Good morning, Christmas Family !!


I am actually getting ready to work a bit today even though I am off. Due to the multiple internet outages, I MUST get more lines or we will be in trouble. Thank GOD in his heaven for this job !!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED The wedding yesterday. I just hope they REALLY love one another and can withstand all the crazy media.

I seriously wish all of us on MMC could meet someday at some sort of MMC convention !!

I want to give you ALL big ((((((HUGS))))))) in person and sit down and visit with you. My vision is all of us kind of in a comfortabe room with a cup of coffee or whatever chatting !!!! It would be AMAZING !!!!! You all have no idea what you mean to me. Yes, I know guys, you hate that girlie mushy emotion stuff but I mean it......there are times I have been at the end of my rope litterally considering choices that ........well lets just say those choices would have had dire consequences ........but because of all of you .......and God of course, I persevered and I am still here with my crazy Canine rants !!

good morning everyone! I got up to let my dogs out just now and it's so nice outside at 53F. I am wondering if this will be the last morning we get down in the 50's. Last year it was may 10th we got down to 55F then from there on out till late sept. it was lows in the high 60's to upper 70's. So we might have another cool morning or 2 left. yesterday I read an interesting article from Joe bastardi a 20 year vet. met. who always makes long term forecasts and he is saying this summer will not be as hot as last summer,so I am hoping it's true.
We are in the last day of April in this month has really gone by fast. Faster than any other one so far this year to me at least. Glad we are in the 100's until the season starts...Today I may just sneak back to bed until 9 or so then I need to do some yard work then I have a baseball game @2! Well, I am blessed to be here! Tornadoes all around us on Wednesday night. Trees & power lines down all down our road. DH works for the electric co-op & got home at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, having to leave his truck at the end of the road & walk home in the dark. I don't know if he even had a flashlight with him, since I haven't talked to him much since then. He woke up at 7:30 a.m. and went back to work until late last night. DD & I were in bed at 10 p.m. and he still wasn't home. He went back in today & I don't know when we'll see him again! We were out of power for almost 24 hours. There are still people without power & might be out for days still.

SIL just texted me that her former house was blown away in the tornado. The entire subdivision, save two houses, is gone! People have found debris from Alabama & Georgia in their yards.

It was just me & DD, camping out in the basement bathroom. DD said she was scared of the storm. I asked her who protects us, and after thinking of Daddy & Mommy, she remembered that Jesus takes care of Mommy & Daddy too. We had just discussed that praying was talking to Jesus just like talking to anyone else. She laid down between the tub & toilet & said, "Jesus, please protect us. Amen." Then she fell asleep and snored through the storm!

We have lots of tree limbs & leaves in our yard & driveway, but otherwise, we escaped any harm to life or property. I have never felt more blessed than I do now.

Good evening,

I am just going through the many posts that were made today, getting ready to go to bed, I am preparing for a very bad day at work tomorrow, I am all by myself, last year at this time we had 6 people on Saturdays, but I have to hold down the fort by my lonesome. I will be exhausted tomorrow night, but at least when I get home the Bruins will be on. I am glad everyone enjoyed the wedding, that is all it seems everyone was talking about today.

yesterday I read an interesting article from Joe bastardi a 20 year vet. met. who always makes long term forecasts and he is saying this summer will not be as hot as last summer,so I am hoping it's true.

I hope that is true as well! I just can't take the summers here!

Another member, primchristmas (more active at ChristmasTalk), lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She hasn't been on CT since Wednesday nor has she posted on FaceBook. Hopefully she is just without power.

Ah! A long-anticipated day of rest.

And what better time to sit back and relax with the morning paper and a piping hot cup of count:

The half-way Milestone to Christmas Season 2011 arrives 2 weeks from tomorrow.
Now, that hot cup of count sure was delicious, wasn't it?
(Admit it -- that was alot better than cough-ee.)

Comfortable this morning where we stand at 61 degrees under calm, sunny skies on the way again up to the mid 70's.
Yesterday was pleasant with a similar high and still low humidity.
(My father and I had a nice walk with the dog.)

Moving Day!!
For my daughter that is. Now I will be able to see my living room again as all her stuff has been collecting here for a few weeks waiting to be moved into her new home.
Her brother is busy measuring her old room to see where he will put his stuff and so happy to have a bigger room. Right now he is helping her bring the last of her things down so he can get started moving in. Do you think he will miss her? cheesy

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Hope you all had a nice Easter. The weather here has been windy and chilly. Woke up to a "skiff" of snow on my walkway today. Will spring ever arrive?! Other than that staying busy with work and life in general. My d/d has a piano recital on Monday...can't wait! She has been practicing really hard for it. She will be doing a solo piece and a duet with a friend. School will be out soon for the kids here (the end of May). She has a field trip to the Museum of the Rockies next week and I plan come along to chaperone. Should be a good time!

I woke to find a layer of frost on everything. Just noticed the tree in front of my house is starting to open up, looks great! Going up to 15c today, great for moving!!

OMG! DUH! I really need to start drinking coffee again! It stuck in my mind that this tragedy hit on the 27th so I was relieved to see the "28th" on her activity. Just paid no attention to the month. Thanks for the clarification RJD! cheesy
