Good evening, Christmas family.

Kind of a quiet day. I worked my shift, ran out of work which is very bad, but it usually happens at this time of the year to a degree. I am watching a biography of The Bee Gees. Very interesting. All the furchildren are asleep as I will be soon I hope. My tree is still up and will remain so for at least a couple more weeks. I will know when it is time to put it away. The garland is still up on the mantle but that is a 24/7 365 days a year thing !!! I usually turn it on every evening throughout the year. It makes it so festive and less depressing !

The outside decorations were put away today and I must admit when I discovered they were put away I cried. It gets harder it seems for me each year to look forward to the next Christmas. I don't know why. On one hand a year is so long yet so short of a time to wait.

Have a great evening, Christmas family xo
So sorry you feel bad. If you feel you need a little Christmas just pop in a movie, listen to music and chat with us here! I hope you get better! =)

I just got a call from my eye doctor reminding me about my check up tomorrow. im sure im about to have to wear glasses or contacts. It seems when I turned 35 last year everything happened at once. Anyhow I'm getting ready to cook dinner for just myself tonight hamburgers and fries...:)(and i just got back from the gym) hope everyone has a good evening!

I got glasses when I turned 30, I felt like it was part of being 30. I lost them right after Christmas, which is bad because I need them to drive.

Good evening,

I forget how slow work is after the New Year, I think having teeth pulled would have been more appealing tonight, and I had a headache that would not quit to make matters worse. I am home winding down now looking at my tree, it is still so beautiful.

I hope everyone had a great Tuesday!

Beverly,
Your article on more that one day of Christmas was wonderful. I wanted to let you know about a little group, no, really quite a large group, of Christmassy people who celebrate Christmas every day. And we here at MMC (My Merry Christmas--mymerrychristmas.com) invite you to check us out. If you go to the forums page, and scroll down, you will see figures that will amaze you. We hit 300,000 posts this year and we are in the process of going over 16,000 posts just on our year-long Christmas Countdown. You will not be disappointed! Trust me. Teachers don't lie!!!

I hope she joins, great e-mail to her.

Good weds morning everyone! Another early morning for me I thought I stayed up late enough last night that I would not wake up this early before work but no I woke up at 230 again...I guess that gives me time to catch up here, and make out my grocery list for the week as local grocer always has sales on weds, and last but not least wash dishes from last night and clean the kitchen.:( I can handle single life again after 13 years of marriage, but one thing that I find the hardest is kitchen duty especially if I have friends over because most of the time they eat, drink, then leave and its usually every day.

well hope everyone has a great weds morning! :)

Hi guys!! Haven't been on much.. lots to do, lots of sales to hunt, lol!!
That's a great idea actually... I need to keep myself busy every day, so I won't start feeling down or wondering about the exam-results (which of course, are not in yet), I haven't planned anything for today, but a sales hunt would do :) thanks!

There is a very slight chance we may get snow flurries this coming Monday. I am excited even though it's a slight chance. There has been times in the past where they predict a "few flurries" and we get several inches. I sure hope so since we haven't had any snow yet.
I hope you get your snow :) I'll keep my fingers crossed!!:snowball:

Hey Everyone! I will be out of here (work) in a few minutes. I am back to being off on my Wednesdays so it will be nice to have off tomorrow. Not sure what I will do yet but I will be happy to be home with my Boys. Its cold here but Sunny which is always nice .
Sounds like you desserve a day of! hope you have a great day with your boys :)

I hope you will feel better soon... Maybe you could get some Christmas items on sale and gift wrap them as a surprise for yourself for next year :) It is a good thing to keep your tree out till when you know it can go... Big holiday hugs!!!

Maybe you could tell your friends that this is hard for you and ask them to help clean, or maybe invite yoruself over at friends houses... Friends do understand such things if you just tell them... It is really unfair of course that you have to clean every day!

Good morning every one :)
Yesterday I had a nice day, it was great going out with my mum. Today on the other hand I have nothing planned and doing nothing gets me down, so I made a long list of things I can do in january :P It usually gets to me by night.. I lie awake thinking about what I did wrong or right and what will happen if I don't pass the exam, and then the next morning I can't wake up, and so the next evening I get asleep even later... Don't know how to break this circle... If any one knows, I'd be happy to hear it :)

Hi everyone, I am on the train back to University after 5 weeks with the family at home in Scotland :( The mixture of christmas blues and home sickness is just starting to set in! I think its going to be a down couple of days!

As they say in a great Christmas song....Baby, it's cold outside...I mean real cold.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Work is very busy and we are getting back into the swing of things. The kids lose all concept of routine when they are out, so it gets a little difficult at times. But, after this week things will be fine.

I'm really excited about the NFL playoffs this weekend. To me....all these ballgames is a continuation of Christmas. I'm like a kid at the candy store. Does anyone else really enjoy the playoffs?

Have a great day!

There are still a few houses in my neighborhood that still have their outdoor Christmas lights on. Do any of you guys still have them out?

I am looking forward to the NFL playoffs. I won my fantasy football league this year and won $815.00. :)

What I like to do at this time of the year to help chase away the post-Christmas blues is to look for Christmas decorations still on houses and speculate as to which will be the last to come down.
Gradually, they disappear one by one like slowly melting snow until only one is left.

Anyone else like to do this?

That's one thing about working nights, I do like looking at the decorations on my way home. There are quite a few on my way home that still have their decorations up. I like to see how long some people keep their stuff up.

I get more excited about the playoffs when the Cowboys are in. I agree with you about football and Christmas, they go together!

I will now root on Wayne's team, the Ravens.
