This happened to us today on TWO credit cards. Several of the charges came out of Ohio for almost $400 and the other was for just less than $100. Why would people stoop so low as to steal like that? And, how in the heck can they get those numbers?

In our farming community, the kids no longer help in the farming businesses, even if it is owned by their families. The farmers are more well to do in our town, so the kids spend a lot of the summer tooling through town in trucks and cars that are quite expensive. Other students have to spend the time going to summer school. Very few would take advantage of summer camp.
Our district is on a 6-1 system, 6 weeks on and one week off. (In fact, I have been off all this week!) At first, we had a few negative comments because of the effect on sports, but now I think everyone is please with the schedule. I know I am. I haven't found the negative impact of lack of retention. I think we all come back refreshed. The past two years have been difficult with budget cuts and doubling of class size, so I have looked forward to the break from all the stress.
Plus, I have a week at Thanksgiving to get ready for both Thanksgiving and Christmas; and I have two weeks at Christmas to listen to MCR all day as loud as I want!!!

Next best thing, I will take a picture of me eating a piece of pumpkin pie and post it here for you to look at!

Brad.. I had to close two credit card accounts- one due to a charge that was being placed on it from MOSCOW... the card company caught it and we closed it- the other was from a toy company in Chicago- I alos closed that account- its a fact of life.. esp if you shop on line..

I arrived in Ottawa - safe and sound. Kim and I have been hanging out since. It's great being back home! Kim's mom is picking us up tomorrow afternoon/evening and we are going to Cornwall until at least Sunday night. Thanksgiving dinner will be delicious! I'm quite excited for it! I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend. Whether it is Columbus Day or Thanksgiving, a long weekend is certainly very welcome!
