Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I worked all day long on the deck yesterday, from 8 am to 8 pm. Sunburned again, but we got a lot done. And we still ahve a long way to go. I think if we were actual carpenters, we'd be done by now, but it's interesting to learn. It was almost a 100 degrees yesterday, and the humidity was high, so when we quit at 8, I jumped in and floated for an hour. Nice!

Friday night a storm blew up but then faded away. my mom said she got a lot of rain and hail, but not us.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning, each and all.

Half through the Weekend and rapidly approaching half way to Christmas, which date falls later this very month.

Let's check on the count:
Days to the Season: 161
Days to Christmas Day: 203
UNDER half a week away from the 200-day Christmas Day Window!
So -- Close!

Sunny, calm and wonderful here this morning where we stand at 77 nicely walkable degrees, bound for a warmish 92 by this afternoon and a 50/50 chance of rain.

OK. Another travel alert.

And it comes at a bad time because I really wanted to attend Carl's special open house this Wednesday at the 'Pines.
I know the plans. In light of it being the 200-day Window to Christmas, Carl has planned to fully open ALL the windows at the 'Pines (yes, the Shispering Pines has real, openable windows!) and place little "Double-100's" signs on the lawn outside.
Not only that, but Fired Twinklings are being debued!
Will have to get a report from attendees when I return.

We will be leaving Tuesday morning (for the coast, to make final cottage preparations for our summer renters) and plan to return late Friday.
Thus, a countdown volunteer will be needed for 3 mornings, Wednesday through Friday.
Anyone?

You have a Super Sunday, Folks!

Good morning,

Just catching up on the posts before leaving for a quick grocery shopping to replace all of the food that spoiled in the fridge and freezer, we have been eating at friends and/or restaurants since Wednesday, now we finally have time to go for ourselves. It is really frustrating up here there are so many gawkers driving through our town to see the destruction, it took me 45 minutes to drive 1.5 miles Friday. I understand it's human nature to be curious but when the out of state license plates outnumber the local ones it is getting out of hand. We were one of the many lucky ones, but the people in the most devastated areas must feel like caged animals with all the people watching them all the time. I watched the game last night and I just couldn't feel like I could get emotionally involved I have been waiting for so many years to see the Bruins have a chance for a shot at the Cup, and it feels like it couldn't matter if they win or lose. Maybe that will change in a few days right now it just seems so unimportant to me. Congrats Vancouver on their second win in the series. Enough of my downer ranting. Sorry for being this way.

Have a good day.

Good morning, Christmas friends. We had a little bit of sunshine earlier this morning, but now it is cloudy and semi-dark. The heat still comes on in the house, and it is June 4 already! I am going to spend some time working in the kitchen, and then I am going to do at least one scrapbook project. Hope y'all have a great day!

Don't apologize ... After going through what you've been through, you're certainly entitled to feel down. The pain and fear in your system don't just evaporate---you're still processing what happened, and there's no shame in sharing what you're feeling. Spider Robinson wrote, "Shared pain is lessened, shared joy is increased." That's something I see here 'most every day, and we're all blessed to be a part of that.

Not only that, but Fired Twinklings are being debued!

I'm excited about this!

Got home from the store, went and visited another friend who lost their house. It is amazing how positive they are, they are excited about looking for a new home and they are already planning a HUGE party once they get settled. They have complete strangers helping them get the trees off their house, once again people helping people out out of the goodness of their heart.

I can't help but feel more secure when the fridge and freezer are full of food

Enjoy your day!

I finally went to the MD and I strained several muscles in my back from all the coughing. No wonder it hurts so badly! He phoned in a few prescriptions, so I will pick them up early tomorrow! Good night, Christmas friends!

Oh Seawaters. You poor thing. I feel so for you and I hope you will feel better soon.

Hey guys!! I am leaving out in the morning to Bosnia.. I just wanted to pop in and tell you hello! and I love you all and peace out!!I will be back in early October!

Thank you 'dawg. We will all miss you so much. We will keep the home fires burning for you. Stay safe and come back to us soon xo

You have every right to feel the way you do - no apologies necessary. We are a family, remember ?? Family doesn't turn away from family, especially Christmas family xo Hope everything gets back to normal quickly for all in your town and state xo

What a great attitude your friend has. I hope all turns out well!

wow, we are really doing well with the post counts aren't we? i predict we'll be at 20,000 before the christmas season in november starts.

Good evening!

I didn't get a thing planted - the mosquitoes were feasting on me and I was lucky to get the trash out to the bins! Ended up working all day - got a lot accomplished. Again, I am beat - going to make supper and do dishes and then read until I fall asleep.

Have a great evening!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Evening Everyone!!!!!! It has been another humid day here in central Indy and they are predicting more of the same for the rest of the week. I didn't sleep all the well last night so I ended up falling asleep while trying to watch the nascar race. I woke to find the air conditioner in my apartment blowing air that was warmer than the air outside. It looks like I will be calling maintenance in the morning. This evening I plan on kicking back and watching some tv. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

You aren't being a downer! I can't imagine what you all have been through, even though my area of St. Louis is only 6 or 7 weeks out from having been hit by tornado. A friend of mine's house was destroyed and while she is finally picking up the pieces of her life, each day, she realizes something else is missing. One day it is realizing she can't vacuum her rental house bc her vacuum was destroyed and another day it is realizing that she was only able to salvage 4 or 5 of her wedding pictures. Not to mention the extreme fear every time a storm of any magnitude comes through.

Life will eventually turn back to a new normal. Maybe never the same, but a new normal. In the mean time, there will be frustrating times and you can always come here to get those off of your chest. You, your aunt, your family, friends and community are constantly in my prayers.

I've had a nice day today so far! It was really hot for the majority of the day, but right now I'm sitting outside, watching Kaylin play and Brendan is changing the oil in my car. Its quite nice here in the shade of the trees! I do think that the mosquitos are getting quite a feast off of me, though!

When we get done out here, I think I'm going to settle in and watch a movie. I'm going to check my On Demand to see if there is any Christmas movies playing for free, otherwise it will probably be Polar Express or Love Actually. Johnor's post about Santa has me relating all too well to that boy in the Polar Express, so maybe I'll watch that to reaffirm my ongoing belief in Santa. We always need to be reminded that Christmas is as magical as we believe.

Anyways, hope you all have a great night!

Good evening, Christmas family

Tonight is my Monday in about an hour and a half. I am going to take a short snooze on the couch with my Wishbone in my arms.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Have a great evening, Christmas family xo
