I am making this tomorrow.....
MMMMMMMMMMMMm!!!!!!!!!!

That looks really yummy! (I wish I could have chocolate. :-?)

I make homemade almond, peanut, brazil and hazelnut butter all the time. I never buy the store bought anymore. Fresh is soooooo much better and so easy to make.

long day here, I think I will head off and read for awhile. Have a restful night everyone...unless you have to work, then you better stay awake and well, work!

Funny!!!!!

Good Day Chrsitmas friends, havent been around in the last few days. I have had a marvelous turn in events. I landed a long term sub job in the school district in which i LIVE ,THE SCHOOL IS LITERALLY DOWN THE STREET. It is really hard to get in this district and the teacher I am subbing for is going to retire in the fall ,I could honestly have a chance at getting a full time job in the district. This could not have come at a better time and in fact came at the utmost perfect time. Prior to this I didnt know how we were going to pay for everything in Feb. Believe me when I say it was divine intervention. It literally fell in my lap. I hope you all are doing well, and everytime my Christmas Carol Bell Clock chimes every hour I think of you all. Be back later :)

Congrats! That is how my wife started 9+ years ago at the same school system she is at now.

Good afternoon, Christmas friends. It stayed chilly somewhat today, but the skies are still sunny! I am so exhausted from this week, and especially today. Having 16 kids out of 30 with major attention issues and behavioral issues is mentally draining. One example: on Monday I gave out new mechanical pencils and new erasers. I reminded the kids to take care of these. Within seconds of giving them out, one kiddo had torn his eraser into several hundred pieces because he "didn't need it!" Of course a few minutes later he needed it so I handed him one of those small pieces. It went exponentially downhill after that. I had to suspend one kid today who just kept on being defiant all day. I guess he thought I wouldn't make him miss the Valentine party on Monday. Okay, enough whining! Bring on the Chardonnay!

Being the husband of a teacher, I have learned wine is a teachers best friend sometimes. cheesy

Tomorrow is my birthday but I work which is fine because I will be in good company with my co-workers and the owners. They are great people to celebrate with! Wayne and I will do something today to celebrate it. Not sure yet what I want to do but will figure out something!

I see that I got up way too early this morning. I woke up at 5 am and got up to make my fresh veggie juice. My dog kept running into the kitchen to see what I was doing then when I looked at him he would run back to bed. It was like he was looking at me saying, "come on mom, it's too early, get back to bed"! Ha ha! He knows my routine all too well.

Also, when I cook breakfast I always make the dogs a scrambled egg and they wait right by the kitchen for it. This morning they were laying on the couch and I kept telling them breakfast is ready. Again they seemed confused why I am cooking so early and just laid there. They finally came in there and ate. cheesy

Awwww.......your pups sound just PRECIOUS !!! My Clancy has been thrown off by my working midnights. When I was actually able to lay down and sleep last night Clancy came in and GLUED herself to me. Now, she and I weigh about the same so when she "gets in my skin" she is a bit heavy but I don't mind. I just held her and petted her and talked to her and eventually she went to sleep cheesy

Good morning fellow Christmas lovers! Going to have a "heatwave" in Illinois today...30 degrees! I'm going to get out and about and enjoy. Have a happy weekend.

Well, my wife got up earlier tham usual, and I slept later then usual, all the way until almost 8:00. I don't like sleeping too late, I feel like I am wasting the day that way.

We go from record low temps and ice and snow to getting into the 60s and maybe even the 70s this weekend, WOW. Got to get ready to head out, have a great day everyone.cheesy

Wow, Star! Winter certainly still has a grip on you!

Good Weekend Morning, Everyone!

Snow down there Crown? We had 4 inches Wednesday.....
Just a light dusting here, Twin.
It was nearly all gone by the end of the day.

But it's again cold where we have started off Saturday in the mid 20's.
The future looks warm and bright, however, with a predicted high of 56 today, 61 tomorrow and 67 for Monday!
That, plus a "0 Percent" chance of rain for the next 5 days.
Sweet!
(I'm looking forward to some nice walks.)

OK, the count, to kick off a great Weekend:
Days to the Season: 274
Days to Christmas Day: 316
And what better way to start off the Weekend in a great mood than to note we have reached our 2nd Milestone of Christmas Countdown 2001, the all important and much anticipated ONE QUARTER MARK to the Season!!
Wow! One down, 3 to go! Just Wow!!

And with that stimulating revelation, you can't help but have a Stupendously Sensational Saturday, can you?

Keep that Christmas Spirit, Friends!!

Tonight is the daddy/daughter ball and I've got a date with two of the greatest little girls to ever be born. They have an afternoon planned with mommy getting thier hair and nails done before donning thier new dresses for a night of dancing with daddy. Many of their friends will be there also so it will be one big party to them.

Funny that the wives/mommies can not just send their family away and wait for them to get home with lots of stories to tell. The club has a sitting area for them hang out and check in on the party. I just don't get that. If it was a mommy/son ball, the dads would be happy to drop them off then go hang out at a bar or back home and wait.
