Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good first day of April everyone! so this is the day you have to be on guard all freaking day worried about getting punked...it stinks...cause every year I end up getting punked!! It is almost like not wearing green on St patty's day and getting pinched in the 3rd grade. I just wish there was no April fools day. little things are okay,but major things like.."you're fired" or "your dog got run over" are a little over the line I think. I am jsut getting to work,and already packed for my beach weekend trip. I will talk to you good folks sunday night or monday have a great friday and great and safe weekend!!!

I had a dream last night that convinced me to collect snowmen instead of Santa's. So I just loaded up all of my Santa's to drop off at goodwill on my way to my sisters house.

I'm off on a field trip with my daughter this morning. We're going to the Mighty 8th Airforce Museum in Savannah. I've been there before and it's great!, so I volunteered to go on this one. I mihgt stop at Bass Pro Shops afterward, too. cheesy

Good morning all... WhenI left my house this morning it was raining but while I was on my way into work it switched over to snow!!! They were calling for possible snow showers but nothing more then that. The pretty snowflakes reminded me of Christmas....It would have been a nice morning to stay home....make some gingerbread cake... light a Christmassy candle and listen to Christmas music while watching the snowflakes fall but alas it's a work day. Doubt we will see any more snowflakes until Nove/Dec. Suppose to get into the 70s next week. Time is getting close to uncovering the grill and give it a good cleaning before firing it back up.

A couple inches of wet, slushy snow this morning, and it's still falling. On the drive to work, I put in a CD I made of 90+-year-old Christmas and winter records. It was nice, except for heavy, wet clods of snow bombing my car roof from the tree branches. We're so ready for spring here.

I am still waiting for my dust bunnies to arrive. cheesy

So as an. April Fools joke our local radio station is playing nothing but Christmas music, I'm totally loving it! Funny thing is that when this station goes to their all Christmas format around the holiday season, they have their best ratings of the year ... so who is the joke on?? I also went and got another suitcase from Kohl's...something I had been thinking about for a while and then realized I needed since I loaded up on cans of boiled peanuts, plus the clothes I bought today, and I can't fit that into any of my carry-on bags or the suitcase I already bought. Sigh. It's a...very colorful suitcase, you could say. =p

I love boiled peanuts! It's not something you can find here in Texas very often. :-?

Had a horrible day yesterday my partner rang me at 5.45am to tell me he had hit a concrete block that had been dropped in the middle of the road! It was raining really bad so he didnt see it till the last minute, luckily he didnt hit it head on, it hit the side of the car ripping all the bumper off! So glad he wasnt hurt and luckily, and this really shocked us, there is no damage to the engine/radiator/wheel or anything, we just need a new bumper and to get the wheels tracked.

I am glad he is ok!

I am off to babysit my 2 nieces. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gon be leaving for my moms in a minute...then at 5pm we are going down to the hockey pitch (field hockey)....the sport I did and Kandice is playing too ......to watch Bundesliga teams play each other in a tournment. I want to show Kandice what real hockey looks like. I think we gon have a bratwurst or a steak there and a few drinks...so it should be a nice evening.

You are right. April Fools is great for light humor but some people can take it too far and it is not funny at all! I have never had anything cruel done to me but have heard stories.

That sounds like fun! I am assuming there is aircraft there? I love military aircraft. Not sure I like what they have to do during war but love the power and looks of them. We are planning a trip in the fall to go to Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and to Dayton Ohio, Air Museum which is the largest one in the world. I am SO EXCITED! I have always wanted to go there. My dad got me hooked on this stuff over 20 years ago.

All this talk of baseball. Although I don't follow the sport, I stick with my home team the Texas Rangers. I have gone to a few of their games and watched a little last year when they made the World Series.
