Happy Monday, everyone! Snow on the ground - again - after 70 degrees last Friday! LOL! Jude turned 3 on Friday!! And his party was on Saturday. He had SO much fun.. .can't believe my little guy is already 3!

*Wishes and prayers for all my friends with illnesses and sick loved ones!*

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, I didn't get any Krispy Kreme doughnuts in Savannah, but I did get to go to Bass Pro Shops, then the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Not too shabby!

We went to Best Buy to pickup a computer for my father-in-law's store. He's finally entering the digital age! We're getting a cash register with a barcode scanner and internet access. That's a big deal for this store. We still use balance scales for produce.

Anyway, I'm hoping to move us forward a little, while still maintaining the small-town General Store feel. Rough-cut boards for interior walls, but free wifi for the moms who stop by after the nearby school bell rings.

We'll see! Have a great day, everyone! cheesy

Good Morning, Fresh New Week Friends.

Hey! We're already into the last full week of February.
Moving right along, aren't we?

So let's move right along to the count:
Days to the Season: 265
Days to Christmas Day: 307
One week from today, Folks -- the 300-Day Christmas Day Milestone will be here!
That's February 28th - the last day of the month. Mark your calendars!

It's a tad overcast here this AM but the weather service shows zero percent chance of rain today and only 10 percent tonight.
Our high is supposed to be a wonderfully Spring-like 76 this afternoon!
We stand at 53, currently.

Well, I hope everyone has a Stupendous Start to the week.....
And a Marvelous Monday to boot!

The feed store I work for still has not gone to modern technology. We hand write all of our receipts and use a calculator to add them up taxes and all. We have 2 old scales to weigh heavy items that are probably as old as the store, approximately 80 years old! People love the old store feel so I am not sure if we will ever use bar codes and scanners. It sure would make it easier though! cheesy

Just got home from our long day, my wife went and saw her grandmother, her grandmother told her it was her farewell day, she is at peace with the idea of dying at this point. It is sad but she is ready, she described it is always bright and warm there.

Just recieved word that my 81 year old aunt (Tante Betty) had a massive stroke this morning. She is not expected to live much longer.
My cousin (her daughter) says it is so very hard to watch her,but a comfort to know she is a Christian and is going home to be with the Lord .
Thankyou for all the thoughts and Prayers I know you will all have for the family.

Hey - I'm in here looking for sympathy! (everybody go Awwwwww!) I've done something. I don't know what but it really aches in areas I thought were healing nicely. Probably running before I can walk again; I don't do "sit down and do nothing" very well. My other half has come down with a sickness and dire rear bug but is still trying to help me out and won't let me do anything, but I still do which is leading to raised voices and now my dogs have started barfing all over the place which I can't bend down to clean up (or I get yelled at again) but picking it up is making HIM sick as well

*sigh*!!!!!!!!!

In the great scheme of things, this is so trivial, but I'm cranky, sore and tired, he's cranky, sick and tired and the dogs are just barfing!
Prayers are with you all!

Good morning, Christmas friends. Get well wishes to those who are fighting illness and comforting thoughts who are going through illness with loved ones. I slept in until 6:44 this morning on my first official day off for the week. Hubby and I will travel to Chico to do some shopping and eat at one of our favortite home-cooking restaurants. It's not Cracker Barrel, but it will do until we can get back east. I hope y'all have a great day.

BEWARE: A virus is going round called Housework. If you feel the need to start housework. Stop immediately. This virus wipes out your social life. If you should come in contact with housework go straight to the nearest coffee shop, bookstore or shopping mall and relax and try to enjoy the day as it is the only known antidote which works. Please forward this warning immediately to at least 6 friends. If you realize you do not have 6 friends you are already infected.

Thank you for that warning. I will avoid housework like the plague! I will go the mall as soon as possible.

Well, after the warmer weather last week, we have snow in the forecast once again. Guess the groundhog was wrong this year.

You just saved me a trip to the doctor. Now I know why I have been sick for a week and have had no social life due to it.
