Christmas Countdown - 2010

Got my living room rearranged so I now have the perfect spot for my Christmas tree! Plus now all the nooks and crannies are cleaned out and it looks great. I now have one of those fake fireplaces (this is a really good one and looks real) It will be nice to hang stockings there this year.

Good Job getting it all cleaned up, and your more then welcome to come help me and the wife clean ares today.. Chistmas music will be playing and Hot Apple Cider or Hot Coccoa will be served for the helpers.

It's my 5th wedding anniversary today! Unfortunately, we have a newborn and my sister is getting married tomorrow so we have the rehearsal dinner tonight, so no real celebrating, but that's ok! My hubby got me a Target gift card and such a sweet, heartfelt card - the perfect gift!

Happy Anniversary to you both, Even though you have a lot goign on you still have each other and that is really all that matters.

Good Morning All!

So yesterday was a long long long day. First I had to do some paperwork for my new job that starts monday. Then I took my two nephews to the fair and when did the fair become such a ripoff. The rides don't see as nice as when i was a kid the food prices have gone up like 4x the price as i last recall. Also don't get me started on the rude drunk people just stumbling around yelling at people. Next year if we go to the fair its only going to be during the day.

The local fair groounds is operated by the Kiwanas, and every year the have a large concession area selling pancakes & sausage. THAT'S what I go for!

We went to mom's last night for spaghetti, and it was wonderful, as usual. She on the road now for a week in the Smoky Mountains. Lucky her! We're going up in a few weeks when the kids are out for Fall break. I'm ready for that trip.

I finally told my sister to just leave her and that I would take her home this morning. I forgot how tiring having a 2 year old around could be. I took her to hobby lobby and she helped me pick out another new santa to add to my collection. Everytime I would try to get on the computer though she would bring me a book and want me to read to her.

You are just one of the best Uncles EVER!!!! Just think of the lasting lifetime memories you are creating for her. cheesy

Another weekend is upon us. It seems now that we are under the 100 day mark, the days are going to start flying by. I don't want them to go too fast, but I am ready to get on with the official start of the season. Not much going on here in NJ today. Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! I had to watch my youngest niece yesterday while my sister went to the dentist. Then when my sister came to pick her up she refused to go home. Everytime my sister told her to get her shoes on she would run and hide in my bedroom closet and yell that she wanted to stay at my house. I finally told my sister to just leave her and that I would take her home this morning. I forgot how tiring having a 2 year old around could be. Yay its Friday! I have been thinking long and hard and I feel like my home is a little incomplete without a doggie. I love animals (we have 2 cats) but I feel like something is missing. I am still juggling the idea with my Hubby and if we should wait until our 1 year old is a little older...but I know this will happen within the next year and Im very excited!

Not a whole lot planned for the weekend. I hope to get some Fall cleaning done and maybe do a little more Christmas shopping.

My Hubby has been promised a bonus from work for the past few months and it sounds like it may finally happen today or early next week. Im not gonna hold my breath but it would surely be nice and help out with some bills.

I would think it might be best to wait a little bit longer for a dog since the baby is so little. Dogs can be very jumpy or completly calm around kids so its tough call.

Good afternoon... I am really getting excited for fall and all the holidays at this time of the year. Yesterday my son and I stopped in K-Mart and we went out in the lawn and garden area and what did I see but a huge pallet with several boxes of artifical prelite Christmas trees stacked on it!!!! That really got me excited!!!!!

Got a busy night tonight!!!

Then I took my two nephews to the fair and when did the fair become such a ripoff. The rides don't see as nice as when i was a kid the food prices have gone up like 4x the price as i last recall. Also don't get me started on the rude drunk people just stumbling around yelling at people. Next year if we go to the fair its only going to be during the day.

The State Fair of Texas starts next weekend. I am a member of one of the museums there and it's really nice but try to avoid that place during the Fair. I have not gone to it in almost 15 years. You walk through the gates and broke in 30 minutes and didn't do anything. Lol! Being a member of the museum, however, we did get 2 free admission tickets. We never used the ones from last year and not sure if we will use them this year. Even if you get in free it still cost too much to do anything.

Of all things, we purchased concert tickets to the Music venue on the State Fair grounds nearly 4 months ago. At the time I had forgot the Fair will be going on at the same time as the concert. Yikes! The traffic will not be so good when we go. We usually go to concerts when the Fair is not going on.

Some people really love the Fair and look forward to it all year. I am one who don't much care for it. It's really the best time to visit Six Flags, I love that place! Everyone is at the Fair and Six Flags crowds are down.

Bass Pro at Opry Mills is finally opening here in Nashvile since the floods. However the rest of mall wont open for at least aug or sep of next year.
