That sounds fun for the kids, my boys are afraid of mascots and such, so it probably wouldn't be to fun if Wally the Green Monster showed up for them. cheesy

I didn't get to go this morning after all, so I asked Kaylin about it this afternoon. Her comment, " The Fredbird almost tried to eat me and I was scared so I closed my eyes!!!!!"

Perhaps it wasn't the best idea in the end. You called it LOL

Hey all - Hope everyone has had a great day at the Pines! I thought I'd stop in before bed real quick and get in on the 3 for 1 special on fired twinkies! Woo Hoo!

Ended up getting in a full day at work, which is great for the paycheck, but I'm bummed I missed the party at my DD's daycare. Sometimes being a working mom stinks the big one when I start comparing myself to the SAHM that I know. But I am very thankful to have my job and I know that I do it to make DD's life better!

The sun did finally come out today and it warmed up a bit. Please oh please let it stick this time!!! This constant up and down of temps is bad for the soul AND my allergies! Good luck to those of you that are forcasting snow over the next couple of days. Stay warm and safe - and most importantly - don't send that snow back to the midwest!!!!

~Laney

PS - Christmasstar!!! Good luck on your test! I know you'll do great :)

Oh man! I should have made 1 more post tonight and then I could have been #7200! Then I could have gotten one of those amazing awards! Well, I guess I have 99 more posts till my next opportunity :)

Both of those dresses are divine!!! Has she tried to find the bride's dress elsewhere? Love the color of your dress.

We actually found a website with the exact same dress and it costs less than half of the price the salon quoted! She is over the moon and ordering it tomorrow!! I'm so happy for her, I'm glad this day turned around! As for the bridesmaid dress...we can't seem to find that anywhere online, so we will actually end up spending more on our dresses than she is on hers! =/ But it's all worth it because I love the dress and color! :)

Goodnight everyone, sweet dreams!

good morning my friends. the weather is not so bright today...but that doesn´t matter....spring is in the air which gives me lots of beautiful days to think about christmas.

watching Little House on the Prairie with Kandice....it seems like Nelly Oleson got married to the son a pig-farmer...but I guess it will be annulled....because I remember her getting married to another later on

Good morning everyone! last day of march! on to the good 2 months of spring in the south..My allergies should be clearing up now after everything has bloomed out.April and may are usually dry mild months here before summer heat kicks in. Today it is mildish 58F with rain/fog but the weekend is suppose to be beautiful! highs in the upper 70's and lows in the upper 40's perfect spring weather! have a good day everyone!

Happy opening day everyone! I'm excited to watch my beloved Detroit Tigers take on the Yankees today.

Good Morning, My Fellow Downhill Friends.
(Downhill slope to the Weekend, that is!)

Does almond milk taste like regular milk?
I have seen it for sale at my store and have always wondered about it.
Oh no, 365! Shhhh!!
(Remember, Carl monitors this board carefully.)

Speaking of monitoring, let's monitor the count, shall we?
Days to the Season: 227
Days to Christmas Day: 269
Under 4 weeks now to BOTH of our next Milestones - the 1/3 Christmas Day mark and the 200-day Season Window. They will be Milestones #6 and #7 on our chart.
Moving, Moving, Moving!

Chilly again here this morning but not as bad as yesterday.
We stand at 45 under cloudy skies with the threat of rain continuing for the next few days.

OK, Folks! Tomorrow is Weekend Eve!!
Put that thought in your Christmas pipe and smoke up some wreaths.....while you have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's still overcast and rainy here today, but it's supposed to be nice for the weekend. I'm looking forward to that!

My son signed up for track at school this year, and he has a track meet scheduled for this afternoon in nearby Statesboro. I feel like they will probably cancel it due to weather, but I still have to plan to be off work this afternoon, just in case.

If they do cancel the meet, I can take my golf cart to the shop for some repairs. The heck with these rising gas prices. Fore!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Is anyone going to see Hop? My 4 year old great nephew is thrilled about it and I think I am gonna join 'em. Easter isn't one of my favorites but I think it looks kinda interesting.

Today is one of my favorite holidays! Cardinals Opening Day!!!! I'm off work and DD is having a playdate with her cousin - look who may be free to head down to some of the rallies?!?!?! This should be an interesting season with Albert being free agent. I love opening day, though! Hope springs eternal at Busch Stadium today - anything is possible and everyone has hopes for the pennant today (well, maybe not the Pirates?). Here's to a great season and the boys of summer!

The weather is supposed to be sunny and in the low 60's today! Still a little chilly at the moment, but I'm looking forward to a glimpse of warmth again.

My nieces and nephews have been asking to have a sleepover soon. I need to start thinking, though, because they will expect there to be cooking making and the like. I apparently set the bar high the first time I had my niece over to bake, and now she thinks that will always be the case LOL. I'm thinking about doing rice krispie treat eggs with them and something else. Anybody have an suggestions?

Alright, everyone enjoy the day! Go Cardinals!!!!!

Good luck!
Good evening, everyone. It is so nice that we still have the doors and windows open at almost 7 p.m.

Do any of you guys know ANYONE who is a special kind of stupid? Well, the powers that be at my school has decided that teachers have to change classrooms. Fourth graders will be in the 100 wing, 3rd graders in the 200 wing, 2nd graders in the 300 wing, and 1st graders in the 400 wing. This means that the MAJORITY of teachers has to change classrooms this summer!! What is so (may I use the word?) stupid is that the sinks and water fountains in the 100 and 200 wings are shorter than the other ones because they were built for the younger kiddos!!!!! So those of us with bigger kids will have little sinks and water fountains while those of the smaller will have taller sinks and water fountains!!! In addition, the district will pay the maintenance people to move us, but teachers must help with no pay!!! Dontja just love politics??
Yikes! A lot of work ahead.
Does almond milk taste like regular milk?

It doesn't taste JUST like milk but has a creamy consistency like milk. It is a lot more healthier than milk and is 0% cholesterol. I buy the unsweetened kind. The vanilla and chocolate varieties are yummy! They do have sugar in them but are very tasty. My grandkids love it. You should try it out sometime.

I am allergic to dairy so I buy this. There are other non-dairy milks, rice, soy, hemp, coconut and I am sure there are others but I can't think of right now. Almond is my very favorite out of all I have tried so far.

Good morning, Christmas Friends. I hope your day is all that you wish for and then some!!!

Good luck, Christmasstar - I know you will do great!!

gabulldawg, sounds like gorgeous weather! I read in an earlier post that you were going to plant a garden - any tips you can pass along? My garden didn't do well last year.

I need to start working - lots to do and plans at one. My beloved Tigers are playing the Yankees today - hope the game will come in on the radio. I live in a technological dead zone - can't even get DSL out here! GO TIGERS!!!!!!!

And Laney, it was a wonderful prize, too!! Good luck next time!

Oh man! I should have made 1 more post tonight and then I could have been #7200! Then I could have gotten one of those amazing awards! Well, I guess I have 99 more posts till my next opportunity :)

Our family's top 4 days of the year;

1. Christmas - celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ
2. Easter - celebrate the atoning death, burial, and resurrection Jesus Christ
3. Thanksgiving
4. Major League Baseball opening day! We would personally rather watch an MLB spring training game than the Super Bowl.

Maybe you could hire Carl to help. I bet he would be a great caterer and entertainer!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is sunny today and is supposed to reach 87 degrees here in northern California. We slept with two windows open last night. I have several Student Study Team meetings this week, so I have late days through Friday. Then I have several in mid-April. I hope everyone has a great day. Wow! To think we are already over 7,200 posts! That's a great achievement!
