Christmas Countdown - 2010

I am headed to a harvest festival at my local pumpkin patch today. Going to spend some quality time with my nieces there. They move in 3 weeks. They have lived next door to me their whole lives. I am so sad

Good Morning everyone!

I am up extra early thanks to my sweet lovable dog. He had to go outside to potty around 6 am. When he was done he went right back to sleep. I have been up since and today was my sleep in day! I still wouldn't trade him for anything! Well worth losing sleep over. cheesy

Poor girl. I bet you feel helpless that she gets coughs like this all the time.

My grandson has been having a lot of problems with that and asthma. The daily medication does help. Without it, he gets a lot worse.


That is making me want to watch Rudolph! I might have to put in the dvd. =)

my daughter had asthma when she was little (out grew it) but one thing I just thought of while reading these posts, we had too get rid of everything scented in our home. This includes air fresheners, candles, soaps, bubble bath, laundry products, hair sprays etc, anything with a scent went. We could not even allow anyone who smoked to come in (even when they smoked outside the smoke clings to them and is carried with them all the time) So checking your home for any of this stuff may just help your child to out grow this quicker.

MALL HERE BEGINS OVERNIGHT DECORATING THIS WEEK.... WORKERS GO IN AT 10pm
AND WORK UNTIL 8am.....

Went to our mall with my father and sister for supper last night and boxes of decorations were stacked in the main hall ready for unpacking and installation. A few support brackets had already been put up.
(I can tell they are going to be the same decorations as last year. I believe this makes at least 6 years in a row now without a change. No matter. They are GREAT decorations!)

Calm, sunny and cool again here this morning where we stand at 48 slightly shivery degrees.
Our predicted high for this afternoon is an even 70. Nice for mid-October.

Well, our annual State Fair is in full swing. Eleven days of merriment and holiday season inspiration!
My father and I will go at mid week since the crowds are thinner and it's easier for him to get around. My sister, nieces and I will go next weekend. (They like to set a faster pace!)

Nice cool windy day here in NJ. I was up early today so I took advantage of the time and "designed " my return address labels for my Christmas cards. I try to dedicate a few minutes of time to Christmas planning everyday. I can't believe that there are only 28 days to the season. Only 28 days until I put up my tree. The time is going so fast. Today, I am going to go thru a box of my ornaments. Some have seen their last days. I guess now I can weed thru it all and toss the broken ones out. Maybe I will be motivated enough to choose the ones that I will use for the tree this year. Well Christmas pals, have a SUPER SATURDAY. And if you can, try to do something "Christmassy today".

i'm just about to tuck into a nice hot coffee and a chocolate chip muffin, then it's time to get my little girl dressed, we have a busy day!

i'm going for a chinese meal tonight to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday, i can't wait. i love catching up with my girlfriends.

tomorrow we will be going to my inlaws for sunday lunch and a nice relaxing day. enjoy your weekend everybody!

just taking a little break from housework....the floors are vacuumed and cleaned, laundry is done....and the next laundry is already in the mashine....cooking a meal in a few minutes....spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce....very delicious......and then continue....after that I will go visit my grand-parents with kandice

Today, my husband is FINALLY painting the living room and foyer. I am sooo happy! I can't look at these ugly walls another minute, lol! I think it'll really warm things up in here... it's a very warm, deep yellow. I love it!

Today is sooo windy so the farmer's market is out. I hate to take a newborn out for a walk in weather like this. I am going to bug my husband to go to the mall today to take pics of the Christmas displays and browse a bit.

Oh and an update on my mom (she was having some problems) - she is doing so much better. I think she had a bit of a breakdown but she is coming back to normal now. It's great to see my "real" mom coming back, bit by bit. She's eating a bit more now and just seems happier. My parents have settled everything divorce-wise and are being very friendly about it.. they even want to have Thanksgiving as a family, so that's nice. Everything seems to be settling now. Thank you to everyone for your thougths and kind words about her!

back home from my grandma and grandpa...they were in good spirits and felt good....not always that way...they were feelling that good that they were fighting...lol...

Kandice s cold is almost gone...it is weird....yesterday she was coughin the entire time...now she hardly sniffs her nose.....i aint complainin tho...I am glad she is doing better...it is just weird.

Your Boys are soooo cute! Im glad to hear your Mom is doing better! That will be very nice to have Thanksgiving as a family still!

Saturday afternoon woo hoo! My youngest Son is taking a nap and my oldest is sitting here eating lunch and coloring. My parents left for Arizona this morning. I see and talk to them every day so I sure will miss them this week! I temp. got my home computer fixed and since I will be off of work all week I hope to be able to get on here some.

My Hubby took our dog to the vet the other night and found out that he is a black lab/ golden retriever mix... strange..he doesnt have any "golden" color in him but he has the longer hair. He is so sweet! We dont have a lot planned for the weekend. Just to get the kids out in the nice weather and take the doggie for some walks. Most of the house cleaning and laundry is done. My oldest Son wants to make some kind of Halloween treat so Im going to look up a recipe. Have a nice weekend friends!

I hope your nieces don't move far. I have it both ways with my nieces and nephew. I have 2 nieces that live 15 minutes away and I do stuff with them all the time. Then I have a niece and nephew that live in seattle that I have only seen once. I talk to them on the phone everyday though. For christmas I plan on getting webcams for both of my sisters so I can see my nieces and nephews while we chat.
