Happy Labor Day! I hope you enjoyed your day!
We got a gourd and some small pumpkins for our front pourch. Its just a little sample of what we will have in a few weeks. lol We also went to Hobby Lobby and got a couple of Christmas things since it was 50 percent off!

I've been around more than you realize, but haven't had much time to post because I'm too busy reading, looking at various photo albums, uploading a few new ones of my own, etc.
So it's been a fun Labor Day for me, although I snuck into work for two hours to catch up on a couple of things.

Good evening, everyone!
I've just returned from my trip home to Sault Ste. Marie. The weather was certainly not very favourable but we managed to have a great time anyway. We were able to spend two nights at my cottage and even have an impressive campfire despite sporadic periods of rain.
I am a little sad that Long weekend is over and school will be in full swing starting tomorrow, but I am optimistic because it is teachers college. The fact that the Christmas Season is closing in definitely helps, too. Signs should be popping up in no time!

Wow....seems like yesterday we were at 80 days. Because of our move that keeps dragging and dragging, I'm not getting to read much but I will. So very much to do and so little time. Things being as crazy as they are, I'm starting to get a little frantic. Oh well, in no time things will be back to normal and I can get down to business.
I just want to say how great it is to see all our friends coming back! We have missed you and glad you are home with us for another great Christmas!

Wow, it was a great weekend! I missed all of you guys, but my son and I had a great weekend of hunting and doing other guy-stuff while my wife and daughter did the girl-thing with Nancy's mom & sister.
Jacob & I stayed up late Friday night watching the GI Joe movie and eating pizza & drinking cream sodas (love those!), then we hunted all day Saturday, then we visited with the girls on Sunday, had a birthday party for Jacob Sunday evening, then we hunted all day yesterday. It was great! We had good luck hunting, too. He's turned into a great shot...better than me. Makes a daddy proud!
We're finally closing today on the re-fi after our remodel this summer. 3.75 percent! :???:

I am sitting here eating my breakfast listening to Bing sing Silver Bells among other songs, LC is playing on his Play-doh table, he LOVES play-doh it can keep him busy for hours. I have a quick 4 hour shift at work this afternoon so I actually will be able to have dinner with my family and tuck the boys in at bed time tonight cheesy
Boy, Christmas can't get here fast enough for me right now.

Crown has returned.
Everything is ship-shape at the cottage. You would never know a hurricane had passed by at all.
The renters broke one rocker. Otherwise, no damage from them either.
All in all, good news!
(Oh! And we enjoyed our visit too with lots of good seafood to eat and walks on the beach.)
The count (and another BIG THANKS to Minta for keeping us on track the last 3 mornings!):

Days to Christmas Day: 109.
Wow! Barely over a week until the 100-day window to Christmas.
(Time really moves fast when you are away!)
A bit cloudy here in Raleigh this morning but no rain is predicted.
