These pictures were taken at North Park Mall in Dallas. This Santa and reindeer are made entirely out of food. Pecans, licorice, jelly beans and Santa's beard it made out of marshmallows. I think there is other food on there as well. It was made back in 1963 and has been at this mall ever since. My mother use to take me to this mall and now I have taken my children and now grandchildren. While we were there they were doing a news story on it. The media was all over the mall yesterday.
Reindeers made of pecans.

Happy Saturday everyone,
I am finally able to stop by, and I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, mine was great, and the boys behaved excellently at my wife's aunt house. I was on the other side of the Black Friday dealing with the crowds at the store, it is just amazing people watching that day, by 7am the store was a ghost town, I got out at 11:30am (after getting there at 3:30am) went home picked up my wife, got a babysitter and spent the day shopping,mainly at Toys R Us. We got everything done for them and went out to dinner, and went back to the mall. It was a great day.

Wow! What a fun day! We actually went back to the mall, came home, and shopped online. I'm 1/2 and hope to finish up tomorrow. Isn't this fun!
It got really cold here the last day or so. We was at 75 and then about 30 hours later we were down to 25. 50 degree drop in that time sounds bad.....but 25 degress was in two hours. Talk about shock!
Anybody got plans for tomorrow? I'm going to wake, work for a few hours, and then relax and watch some NFL football. My Cowboys won't be playing, but there still will be plenty of good games on.
Enough for now...I'm heading to bed. I will see all in them morning!

Taken the dogs out for a walk through the fields - yet another one of my less than brilliant ideas!! The snow and wind are dreadful; felt like Nanook of the North for the first time in a very long time. We even had thunder and lightning through it all. It was quite something. Cracker has now defrosted but when we came home, it was very obvious by the snowballs clinging to his legs that he was a Cairn with French Poodle tendencies!!
We have enough food in the fridge and freezer so I'm not hugely worried - tomorrow I'm just going to have to see what it's like before venturing the 16 miles to work!

It's been a busy weekend! We went to my mom's for Thanksgiving, and she said she wanted to go shopping on Black Friday. But who in the world would go with her? So, I left the house at 4am Friday, and we went to Savannah. We were too late. The lines were wrapped around buildings and out the doors. We finally did find some good deals, but it was a lot of work.
It was my Saturday to work at my father-in-law's store, so that's what I did yesterday. After lunch today, our town beautification group is getting together to plan out city decorations.

We took a video of Santa ice skating at the Galleria Mall on Black Friday, including the tree lighting ceremony. This is the part where he does flips on the ice. They call him Mistletoes! He is a big star on ice!
