Hi Xmas friends! Long time no see.
Took me 3 hours but I finally caught up on all the posts from the last two weeks. Things have been really crazy lately!
First off, my dad is officially back to work as of today, and has resumed driving, golfing, and doing things around the house. As my mom said, he is so happy to not have to mandatorily be lazy! lol He is not the type to sit still so I'm sure he's over the moon right now.
Last Thursday thru Sunday, Travis, his sister and brother-in-law and I went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. For those that don't know, CP is the highest rated amusement park in the world, and for GOOD REASON. We had the best time riding the best roller coasters I have ever been on. We stayed in a hotel room that was 500 feet from the park entrance and had more restaurants than we could choose from, plus the view from our room WAS the park, so yeah...amazing is the only word that can do the whole experience justice. The ONLY thing I would take back was the violent stomach illness I inexplicably came down with on Saturday (had to've been food poisoning) that slightly derailed plans that day (I skipped dinner with everyone but went back into the park at night to ride Millenium Force twice in a row...best decision ever!). Unfortunately I didn't feel 100% better until Tuesday...but at least I'm better now!
Also, Travis and I have found yet another possible engagement ring...this always seems to happen when we go back to a store to look at one we've already picked out. =p (Oops...hehe) Too bad it's about $1K over the price I want him to be spending on a ring for me!! (We'd both rather spend $$$ on an awesome honeymoon rather than jewelry!)
BTW, for anyone interested, here is the link to the ring set: http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/store...01|10001|-1|940201900|15051|15051.21826.22081
and a front row POV of my new most favorite roller coaster ever, Millenium Force: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbXPhOFRxTc (yes, that's a 310 ft drop on the first hill at almost 90 degrees)
and another great coaster at CP, Top Thrill Dragster (shoots you out at 120mph and goes 420 ft in the air - WHAT A RUSH!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbN3NU4hIZg&feature=related
Have a good Thursday, everyone! <3
