I have a friend who put his tree up but I haven't seen any around my neighborhood. I may go over to his house just to check it out! hah hah.

.....I don't want to let this Christmas go that I can never look ahead. Then when it's over I feel like it's forever before it returns. cheesy

Maybe if I planned for next year I wouldn't miss Christmas so bad when it's over.
That's the beauty of the Season. When it comes, it's not over. It has depth -- 50 days of depth!

Here's to a great Monday for everyone. It was a shiver inducing 35 degrees F here this morning, but after our breakfast of buttered grits, toast, and eggs OH and can't forget the coffee; we got off to a good start. I will be posting pictures as soon as I am fully finished with all my decorating. Did things different this year and I must say it is beginning to look alot like Christmas. At least in my house. I still have to put the outside lights up and I am thinking about doing that tomorrow when we get into the 70's!!!! Hard to believe it is 46 and half days until Christmas. This year has flown by and I have enjoyed almost all of it. Mr. HJ said to wish everyone " A very merry Early Christmas." He is finally getting into the spirit when he realized I was pulling everything out to start my annual decorating party of one. Have a great day everyone.
Sounds like a lovely MOnday... share some pics when you can!
Chilly this morning, it was 26 when I left for work this morning. We had a couple of inches of snow this weekend. It was need to watch our high school football game in the snow on Friday.
Snow, yay!!! I love hearing about the snowfall - send some to PA!
Is it bad that I am already starting to plan my decorations for next year and starting a list of things to look for on clearance after christmas?
LOL - I do that, too!!!!
I always get depressed on christmas night when it is all over. Getting up early on the 26th and shopping for new decorations to put out the next year always helps me get over it fairly quickly though. cheesy
Shopping the day after (and the DAYS after - when things go to 90% off at Target, someone better hold me back!) really helps me to start looking forward to next year!
I just got all of my christmas decorations down from the attic expect for the tree. I have them all stacked at the end of my bed right now. I will start sneaking them out next weekend.

Lucky you! I think I'll try the sneaking things out approach!

Good evening everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. I'm getting ready to start my homework... I'm not doing so well in Pre-Calculus. Math is definitely not my forte. I'm counting down to Thanksgiving break, though... can't wait :D

Continuity,,,,
That's what the defenders of the season believe in: continuity. All year long, we celebrate here and hang on to that which brings us joy- a commonality of purpose. The rest of the world catches up in late November.. but here, we celebrate with each other every day of the year. As the world continues to move faster, we hold on to traditions passed down for generations. As people move further and further from that which is right and good, we celebrate the time of the year when all appears just perfect. There are so few things that we can hold on to that never seem to change. Loved ones leave us, kids grow and leave home, we almost want to stop ourselves and forget that it is the season.. that which continues to bring us joy and laughter each year, that is the reason why we seek out each other.. almost anyonymously.. and year in.. year out, we share the magic that is Christmas and we....... continue.

and so it has come to this... 4 days until the season.

Hey feel free to repost this tomorrow AM folks.. it is the special countdown post for day 4.. I am SICK that I will miss the countdown Fri night.. though I will check in at some point during the day.

Much Love,,,, YABBA!

Binger....love it. Just love it. But I just love when, in all your special posts, you say......and so it has come to this....

You have a wonderful way with words, my friend.

So here is the scoop. Until Friday, I'm out of here. I'm going to have wifi, but I'm going to be in meetings so it will be in and out.

We get done Friday around 3ish. Three hour ride home....sixish....order pizza, put on a Christmas movie.....7ish....from then until oneish...on the board welcoming in the season. Make plans to be here! i was here right until the power went out last year and it was a blast.

Oh yea, by the way.....

Saturday...Me, Wife, Christmas Shopping, Thanksgiving grocery shopping, and a dinner date for two = my idea of a perfect evening.

Also, sorry Wade Phillips....ol' Ballcoach doesnt' like to see coaches get fired. But hey, it's part of the business.

Good evening,

All the snow melted pretty quickly, and it ended up being a very rainy, raw day here, I guess it was just a sample of what's to come. I am just getting ready for a long winterish rest, watching my Johnny Carson Christmas DVD I am loving this being so close to the season, I am going to enjoy every possible moment this year, and not feel so rushed like in years past.

Have a great night!

Today is my boyfriends birthday, but he went to work early as always, so i decided to get myself a cupcake and chocolate coffee for breakfast :) I will get up the balloons and wrap his gifts and everything in a moment, just enjoying the calm of a new day before i start :)
