Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My husband had to work Black Friday AND his work had their annual open house on Saturday, so he was working nearly all weekend.. It was okay though... nearly all of my decorations are up now! Just have to search for some things that got misplaced during our move....

Off to search for Cyber Monday deals for the kids!

Cyber monday? is that something special as well?? A shame your husband had to work that much, but a good thing you got to decorate

For the first year ever Im going to have outdoor lights on the house, really cant wait, we ordered them yesterday, cant wait till they get here!! putting my decorations up this week, cant believe how quick time is going!

Hiii every one made an appointmet with our realtor to go look at the house on saturday! I'm totally excited for now we can go and look together!

And I'm counting down to Saint Nicholas on 5 december, probably the bigest Dutch celebration! Only 5 days and 7 hours left!

Its always nice to learn more about others cultures! I wish I could be there to celebrate with you!!! And here is a question, WHY is it monday again so soon? lol. We had a great weekend. Put my Grandmothers lights up on the house and put the tree up too. My Son ran over to Grandma and gave her a big hug. Then he turned to me and said "Bye bye Daddy!' haha. We had a great weekend. Watched Christmas vacation, Charlie Brown Christmas, A Muppet Family Christmas and Christmas in November. Whew! Have a great day all!

Good Morning Everyone!!! I am a little slow getting around today. I was to mad after the colts game to sleep so I was up half the night. I have managed to take some pictures of my decorations this morning and post them in the show off section. I still need to sweep and mop the kitchen and entry way before I can put out my christmas rugs. I also don't have anything up outside yet expect for my front door wreath and my countdown sign. So I plan on spending the rest of my day getting everything cleaned and put out. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I am dreaming gingerbread now...been baking individual bricks now, which actually bake really fast because they are so small. But, that said, it is starting to come together. Also making Santa and his reindeer out of chocolate with a nice mold I found. Hoping to have him fling over the castle.

Got all the decorating done over the weekend. We turned on our outdoor lights last night for the first time. I love our new timer, it turns them on at dusk and off whenever I want! Now I just need to finish shopping! :busy:

Seriously -- we've got at least 2 feet of new snow in the yard today. Things are not moving well in Salt Lake today.

They say there were 260 car wrecks in the valley yesterday. For the life of me I don't understand those who go out unnecessarily.

Don't forget, it makes headline news as well. Sometimes regularly aired programs are taken over "breaking news" when it snows an inch.

Good evening all,

I had a very good weekend with the family, but it was back to work today. I finished up the outdoor lights yesterday, but while I was hanging the lights on the roof line I lost my balance on the ladder and fell 6 feet to the blacktop, I was quite lucky I was not injured just a small cut on my finger and a small bruise on my ankle. We also put our second tree up last night and it is beautiful especially with the new bubble lights on it, I will post pictures of everything soon. 3.5 weeks until vacation I cannot wait because it will also mean Christmas eve is here.

Same here! we have had afew inchs of snow the past few days and the country has been thrown into chaos!! You think after the last few bad winters we have had that we would be abit more prepared! Most of the schools in our district are closed today and loads of accidents are being reported. Just hope no one is seriously hurt!

Hi everyone, good morning! today I woke up looking to white roofs and white cartops, but nothing on the ground, it does look beautiful though!

Only 5 nights left to sleep for all the children in Holland, and then it's Saint Nicholas birthday! Very exciting time, we all better be good, otherwise he won't bring us any gifts at all! We have one programm with Saint Nicholas News... well if that programm wasn't there, we wouldn't know about all the problems that Saint NIcholas' Black Petes cause... this year theres 2 main problems:
1. they accidentally took a Baby Pete with them to Holland, if Saint Nicholas finds out, he will immediately go back to Spain (where he lives), so the Black Petes have to hide the baby for the Saint... but we think the Saint already knows of course!
2. they lost all the gifts, because of the Forget-Pete, who took them somewhere,but can't remember where!
All this of course is really exciting for the kids here! So let's all hope that Saint Nicholas won't go back to Spain before Sunday, and that they find the gifts in time!

Hello everybody. Everybody is finally in the Christmas mood in our household. My mum is going shopping for more Christmas decorations which we can place around the house. Me and my sister made Christmas cookies yesterday and i watched a few Christmas movies already. This is going to be an awesome Christmas!
