Can you believe it, the 4th of July is less than six months away.

Wow, less than six months! I love the Fourth---the town I grew up in has a firemen's carnival every year during the week of the Fourth, and they used to have a parade that Sunday. So I feel very festive as the Fourth approaches!

I have a nice little collection of vintage July 4th postcards, too.

and it's my birthday ...

In about 11 minutes, I will leave y'all to go grade papers. Now I am sure that makes all y'all SO sad!!!

Holy Jingle bells, we are almost there!! Unbelievable!! Hello folks, I was over at my momand dads on the other side of town tonight. Driving through their neighborhood , I spied several houses with lights and I could even get a peek in through the window of one house and I could see a tree still up in all its yuletide splendor.

Hope everyone is doing well tonight, I am amzed at the ambition and fortitde everyone is showing by making so many posts Its so nice. Its so nice to come here! I get the feeling that even though we are all miles apart that there is a genuine camaraderie and friendship. I just wanted to pop in for a few and see how the count is going. Hopefully I willbe able to read the posts posted previously . Talk to you all later !! :snowball:

You still get lights (and a tree) in the neighborhood? I love it! Merry Christmas to us all!

Everyone is going to bed including me I think...maybe I can sleep until 6 am! I never stay up this late anymore! but I will talk to yall when I get back from my camping trip sat.or sun..(pray that I don't get eaten by the alligators!:)

Friends....got home about one hour ago. I got one more night of being away from home (tomorrow night) and then I'm done with night work for about a week. Not that it's bad, but starting at work at 6 or 6:30 am and then not getting home until 8 or 9 at night makes for long days.....especially as many as I had to do. But hey, I'm paying the price for keeping my December clear...and I would much rather be home around December instead of January.

Going to check out the rest of the board....by the way...this pace is impressive....

Hello again, my Christmas family !

After my last post about work being so slow, etc. I just HAD to share this with all of you, my precious Christmas Cousins !

I GOT ANOTHER JOB OFFER FOR MORE MONEY !!!!!!!! Woo-Hoo Right ??

Of course I accepted it. It is still as a transcriptionist working at home but it is night shift and that is fine with me. Half the time I am up at night anyway. I just tested for them yesterday and the recruiter called me first thing this morning. She said I did a very nice job on the test.

This is a true miracle and much needed !!

Thank you for always being here for me when I am sad (which is most of the time) and for when I am joyous like now. You are an incredible group of people and as I have said before, I love EACH and EVERY ONE of you ! xo I am so blessed to know all of you.

Please keep me in your prayers that this was the right thing to do but I cannot help but think this was sent by God.

Love you Christmas family xo

:tree:

Congrats! I am so happy for you.

I just realized I left out the secret ingredient for my Italian herb chicken!! There is a slow cooker mix from McCormick's that you mix in with the tomatoes, tomato paste, etc. THEN you pour that mixture over the chicken. Here's the COMPLETE recipe!

I am making Italian herb chicken that is SO EASY that it's almost a sin to say I am making it! You put chicken in the bottom of the crockpot (I use breasts and thighs), mix together 2 cans of garlic-basil diced tomatoes, 1 can roasted garlic tomato paste, chopped onion and mushrooms and McCormick's slow cooker Italian Herb Chicken Mix. Pour that mixture over the chicken, turn crockpot to low and let it cook all day. When I get home tonight, I will cook up a pot of rice over which we will spoon a piece of chicken and the yummy sauce. Yummo!

Are the breasts and thighs boneless?
