Good Sunday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

We're walking out the door, heading to my mom's house for lunch. Then I think we'll head over to Savannah for some shopping. I don't even mind, because I think I can talk them into stopping at Bass Pro Shops...maybe even Krispy Kreme!

I work every Sunday and usually miss the NASCAR races. Now that I am home sick I will be watching the Daytona 500. This will the first race I have watched in a long time.

I sure hope Jeff Gordon wins!

Sounds like a good plan except for the Gordon comment. So glad to see you on the way to being healthy again. so far this winter I been lucky and not caught anything yet. Hope you enjoy the race that Tony is going to win.cheesy

Thanks for your well wishes. I missed out on a whole day of MMC! I don't remember ever feeling that sick! I (sorta) slept from 10 pm Friday night until 6:30 pm Saturday evening. Some of my night was spent laying next to the toilet. Yuck! I just couldn't keep anything down.

I felt so bad for Wayne because I am not the type to say "do this and do that" but I had no choice and had him running back and forth to get things for me and help me out all night Friday and all day Saturday. I was so weak that I felt like I was going to pass out if I stood up. I kept telling him "I'm sorry" and kept thanking him for helping me. He didn't understand why I kept apologizing but I just hate to keep running him around like I did.

Finally about 7:00 pm I did manage to eat a few crackers and some sip on some vegetable broth. This morning I got down a piece of toast.

I still feel very weak and it will take some time to get better.

Awww...CAH.....Don't feel bad. I am glad you are feeling better. I am sure Wayne didn't mind a bit. You sound like such a good "patient."

I feel sick as a dog today, it has progressively gotten worse all week, we have so many things to do today. We are going to see how much Uncle Sam owes us back for last year, then we have our belated Valentine's lunch. My wife's other grandmother is in the hospital now also with pneumonia and her lungs are filling with fluid and her heart is weakening, so she wants to run down to the hospital to see her since it may be her last chance, she put her self on the do not resuscitate list, I think she has wanted to "go home" for the last few years she misses her husband who died back in the 90's. I will not be able to go in unfortunately while I am sick though. My wife's grandmother in Canada is not much better either but she has been eating again.

Good idea, MC. I will too. I have worked with too many third graders and know that Carl could come up with lots of ideas of how to use glue and/or paste in ways not yet known to man!!!

We are back from making pasta. We also made angel hair pasta which comes out so cute. I can hardly wait to eat it after it dries. The guys are making the homemade Italian sausage on Wednesday. They are only making 65 pounds, but it will be so, so good. I know I will be spoiled from all that good homemade food. Have a great afternoon, y'all.

Yeah, I guess I need to root on someone else since Gordon and Burton (Snow-in-Texas driver) are both out.

baking cakes, making daffodils....
This cake will be for a fund raiser for the cancer society at a local high school.

Donate where you live, this needs to be beat. I have lost 2 friends in 4 days to cancer, I do not want to loose anymore. Just came back from the funeral of Carol.
 
I had just told Wayne that he probably doesn't know where Victory Lane is. Sure enough after the commercial he said just that!

You know he is in shock over this. Very happy indeed!
