This is not meant to be preaching in any way, just a suggestion if you are trying to kick the sugar/soda habit. cheesy For those who still each sugary stuff and feel great, I am envious! I had to give it up for health reasons.
I am right there with you CAH,after I eat/drink anything with sugars I feel like crud...that and additives that are in alot of junk foods too. I do feel so much better eating healthy and that is not the hard part for me,,,its just these pesky soft drinks..

Hello all! Hope everyone is having a good day. It's kind of cold outside today, I'm really ready for the warm weather to return, I have a lot of work to get done inside and outside. Have a great week!

I guess I am lucky that I never much cared for soda's and rarely drank them. I can thank my mom for never keeping them around the house. I did the same with my kids, I only bought soda's for special occasions, birthdays, Christmas, etc. I actually got teased (not in a bad way) as a child for always drinking water. Kids thought I was weird for not wanting soda. I am glad I still love water! My weakness was CHOCOLATE! I loved that stuff!

I hear soda can be addictive and a hard habit to break. Wayne gave up soda cold turkey a few months ago and don't miss it. Good luck to you and hope you can kick the habit! cheesy

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is chilly and partly sunny here in northern California. Thank goodness we don't have the harsh winds we have had for the past week. I will be off to physical therapy in a few minutes but wanted to stop by and say hi. Visiting the forums and posting at least once a day was a goal I set for myself this year. On a sad note, I just learned that my favorite aunt, the one I was named after died. She never had any children, so I was one of her favorites. She lived a good life and left this world at 85 years of age.
Sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you.

Hello friends!

It is not even 70F here in Gainesville FL, rainy and cloudy...it's supposed to be this way all week til Friday, which I'm still upset about since I can't get a tan and make all my PA friends jealous. :(

There isn't much else to report, we're about to leave for the mall and then go over toward the Jacksonville area to visit Megan's family. Tomorrow is the big dress shopping day and I'm very excited for her (and for me to hopefully find a nice, inexpensive maid of honor dress)!

Hope everyone is well!

cheesy
It's spring and the ducklings will be hatching. Take caution!

My kids ages 9 & 4 don't drink soda either. Last year our oldest asked if she could try some soda so we let her but she did not like it. It was not the taste but the carbination that she did not like. They drink milk, water and sometimes juice. We go through roughly 4 - 5 gallons of milk a week.
When ever our kids go to friends birthday parties, we send bottle water along with them because most times these parties only serve soda. We have had parents of others kids in attendance ask us how we got them NOT to drink soda.. simple.. we don't offer soda to kids in our house.

Love this!

And with this post, Made582 is poster #7,000. I think your prize, Made, will be TWO wrappers from Hershey Kisses. Congratulations on your major award!

What color? Standard silver, Christmas colors, or Easter colors??

Tuesday is the longest day of the week sometimes ...

Good morning,

The stressful 2 hours of getting the kids ready for school and daycare, they have a way of making everything get down to the last possible second. I am watching The Real Story of Christmas, the History Channel's documentary, it made me feel the warmness of Christmas when I saw the first few scenes and the beautiful music, I really need to get it on DVD, I have it saved on the DVR for now. Not much planned for myself, a little more cleaning to get done, I was going to run to the thrift store to see what they have, but I just don't want to now.
Anyone want a cat, I have one that is driving me nuts this morning. cheesy He is very loving, but sharp as a spoon.. cheesy

Have a great day!

I would take him !!!!!! Smokey needs a brother !

Eating lunch right now...I have been craving a pepsi all morning and I just gave in and drank one and feel guilty now. I have total OCD when it comes to my food intake and I accept that. I have tried the diet pepsi and would rather just drink flavored water. everyone I talk too says I would eventually get use to diet soda's but I never can get past the first drink of it. It's the sugar I crave I guess. I just checked the weather and we are getting 2inches of rain tommorrow! this should make for a fun day at work(dripping with sarcasm)! I always respect the guys that work at huge airport control towers but especially in tough wx conditions! almost half way to 5! have a good day folks!

I am really compulsive about food !! Food is a constant battle for me !!

that´s interessting....over here in Germany...most of the water we drink is with carbination....we also have still water....but most people drink sparkling water

Good afternoon! I have made it here 2 days in a row! I'm on a roll! :)

It has been 20 - 24 degrees every morning here for the last 5 days. If I'm not mistaken, it is almost April & that is rediculous for it to be that cold!!! :( Lol! And the next 3 mornings are still supposed to be in the 20's too!! Its just not right! ;)

Pepsi is my favorite too! I try not to drink it too much, but I definately could! I love the Pepsi Throwbacks!

And MerryCarey I agree... Tuesdays seem to be a really long day sometimes!!! Today is one of them! Can't wait to go home & put on sweats!

gabulldawg - my hubby's Grandpa always said "plant potatoes on Good Friday for a good crop" - An old Farmers tale! (not saying that there isn't any truth to it!)

Hope you are all having a great day!

The stores here carry sparlkling water too, flavored and unflavored but it is not as popular as soda or regular water.
