68 days for xmas!! wow time is flying!!

I agree. It seems like time is flying to me too. For awhile there, I thought it was only me that felt it was coming fast. It seems all stores have an aisle or two for Christmas now. Even the trees for sale seem to be assembled and decorated in most stores now. I didn't get a chance to visit Walmart or Macys this weekend. But it is definitely on my agenda for the coming week.

post 12,000 will arrive on Oct. 17.....

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

We're off the church first thing this morning, then we going into Savannah for lunch and mall browsing. There's a pretty big Bass Pro Shop there, so I don't think I'll have any trouble finding something to look at while my wife is in the mall. Her sister and husband are goind with us, too.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Today is sooo windy so the farmer's market is out. I hate to take a newborn out for a walk in weather like this. I am going to bug my husband to go to the mall today to take pics of the Christmas displays and browse a bit.

Oh and an update on my mom (she was having some problems) - she is doing so much better. I think she had a bit of a breakdown but she is coming back to normal now. It's great to see my "real" mom coming back, bit by bit. She's eating a bit more now and just seems happier. My parents have settled everything divorce-wise and are being very friendly about it.. they even want to have Thanksgiving as a family, so that's nice. Everything seems to be settling now. Thank you to everyone for your thougths and kind words about her!
I am so happy that your mom is doing better! It will be nice that you all can celebrate Thanksgiving together!

I had to laugh about "bugging" your husband to go to the mall. A lot of men don't care for the mall. My ex was one of them. My husband actually likes the mall and use to go all the time even before we met. He is the one that got me into Black Friday. I use to avoid it and it was his tradition to go to the mall on that day. I am so glad he got me addicted to it! We don't do the "middle of the night" line thing, we just stroll the mall and get there after it has been opened an hour or so.

I am sure your hubby has a good time when he goes though. =)

Now you got me wondering if our malls have started decorating! That's about the only time I like to go is during the Christmas season.

We went to the mall yesterday just to go through the new Christmas store. My daughters and I would go ahead and put up our tree if Hubby would cooperate. Oh well. I guess I can wait 4 more weeks until my birthday. I can always get him to put it up for my birthday.cheesy

Good Morning, Friends.
And a fair morning it is.
A State Fair morning, that is!

With a predicted high of 76 today, it would be a great day to get out to the fairgrounds and soak up some fall entertainment and food.
Unfortunately, we can't go today.
No matter.
Good weather is expected to continue into next week.

We are sunny but still chilly here at this hour (48) but I have the promise of that 76 to keep me warm.

OK!
Days to the Season: 27
Days to Christmas Day: 69
And so we pass under the 4 week mark to Christmas Season 2010.
(So close I can almost smell the Frazier Fir!)

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone!
Get all rested up to begin moving still another week closer to Christmas tomorrow.

I can too, Crown!

We had a blast yesterday, although it wasn't as big as usual. It changed sites this year and, to be honest, I was slightly disappointed. We didn't buy anything, but that wasn't the point in going. It was to just feel the environment, feel Christmas....so from that standpoint...it was a success.

I'll be around...reading the boards...drinking coffee....hanging out.

See yall later.

EEEEWWWWWW........ i'm hungover :(

i NEED starbucks!

i can hear those sleigh bells....... :rudolph:
LOL - feel better!!! Starbucks sounds good right now!

That sounds lovely.. I've always dreamed of visiting MV - hopefully someday!

Ooh, you and me both! I am keeping an eye out for sales on baking staples already!

My husband is actually LOVES the mall (he grew up in the city so shopping was done in town - no malls!!) but he has all these home projects planned so I have to drag him away! And as much as he loves Christmas, he rolls his eyes when I tell him I want to go browse the displays, hehe!!

In 15 days my Christmas Tree will be up!
WOW! That is awesome!!!

HEY EVERYBODY!!! You know...I was sitting down to watch an episode of Ally McBeal from the second season (a gift my Mom gave me for Thanksgiving...just for being "a good daughter". I just love my Mom!!!). Anyway...the scene opened up showing the street with snow lightly falling to the ground...decorations in the store windows...Christmas lights hanging throughout the street - and I thought, "Man...its almost Christmas!!! I gotta get back to MMC!!!"

Soon...that scene I just describe will be just outside our front door!

Everything is going well - and things have been much better. A lot of work involved (which is why I'm not here much) - but oh so worth it!

I've been quite sick for over a week now. I've got bronchitis that just is not getting any better. I'm afraid to suspect that I may have some form of pneumonia. I've been to the doctor's twice already - but may have to go back tomorrow. I'll wait to see how I feel.

Oh...13 more days until the next long weekend for me! YA! Its the weekend our Christmas Tree and decorations go up!!! Can you believe it? I JUST CANNOT WAIT!!!

Anyway...I've missed you guys - and I will make a better effort to be here more. This place just makes me happy. Yes...VERY happy!!!

Have yourself a merry day!!!

I've been going to the local Wal-Mart to see when Christmas will be in and low and behold, they have the trees in. Flavored creamers, No EGGNOG yet, the nearest K-Mart has their Christmas section up and it was a joy to go in, found next years ornaments I think! My husband thinks I'm whacked. There is snow on the peaks in Flagstaff and JC Penney's has a small section of Christmas things up. I have things staged in the house so I dont' have to work to hard to set things up. The cards are made, the poem not. So close, but yet so far away! Merry Christmas everyone!

Have a good night all, I have to make my Christmas list for the wife, she wants to be done Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving this year.

Good night!

That is my goal usually also...well to have at least most of our shopping done by Thanksgiving. Sometimes there is an item or two I like to get on Black Friday and I always find last minute things for the kids..but for the most part to be done by Thanksgiving to really enjoy the rest of the days up til Christmas!

In 15 days my Christmas Tree will be up! cheesy

We are doing that around the same time!!! 13 days for me!!!

You guys are so lucky! That is soooooooo close! Im thinking I will do mine the 13th or the 20th of November this year...for my aritifical and my real tree will be the weekend of Thanksgiving!
