Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link. I saved it to my favorites. I saw putz houses on the link. I made a couple of them this year and Snow-in-Texas posted them on the forums. I need more practice to make them better but it was the first time I attempted it. They were made with cereal boxes.

Yes and also has a spot for doing repair work on the 40's to 60's old cardboard houses. I read through it and all in all good pointers. All was some what common shop practices for me outside of using paper sacks for repair work. Thats an awesome idea and would make some easier to fix.

Yes cereal, small gift, just any small box is a great way to make putz houses. Now days some what easier because you have all the colorer Sharpies now to do the detail work with and to outline windows doors and what not to make them jump out more. I found using 100% silicone caulking to glue the cellophane plastic over the windows to work better than glue does. It holds it in place better while it dries.

Building putz houses for Christmas is for most part easy, fun and a very cheap way to make some really cool houses. Many years ago I use to make once in a while and give away as gifts. You make the house look sort of like the one the person you are giving it to lives in. Great to get the kids to be a part of while teaching them basic craft skills.

Well it appears that Kansas City area isnt the place to be for late after Christmas bargins. Went to local Dollar General and what was left was well you could see why it was still there. Was all mark down to ten cents but nobody wanted either. Wouldn't have filled one of their hand carry shopping baskets anyway. And that was all I saw all day. I hit a lot of places today just getting out and about looking for stuff and ideas as well.

Don't know about anywhere else but did notice or seems to me like Valentine Day stuff isn't moving very well with it being only nine days away. Maybe everyone is waiting to see if things going to be marked down first. Know local lady at Dollar General ran back to get some Coke and said something to her and she said their stuff moving real slow. So might be a bad year retail wise for Valentine sales.

They still exchange cards in grade schools anymore like we use to years ago. Or has some hateful being stopped that as well?

Just wanted to drop in and tell everyone good night....I'm really excited....the next week is a great one for a football and racing fan....

Happy Superbowl Sunday to all....

For me....it's like Christmas after Christmas...

Good Morning MMC !

Had to shovel at least 4" of snow off the car this morning before I could move it. At least I got my work out for this morning! cheesy
Off to church in a couple of hours...

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Good morning Everyone! I'm about to head out to the store to get last minute snacks for the superbowl later on. It's 33F outside and looks like it is clearing up some. Rain tomorrow sun tuesday. In other words one day of sun,one day of rain through the next week. oh and SNOW weds night into thursday!!!! yipppee! Have a great morning everyone!

Good Sunday morning, my Chirstmas friends!

It's a madhouse here, trying to get everyone ready for church. Can't stay long.

We're doing a Superbowl party tonight. I don't care about the game, but I love the commercials!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I'm glad to hear the pipes are fine with no damage. I've been thinking about you and those pipes.

Around here, she's MAD. Over 90 roofs have collapsed in Massachusetts from the snow and ice load. I'm so relieved our friend was able to come over today and push some of the snow off our roof so we don't have to worry about a collapse.
I agree the dangers snow can bring and that part isn't good at all. I hope everyone can stay safe through it all!
Just had a buddy from out of town pop in and he is going to spend the night. He just got married last summer so I am glad he came even if he did not call first.lol all single guys out there know what I mean.Once one of your buddies gets married you may as well write them off for at least a year! glad to see him again and his wife too!
I am glad you got to see your friend. By the way, single girls can write off their newlywed friends as well. Not just the guys. Hee hee.
Good evening,

It was a very, very busy day today I am exhausted. The snowstorm that was supposed to happen today turned out to be rain and freezing rain, so there is huge puddles everywhere, and I need to get back on the roof and get more snow off, we have a leak in our ceiling in the kitchen, we have an ice dam right now and last week when I shoveled it off the roof it ended the leak that was dripping into the basement, I am freaking out about this right now, especially with the news of all the roof collapses in my state. Now the newspaper is calling the storm headed this way for Thurs-Fri the "Beast in the East" it has a chance of being "HUGE" according to the paper, we have nearly 4 feet of snow on the ground right now where are we going to put it, and you cannot see pulling out of streets, parking lots because the banks are so tall. This is truly the winter of our discontent at this point.
There is still one house around here that has their tree up and lit in the window, it is still so beautiful.

Have a good night!
Stay safe with all this snow!

The schools here still exchange cards.

According to weather.com we have more snow coming in today!

We have a busy day today. Wayne and I are starting our first day as deacons serving communion and collecting offering. I feel a little "stage fright" walking up and down the aisle but it will be ok. cheesy

Then off to work I go.

I will be home just in time for the Super Bowl.

For those who are watching it, ENJOY!

Oh I agree! in fact I would venture to say that for some women they have to write off some friendships for good. I would not be like that of course :)..when I was married I was not like the type that wanted my wife home and kept tabs on who and where she was going but I have known plenty of insecure guys that were!cheesy

Good Sunday morning all!!! Getting ready for church and then take my sweety to work then pick her up a few hours later then watch the Super Bowl, and watch the Packers kick some Steeler butt.cheesy Well whoever wins, I think it will be a good game. Not looking forward to halftime though, not a fan of the Black Eye Peas. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday, if you're not a football fan, enjoy whatever makes you happy.cheesy

Good Morning, My Super Friends!

Yes, we will be hearing that word alot today.
Let's just hope the game is as "super" as it's billing.
I am a Packers fan from way back.
(And I mean WAAAAY back. Think Bart Starr and Vince Lombardi.)
But the Steelers are a fine, old-time traditional team too.
Be it a good game or not, it should at least be a "classic"!

OK, on to the daily count:
Days to the Season: 280
Days to Christmas Day: 322
UNDER a week now until the 25 percent Season Milestone!
(Really starting to close in on that one.)

Another sunny but cold one here in the capital city.
We started out in the mid-30's several hours ago and have only improved to 41 so far.
It is supposed to reach the mid 50's today but I'll believe it when I see it.

You have a Super Sunday, Everyone!
(Or should I say a Super Super Sunday?)

Good Morning Christmas Pals, Havent been on in the last few days , been in a funk of sorts and just feeling so blah and too down to do anything. I am going to force myself out of it and reconnect with life. What a better day to do it but on Super Bowl Sunday. Say, are we readyyyy forrr sommmeee footballl!! The mood here in western pa, 5o miles from Pittsburgh, is beyond electric. We are all looking forward to the prospect of "7" trophies . My "stiller" flag is flyin high outside !! Its going to be a great game, I saw on tv the other day that this game could end up being the most watched superbowl in superbowl history. I believe the commentator attributed that to the overall popularity of both teams nationwide.

Well I hope everyone is doing well, missed you all. will be back later !!
