That sounds SO good---wish I had a crockpot full of that right now, 'cause it's time for dinner! How much chicken do you use? You might want to post that recipe in the Recipes forum where everybody can find it.

I forgot to report that I bought a Kindle last Friday. I promised to let you know what I thought of it.

I think I'm going to like it. I can pick it up when I have a spare moment and read a few pages without fumbling with a bookmark or holding a book open. When my eyes are tired at night, I can bump up the size of the type! I've loaded it with some free public-domain books and downloaded some samples from Amazon. (Yes, Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" is in there!)

One thing I don't like, especially as a proofreader: If the samples I downloaded are any indication, digital books are rife with formatting glitches and typos. It's too bad that digital books don't get the attention of a good editor and proofreader, especially since some of them cost as much as or more than a real book! But in the interest of portability and convenience, I'll just have to grit my teeth and overlook the errors. I bought a nice sleeve to protect it when I take it along to work or on a trip.

So if you don't mind some typos, I'd recommend the Kindle to avid readers.
 
I just realized I left out the secret ingredient for my Italian herb chicken!! There is a slow cooker mix from McCormick's that you mix in with the tomatoes, tomato paste, etc. THEN you pour that mixture over the chicken. Here's the COMPLETE recipe!

I normally use 4 breast and 4-6 thighs. That way, we have leftovers for the following night and I have a meal for lunch at school the next day!

In other news today has been awful to be quite honest,I am having problem with my new commanding officer as he talks down to me,but today he screamed at me. I have been in the military for 18 years and am use to rough talk and all but this is like boot camp type screaming..I have a feeling I am going to be in bathroom alot counting to ten or 100,or whatever it takes to keep from knocking him out. Anyhow I'm glad today is my thursday and I have only one more day until a long weekend.
I hope everyone is doing great tonight!I know I am about to settle in tonight and hang out here for a while!

MerryCarey, can you use it broad daylight or is the resolution too dim? I like the idea of increasing the font size, my eyes tain't what they used to be...

Awww...That's okay !! You are more than welcome, glad to do it and also glad you are MY and ALL of our Christmas friends. Is there anyone you can talk today about the nincompoop at work ? I know EXACTLY how that is !!

Sorry you have to deal with difficult people at work... I have no words to lighten your load, except to say, put on an armor of Teflon and let those sizzling words roll right off you like a non-stick pan...
