School starts the 23rd here for my grandson who will start first grade. My younger grandson will start pre-k in September.
Get yourself some rest when you can!
Sitting here drinking coffee and trying hard to wake up. The grandkids will be here in 15 minutes! I think I need a caffeine iv drip going right now. cheesy

Another hot day here... ahhh, haven't we had enough heat this summer??? In better news, we finally found a big enough a/c window unit for downstairs last night (THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!) so I am not dripping sweat as I type this now!!!!
How is everyone doing? My 2.5 year old asked if we can get a "Chrim tree" in a "wit a bit" (a Christmas tree in a little bit) and stood by the door "waiting for Santa" this weekend. My hubby and I were cracking up!! I guess he really does love Christmas as much as his mama!

We are supposed to reach the upper 90's again today but there is rain in the forecast starting this afternoon. Hopefully, that will help cool things off.

Good morning, everyone!
One more day of work, and then I am off for an extra long weekend! Thankfully, I am making up extra hours to ensure that I do not lose any of my pay. Hot and humid today. The humidex is expected to reach 31C (almost 90F). Not as bad as previous, but still a little muggy. We are leaving for Nationals in Sherbooke, Quebec tonight. Although the weather for the weekend may have rain and thunderstorms here in Ottawa, there is only sun (and some humidity) in their forecast. I like that.
All this talk of school is really making me nervous! I will be in North Bay in less than three weeks and attending my orientation at Nip*issing in exactly three weeks from today. It is hard to believe that I have not been in a classroom in more than four months - and graduated two months ago! Where has the time gone?!
Only three more days until our next milestone?! That is very exciting!! I will do my best to come online on Saturday and share the 3/4 mark experience with everyone. Hopefully I can find some time!

For those who are interested, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has released the dates for their annual November-December tour! They put on a fantastic show and I highly encourage everyone to go see them! It is a great musical performance!!
Unfortunately, I cannot attend this year. They are coming to Ottawa on December 22nd and I will already be in Sault Ste. Marie for the Holidays by then. Still, I hope many others can see them!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!
School starts back on Friday, and my whole house is in a depression...LOL! They are blowing their last week of summer break worrying about next week. I guess I do the same thing each time I have to leave my beloved mountains to go home. I can't even enjoy my last day in the mountains for pouting about having to leave the next day. Haha!
It's hot here like it is everywhere, but September is coming and, hopefully, bringing some moderating temperatures.

I think we have had more than enough 90 degree days this summer but unfortuantely it doesn't look like it is going to end anytime soon. I'm glad you found a big enough a/c unit to keep you cool!!!!!cheesy
