Good morning all ... the kids and I are home enjoying a snowday today. Just wish the hubby could have stayed home too. The onlybad part about lastnigt's storm is that we lost power around midnight and it was noot restored until about 5 am. Got a bit cold in here.. good thing we had plenty of warm blankets for the beds. They are calling for more possible snow next week and still cold temps. Now this is 2 winters in a row with above normal snow fall and it's still going to climb for this year. I am thinking this summer I may start buying some more warm blankets incase next winter is colder and snowier then normal too.

Well the kids and I are going to make some cookies later today that we did not have time to make at Christmas.

Oh, Minta, and everyone in the Northeast - I'm thinking about you today as I watch the Today show covering your Snowmageddon. They said there was even lightning, considered it the snowiest snow storm. Many without electricity. Stay safe!!!

Good morning everyone!
We lost our electric during the storm last night, which in our area means we have no heat, no light, and no water. My Mom lives next door to me, and is in the same boat. The solution? I brought my Mom to work with me! Hey, at least the facilities here are working. And after work she's going to my Sister's house, which still has electric. We're having a lot of fun telling the patients that my 80 year old Mom is the New Secretary.

Afternoon all! Well its Thursday again! Almost Friday. I have been really enjoying my ipod touch. I can sit in bed and stream movies from my computer via my wireless router right to my ipod! Not much new. Mom called to see how we were doing. Informed her that William can count to 3 now. Just working away at work lol. Helping people fix their computers. Boy some people shouldn't be allowed to own them! hahaha have a great day everyone!

I am watching cable news right now covering the snowstorm. And I am really surprised at all the storm totals thus far. New york City has already broken records as the snowiest Jan on record. I do feel sorry for all of you guys up there having to shovel out of your driveways! Living in the deep south we never have even think about doing that.

Good morning everyone! not feeling too hot here this morning,can't tell if I'm getting a cold or sick or the flu or if its just allergies..I will know by lunchtime since I just took a claritan allergy pill. I know at work about 25 percent of everyone is out sick.
Hope everyone is doing good and for the ones in the northeast be careful on the way to work if you have it today!!

I don't drink coffee either! Lol. I actually have a juicer and make fresh veggie juice every morning and feel so much more energy now. Much more energy than I ever did with coffee.

Aww! I love when Wayne has a day off that we go out and do something fun. I also like for him to be lazy, enjoy video games and take in a movie. If there are any major chores that need to be done we usually do them together. He helps out a lot but I never ask much from him.

He works so hard, as well as I, so we need to just chill when we can! Chores and projects are overrated. :lol:

I know your family have some good fun quality family time together, so that's all good! cheesy

I figure there are always chores that need done, they all get done eventually. If it something urgent, then we take care of it as soon as possible. With the hours I work, about the only time I get with you is on Saturday, I am not spending that doing chores.cheesy

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! I have a tip for all of those who attend the pines on wednesday night. If carl challenges you to see if you can eat as many fried twinkies as he does. Don't Do It!!!!!! You will lose and then you will spend all night on the bathroom floor like I did or maybe I am just getting the stomach bug that is going around. Either way it has not been a fun night or morning. I hope everyone else is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

I am done for this week and next week starts a venture which I hope will be a LONG AND SUCCESSFUL one with a new company. Forward !! I have always believed "the only way out is through..." I hope I am right.

I have to share something with my Christmas family. My feelings are so hurt. I had signed up to be a member of a Medical Transcriptionist website and because of a post I made, they banned me !! I have apologized many, many times but to no avail. I have never been banned before from anywhere. I had posted a question Are There Even Any Good Jobs/Companies to work for ??" They interpreted it that I was asking for leads for jobs. I did not mean it that way. I wasn't even warned !!! :-? I only made 3 posts with this site and now I am kicked off........I was really just trying to make conversation. I didn't expect a list of companies and/or jobs....The thing that is odd is that this site actually DOES have a section which posts jobs !! So why all the hysterics about my post ?

Oh well......I guess I am just not wanted there. As long as my Christmas family wants me and my furchildren all is good !

Sounds to me like they filter the site for certain phrases and automatically bar users using certain phrases? I guess they're okay with posting jobs, but not posting requests for jobs (even though that isn't what you intended)?

Aww Caninemom don't be upset. There are many wierd funky websites out there that are so clique ish. Don't even try to wrap your head around what you did/did not do to get banned. We all love you here and that is all that matters!: if you only made 3 posts they did not get a chance to know how sweet and kind you are!

So sorry to hear Caninemom. I am a moderator for a popular online game and I can mute players and report many suspicious activities. I always used common sense before muting or reporting. Some mods abuse their powers and can't wait to give players a boot. I have had many friends get banned just because something they said was taken wrong. They couldn't even explain their way out of the problem. I am still a moderator but haven't played that game as much for a couple of years.

Sorry to hear this happen. You would think they would let you explain yourself and give you another chance. ((Hugs)) to you!

Thank you for always hearing me and for all your affection. Getting rejected by other transcriptionists was so unexpected for me. I forgot to mention but not only am I a game moderator but was also a moderator to forums that involved the game we played. We never just booted someone but removed their post and contacted the person on the rule broken. If the person didn't want to respect the rules and continued on we banned them from the forums. I stepped down from being a moderator since I am not as active in the game and do not have as much input. I am still part of their forums but this one is a lot more fun! cheesy

Anyway, Caninemom, you don't need to be with hard headed people that run those forums if they cannot accept an explanation and apology. It seems to me there will be more problems in the future. Stay with us! cheesy
