Christmas Countdown - 2010

Well it already feels like 102 degrees here. My neighbor is trying to get me to go with him to the Indiana state fair in indianapolis but I told him no way. I saw on the news this morning that they have treated almost 500 people at the fairgrounds for heat realated illnesses since sunday. There are some t-storms in the area so hopefully one will hit us and cool it off for awhile this afternoon. My plan for today is to review all the new paperwork I got in for my job. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you did the right thing to stay home! I avoid out door activities as much as possible when it is this warm.

Just a quick hello, I am having one of those days today, just in a bad mood, I guess. I have to leave for work in just over a half hour, hopefully the mood will snap soon.
I guess I just need to have Christmassy thoughts to snap it, I was wishing the Christmas tree was up earlier today.

School starts back on Friday, and my whole house is in a depression...LOL! They are blowing their last week of summer break worrying about next week.

Strange to start on a Friday! How nice though, go to school 1 day and off for a whole weekend! cheesy

When my kids were little I stressed some the week before trying to get them on a sleep schedule. It was a battle then I thought, this is crazy, I am not going to do it anymore! Let's have fun and no more worrying about the "sleep thing". During the summer they would stay up late and sleep in a little and we just kept it up until school started, (usually go to bed around 11 pm and sleep until 9 am). It always worked itself out. By the 3rd day of school they got on track with their sleep schedule, bed by 9 pm and up by 7 am, with no problems. I sometimes miss my kids being little again. We had SO MUCH fun all summer long. I actually dreaded school to start back up again.

Brent- I finally talked to my neighbor who work's at Lowe's. She said that they are getting Christmas stuff in but they have not started to put it out yet. She said probably around the end of the month they will start putting some of the outside stuff out on the floor.

It was about 48*with strong winds when we woke up this morning and although it warmed up slightly, it's back there again and both the dogs are hogging a radiator each!!

If anyone here knows of the Halloween QVC or HSN show, I would appreciate it very much! My grandsons loved it so much last year that they kept asking when will it be on again. I am actually going to record it this time for them. Lol. It is actually fun to watch. They dress up and show some neat stuff.

Edit: I just looked on HSN and found out dates but the times are not listed yet. Halloween Store August 27-October 15
I couldn't find anything on QVC though.

My 2.5 year old asked if we can get a "Chrim tree" in a "wit a bit" (a Christmas tree in a little bit) and stood by the door "waiting for Santa" this weekend. My hubby and I were cracking up!! I guess he really does love Christmas as much as his mama!

Hey, Xmas! I hope you are feeling better! I know what you mean...when I'm in a bad mood - those Christmassy thoughts sure do help! What would help even more is if the Christmas Tree was up already! Just remember...this too shall pass :rudolph:.
