Christmas Countdown - 2011

Welcome to Monday all! Its a holiday here in Canada but I don't get those off in my line of work. My Wife and Son are home today though! We are loving our new doors and windows. So nice to have screens in! When we moved in most of the screens were missing so we couldn't open them. We went to the bank on the weekend. Opened an account for William and we are putting money in it every month for his education. Also we reassessed out mortgage! Rates went down so we are paying about 100 dollars less. Nice! We were at Canadian tire again and I still saw those Christmas popcorn cans (the pic I posted before). Looks like nobody bought them yet! Oh and most excellent news! (Wayne's World anyone? hah) My Sister had her baby yesterday! Madison Rose. So I'm an Uncle! We are going to go down this weekend to see the baby and visit. Well back to work I go. Pretty dead today! Good early evening, everyone. My dentist appointment was at 2:30 today and I got out at 4:51!!! For some reason, that root canal did me in. Then the novocaine wore off and heaven help me! Whoa, what pain! Thank goodness the doctor wrote a prescription for pain medication! When I got to school today, the kids told me about the bad thunderstorm we had last night with hail, thunder, and lightning. I had no clue!!! I slept through it all! I am going to get ready for dinner. I told hubby that I am only going to have some soup. I am hungry, but don't want to cause any more pain. My crown won't be ready for another week or two. I hope everyone's been having a good Monday! I got off an hour early because I thought Travis and I would be hanging out with my "twin" and our "niece", but she called and cancelled due to not feeling well. Instead, we had lunch at Panera, then went and picked out a tomato plant and some flowers. Tomorrow we are doing more of the same, since we are pretty much replacing all of the flowers he planted last year. He's very plant conscious and I have a brown thumb, so I just let him pick everything, lol. It works better that way. cheesy

We also opened up the grill for the first time this season! Had yummy steaks. Then we watched Dancing with the Stars and I won't spoil it...but I know who I want to win!!! =D Have a good night, everyone!

Wintry mix for Texas in May? Major typo on the Weather Channel! The temps are suppose to be as high as 90 degrees with lows of mid 70's all week.


Right now it's storming and in the mid 70's. The Weather Channel on tv just gave our local weather and it read "wintry mix" for our area. Ha ha! I wish!

Maybe the end of the world is a few days late?

Well Im home from Florida... I have a lot to catch up here at MMC =0). Vacation was nice but the Boys and I got sick the last few days.. and Im still fighting this cold..our flight was delayed coming home so that part wasnt fun either. Feels good to be home..now give me a few weeks of summer and lets head into the Fall and our favorite time of the year cheesy

Whoa, what pain! Thank goodness the doctor wrote a prescription for pain medication! When I got to school today, the kids told me about the bad thunderstorm we had last night with hail, thunder, and lightning. I had no clue!!! I slept through it all! I am going to get ready for dinner. I told hubby that I am only going to have some soup. I am hungry, but don't want to cause any more pain. My crown won't be ready for another week or two. Oh...I'm sorry you couldn't enjoy it outside - but am happy you had a great visit! The weather has been funny all day, hasn't it? Rain one minute - sun the next...all day. I'm just happy we got some sun so that we could spend some time outside.

Another rainy chilly day here, had to close all the windows again. Today was the slowest moving day, I kept thinking it was later than it was all day. My heel has been in so much pain the last few days, I will need to get it checked out very soon. SCORE! Bruins! Watching the Bruins right now they just scored to take the lead. A day off tomorrow, it is supposed to be up to 82 degrees but rainy so it will be muggy. Blah!

Hope everyone's day was as good as mine was! cheesy

I got my hair cut probably a good 10-11 inches! It's just past my shoulders now and I love it for summer! I went to Target hoping to find a couple Christmas presents for my younger brother, but only bought myself some shorts and leggings. I'm afraid I am either gonna buy stuff people don't like or stuff they will have already bought themselves come Christmastime.

And now I am exhausted!

Just thought id have a quick 5mins on here before i take my eldest 2 daughters to school, my youngest is currently demolishing my living room, seriously she has got every toy out of the box!

We have had strong winds here the past couple of days, so glad we replaced the fence panels with stronger ones a couple of months ago or i think the would have all been blown out!!

Us too! We are in Lancashire and the weather yesterday was soooo bad, winds around 70mph, everything blowing around the garnd, pots over, rain beating down.

That's another tree down - a hedge kind of broke the fall so the house wasn't hit (NOT mine). Neighbour's trampoline has ended up in another neighbour's garden and the roof has blown partially off another house

Not usual May weather, thank goodness. Off to take the dogs out for another fly now; don't like this :-?
