Hi all, had to skim through the last 11 pages as there is alot to read!!

Rudolph day in 2 days!! Can anyone confirm the times for chat in the different time zones??

We are all living the soundtrack, Seawaters. From the Psalms of David and others to whatever happens tomorrow, someone will document life in song. Be it a major or minor news event or a personal emotion, there is or will be a tune about it.

Chances are great that there are already tunes out there for the feelings we have experienced. Music is history. Music is now. Music is the future. Music is our life's soundtrack. (...and then there is talk radio that offers no edification at all!)

I talked with my wife about our future Christmas store today, and we have set the goal to be about 5 years from now to be up and running, we want to find a good location in a strip mall or plaza to start, and go from there, I have ideas on what I want, and what I don't want is in a mall where you have to follow the mall's hours, I would rather make my own hours. Since to start it will probably be myself or wife when needed to run the store I can't expect to have too many employees at the beginning.

I have visited many Christmas stores over the years and all but one that I know of is out of business. But they are located in a place with high foot traffic which is only way a speciality store will make it as a rule. I hope the best for you. But working around retail properties and company's in them I have seen a lot of failure due to being in wrong place or to small a place. There is a lot of hidden cost's with a retail operation. Another thing that seems to hurt new place a lot is the CAM charges. They go up and sometimes down a little but as a rule up all the time. So please talk with people who do know what they are talking about and find a realtor a friend if possible who will be very honest with you. Here is link that talks of the local store that has made it, is a very neat place good size as well. But know for a fact they are paying very high rent so they have to really sell things. Their location is costing no less than $18 a sq ft plus CAM charges You might notice the reviews written are from people not located in Kansas City. This is what being in the right location does for you.

Yes I enjoy the wharf area eating at Alioto's is nice, but I like looking at boats. Stomp around Ghirardelli Square and look at stuff I don't need but would like at same time. Oh and yea have to get some chocolate. Pier 39 I was thinking maybe had a Christmas store or since last time I was there was in early November several years ago just might have been due to time of the year. But sure had a lot of ornaments because I bought some and seemed like a ton of stuff but can't remember the name. But Alioto's name I never forget great food. Yes if you know where to go in SF it's nice I still have an aunt in the area should go see her some day I guess.

Finally got a chance to get in and say hello.
Very cold here all day, warmed all the way up to -18c. So to celebrate I am making a nice big pan of meatball soup, got the stock simmering now and it is making the house smell great!
