Good morning friends, it's great to be back after my trip to Montreal. Had a great visit with my son and returned to find temps in the upper 60's here in Illinois. Wishing you all a safe and happy week.

Next year I am getting the flu shot! although I don't know if that would have helped me this year with laryngitis but next year I will not take any chances!

A flu shot is a good idea. Even if needles creep you out, do it. Better to be uncomfortable for a few minutes than flat on your back in bed for a couple weeks.

Tell Carl to get some rest and have some hot coffee and chicken soup. (I sense a new coffee flavor emerging ...) BTW, that nose-piece looks crocheted ... if he ever wants one in different colors, I could whip one up for him.

Well. I am not usually so cheery but today a great thing happened !!

I AM OFF PROBATION !!!! And after only A MONTH AND A HALF !!! WOOO-HOOO !!! Maybe my head has something in it other than feathers after all !!!! Had to share with you my family.

I hope all have a WONDERFUL day and I will let you know as I continue on with my "English"lessons LOL !!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It's another overcast day here in northern California. Dinner is in the crockpot: whole kernal corn, carrots, mushrooms, onions, barley, stew beef, and beef shank. I can hardly wait for dinner. Right now I don't feel great, sort of run down. Tomorrow I will start physical therapy. I will be so glad to start feeling better. What a whiner I am!! I hope everyone has a great day!

I am getting up at 5 am and hitting the road I want to be home in good ole South GA by tuesday!

I remember when I used to make the trip from PA to south GA in one day! Man I don't know if I could do that again! Hope you're feeling better and safe travels!

It is going to be in the low 80's the next 10 days. rain possible next weekend but we need it.it has been a very dry march. the lows in the morning are going to be in the mid 50's. Be careful on your trip and have fun too...and if you stop in valdosta go to the mellow mushroom and ask for Neal...I will buy you a beer if I am there!:

I will take low 80's, it's better than 40's or 50's!!! Which weekend will be rainy...last weekend of March or first weekend of April? Because if it's the latter, I will be leaving and won't mind.

The Mellow Mushroom in Remerton, right? Do you work there or are you just a regular they know by name?

You are not kidding.lol I pass those things all the time when I am going to/from work...what's worse and I am not kidding at all; is some people around here even drive those little scooters for the disabled...on the friggin highways!! so dangerous!!

OMG Travis and I saw a lady on a Hover-round (cue that crazy commercial jingle!) go on the highway yesterday on our way to the mall!!! We were laughing like crazy, then realized that holy crap, she could really get hurt. Plus, isn't that illegal to take a wheelchair thing like that on the highway?!

After getting up at 4:30am to do cash office again, I am finally home from work! I've been productive though...made a car inspection appointment, a vet appointment for Sangria (my cat), and am about to leave for a manicure. Then it's off to my parents' house to pick up a few things for Florida and watch the Dancing with the Stars premiere!

Now I am getting ready to start my spring cleaning. My goal for today is take down all of the curtains in the apartment and wash them. Then I am going to take down all of the blinds and give them a good scrubbing.

Then when you are done with that you can come to my house and start cleaning! Yay! It will be great fun! I will turn up some Christmas music so it will keep you motivated. :wink:

I really do need to get started on cleaning. I have the grandkids all day then when they leave I am too tired to do anything. I try to get things done while they are here but not much gets done! lol
