Hi Xmas friends! Long time no see. :)

Took me 3 hours but I finally caught up on all the posts from the last two weeks. Things have been really crazy lately!

First off, my dad is officially back to work as of today, and has resumed driving, golfing, and doing things around the house. As my mom said, he is so happy to not have to mandatorily be lazy! lol He is not the type to sit still so I'm sure he's over the moon right now.

Last Thursday thru Sunday, Travis, his sister and brother-in-law and I went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. For those that don't know, CP is the highest rated amusement park in the world, and for GOOD REASON. We had the best time riding the best roller coasters I have ever been on. We stayed in a hotel room that was 500 feet from the park entrance and had more restaurants than we could choose from, plus the view from our room WAS the park, so yeah...amazing is the only word that can do the whole experience justice. The ONLY thing I would take back was the violent stomach illness I inexplicably came down with on Saturday (had to've been food poisoning) that slightly derailed plans that day (I skipped dinner with everyone but went back into the park at night to ride Millenium Force twice in a row...best decision ever!). Unfortunately I didn't feel 100% better until Tuesday...but at least I'm better now!

Also, Travis and I have found yet another possible engagement ring...this always seems to happen when we go back to a store to look at one we've already picked out. =p (Oops...hehe) Too bad it's about $1K over the price I want him to be spending on a ring for me!! (We'd both rather spend $$$ on an awesome honeymoon rather than jewelry!)

BTW, for anyone interested, here is the link to the ring set: http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/store...01|10001|-1|940201900|15051|15051.21826.22081

and a front row POV of my new most favorite roller coaster ever, Millenium Force: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbXPhOFRxTc (yes, that's a 310 ft drop on the first hill at almost 90 degrees)
and another great coaster at CP, Top Thrill Dragster (shoots you out at 120mph and goes 420 ft in the air - WHAT A RUSH!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbN3NU4hIZg&feature=related

Have a good Thursday, everyone! <3

And with this post, Made is poster #12,400. I can hardly believe it. And speaking of believing it, Made will not believe his prize: two crayons, one green and one red!

Christmas colors! Decorative and useful!

Evan has hand, foot and mouth disease.. I guess this is common in young kids... they actually get blisters in their mouth.. and a fever... doctor said can be pretty painful and its contagious but goes away in a few days..so now to try to keep my other Son away...that should be pretty difficult... just wanted to give you guys an update!

Hello Christmas friends!

I'm a couple of days behind on posting! Seems like a I missed one heck of a party at the Pines yesterday too!

Sunday I went shopping at a friend's house from her late mother's Christmas collection. I brought home a whole CAR full of stuff! I got a...
A 3 ft. fiberoptic tree
A set of 2- 4 ft. trees
A rubbermaid tub full of Christmas paper plates and napkins
A rubbermaid tub full of white and silver tree decorations (including tree skirt and matching stockings)
2 table cloths
A "Merry Christmas" wall sign
A Santa wall hanging
A sleigh wall hanging
A 3ft x3ft x2ft sleigh that has a Santa in it and filled with presents
2 full size wreaths, 2 mini wreaths, and 1 9ft pine garland
A wall mirror
A box full of garland and a few other misc items

And guess how much I paid for all of this? $60!!!! I feel like I walked away with a killing!

Otherwise, since then, I've just been working a bit too much. I've got the day off today and going to try get the house cleaned up a bit. With construction going on in the house for the last 3 weeks - we're kind of a mess! Everything out of place and dust everywhere. Its taken WAY longer than they first said it would to remodel our bathroom, but it looks like it is going to get wrapped up hopefully by Monday at the latest. It will be SO nice to finally have a bathroom at home again! The fact that it is brand new is just icing on the cake.

Its a beautiful start to the day here - supposed to sunny and 86 today for the high. Absolutely beautiful! My day off work is rarely the nicest day of the week, but it looks like I got the pick this week! Hope you all get a beautiful day also!

Nice haul!

Severe thunderstorms hit us last night. We are blessed that no one was hurt bad but trees are down everywhere and many homes are damaged. Our house is ok but several large trees are down on our property. One took out a power pole so we have no power, phone or water (no power so well won't work). Duke Power estimates 7 days until we have power restored. This is like I remember my Grandparents home being when I was small. Our son gets to see what it is like to read by an oil lamp. Also we have never had cell phone service at our house, we have to drive several miles to get a signal so we are kind of isolated.

I'm glad we are heading to the beach for a week of vacation on Saturday. Hopefully power & phone will be restored when we get back.

Glad you are ok.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!! It's a warm day here in central Indy with a high of 82 expected this afternoon. I went for a walk with my neighbor this morning and now I am trying to help my sister decide on a good place to stop for the night on her way to Mackinac Island this weekend. It's about 500 miles from here and my sister doesn't think my brother in law can make it all the way with his bad back. They plan on spending 2 days there and then they are going to stop at Frankenmuth on the way back for a couple of days. I am quite jealous and want to go along. Especially to frankenmuth. I told her she better take a lot of pictures at Bronners for me. My brother in laws parents are taking my nieces to Chattanooga for the week. They are going to stay on a train that has now been converted into a hotel. Hopefully my nieces are good while they are down there. They have never even spent the night with that set of grandparents so a whole week could be interesting. Well I guess I should get back to searching for my sister. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to think when people that are not of the Christmas persuasion hear of people going to Frankenmuth, MI for a trip/vacation must not understand the draw of that town. I wanna go there someday, it is like the Disney World for us Christmasy folks. cheesy

Almost through the week. My oldest Son is SICK AGAIN. I cant take much more of these sick kids. I have to work because I had off all of last week except for Tuesday between the kids and I being sick... my Hubby is going to pick up my Son from my Mom's and take him to the doctor... thinking its strep throat this time :-? always something... another nice day here in MD.. in the mid 70's and cloudy..reminds me of a Fall day... I could only wish it was the Fall! Have a good Thursday afternoon/evening friends.

That happens with our boys sometimes where they seem constantly sick for months straight.

Been through that a few times here, not fun.

Oh, my word! Hope he feels better soon!!

Just read that the tornado has forced our town to cancel it's annual huge July 4th celebration. Three of the planners lost their homes in that storm. I feel so bad for everyone that lost their homes. The article also said that 8% (234 buildings) of the buildings in my town were damaged, including 118 that are uninhabitable. My thoughts still go out to all of my fellow townspeople.

Just a quick check in. We are here at the Riverwalk-San Antonio and enjoying it.

I went into a shop on the Riverwalk with a few Christmas trees still up. I took a picture of them and the lady there kindly told me I am not allowed to take pictures. Oops! There is a sign posted outside the store that I didn't see. I apologized but she was very nice about it and said no problem. They always have some ornaments for sale year round on the Riverwalk too.

Wayne is at home watching the fur babies. =)

I will try to catch up on the forums when I get home.

I miss you all! Chat with you all soon!

there is internet here at camp! I am sitting in our dining tent listening to thunder rumble in the distance and hoping it goes the other way!

We are just north of Brights Cove near Sarnia Ontario.

My sister could care less about Bronners. She said they will go in there and take a quick look around but she doesn't plan on spending all day there like I would. My brother in law just wanted to go to frankenmuth for the beer.
