Good evening,

Kids are in bed, Bruins are on, just relaxing now, a very good day after digging out, we watched Despicable Me, it was very cute but the Peppermint bark was delicious. I am going to start to look into what I will need to do to open my own Christmas store, it will be a few years away but just want to know what I will need to do, I think I will do well running it since I have been in retail management for most of the last 15 years and was acting store manager a few occasions. I am so excited about this.

tthat is the absolute best news I have heard all day !!!! SOOOOO Happppy you are putting the wheels in motion!! :snowball:

In my early years, I subbed in a shorthand and other business classes. The first thing the students wanted to know was what my major was. I told them it was English. They proceeded to write notes to each other in shorthand. I watched them for a minute or two and asked them what they were doing. They said they were writing the lessons they were supposed to be working on. I asked them to let me see, and they did. I then proceeded to ask them questions about how the shorthand they were writing had to do with the lessons. They told me some big whoppers. Then when I took one of the papers and read the shorthand out loud to them, they were shocked. They said, "But you majored in English." I said, "Yes, I did. But I took shorthand to help me with all the notes I had to take in classes, so I spent over two years in shorthand. Needless to say, we were able to finish the real lessons!!

Morning friends,

Hope everyone is doing well so far. Im subbing as we speak, I have a study hall with only five kids. In Special ed, we keep the classes small. Iam new to some of these kids and they are hesitant to ask me for help in anything. I am in High School They are so leery! Its rather funny.

I hope you all have a good day ! Ill be back off and on to check in and see " whats up " Talk to you all soon . :treeguy:

While I was making dinner I went and got a few "regular music" CD's to listen, I went to put it in and I saw a Bing Crosby CD and put that instead and listened to that instead, my wife walks in and says "what is this?" I saw Bing and wanted to listen to him instead, she just smiled and shook her head at me. She knew I was a Christmas nut when she married me, and she loves that about me.

Great post, Bradmac!

Binger, the opera was great as usual!

Annette, welcome back!

Christmas-a-holic, glad you're feeling better!

Gabulldawg, hope today is going better for you than yesterday!

Kerstig, hang in there. I know it's difficult right now, but, as my mother-in-law says, "Now ain't always." cheesy

Hope all is better with Smokey! I know how you love all your furbabies!

Good morning, Christmas Family !

Just stopping by real quick to say hello !!

A little more work today Thank GOD !! I got kind of scared last evening because my little Smokey got sick. With both my senior kitties passing within a month I sort of panicked !! But he is okay. We all get sick from time to time. It is that mother instinct in me that was going off........This morning he is rip-roaring through the house as he always does.

Wonderful Opera last night. I am very honored to know all of you xo

Have a great day Christmas Family !! xo

Hello all,

The sun came out in Western Pa today as well, took advantage of it while I could and took my dog for a nice long walk. Was out a little bit ago,and saw that someone down the street had their tree still up. Made me feel bad that I took mine down. I consoled myself by telling myself" But it was brown" Oh well, my outside lights are still on. and my neighbor across the way from me has turned hers on as well. She followed suit and put red and white lights up as well this year.

I also have those dangling snowflake lights hanging off my deck,I am leaving those up as well. They look so festive in the winter with the snow and all.

Im still on a high from last nights Opera !!! I cant wait till the next installment ! :treeguy:

Kids 1, Parents 0! Wow, Murphman is now Platinum!! Congrats! You can run with the Big Dogs now.

Well at five this morning my one year old decided she had enough sleep and it was time for everyone to wake up. The Mrs. and I slowly got her to relax and fall back asleep and then we promptly dozed off ourselves and overslept. Getting three kids ready in the morning in half the alloted time is about as fun as a root canal.

I could us a nap.

Git 'em, girl!!!

W0w We are cruising quickly to 1800!!!! Im subbing today in the high school, some of the kids decided to "test" this sub. Oh my silly kids, I will make their heads " roll" !!! I am fair and fun but cross the line and you are done!! Hey ,that rhymes !! Anyhow , I can handle it.

Its getting close to lunch time here, talk to you all later. !

I'm waiting. I'm waiting!

I took another crack at it and got the ridge at the end of the driveway shoveled out. Like shoveling cold oatmeal full of boulder-sized ice cubes ... I bet I'm walking funny tomorrow. I was PLENTY warm when I got through with that! I hope it doesn't all freeze solid tonight!

And would you believe it's calling for more snow Friday and next week?? We're running out of places to put the plowed and shoveled snow. Wish we could ship some to the folks in Texas and California who have been asking for some!

Wrong answer, xmas365. I have BEGGED for all the extra snow to be sent here to northern California!!

At this point IDK with more coming Friday we better learn how to build igloos we may not be able to get into the house if it keeps piling on like this.

We could do it if everyone wants to get bookin' and post 24 posts, and 124 posts will get us to 2,000!! Let's go, people!!!
