Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good evening,

One more day! I keep finagling the adapter plug to charge the battery on the computer, so I can keep coming back here, I need my daily Christmas fix. cheesy The best thing about tomorrow at work is I get to leave early because I worked an extra long shift on Monday. I passed by a house on my way home tonight, guess what, there was a home decorated with c-9 multi colored lights and 2 Santa Clauses lit up! I couldn't believe it, but it looked beautiful especially on June 29. I will have to get a picture next time if it is still up. LC got stung by a bee on his eyelid at daycare today, my wife brought him to the ER because she said he sounded like he was breathing funny, the DR. said he has no sign of being allergic which is good, considering both my parents were/are deathly allergic to them, My wife and I are not though. I hope everyone had a great day, the Pines was a blast!

I would like to begin by thanking God. None of this would be possible without him. Second, I like to thank my parents for the sacrifices they made for me along the way. I also wanna thank my wife for her patience and willingness to share me with the boards. I wanna thank my dogs for their unconditional love. Made and Binger...how could I forget the two members of the terrible three....the two guys (well, guy and gender neutral) who are there with me late into the night on Dec. 23rd for the most special time. Now that we have won five stars, I'm thinking about retiring and spending more time at home. Thank you all for your support.

The one that is here in Indy is about 45 minutes away. I am not to thrilled with the neighborhood it is in but I may have to brave it one day.

Wow what a night at the pines!!!!! The Tabasco laced coffee was crazy good but my mouth is still on fire. I want to apoligize to Bradmac again for hitting him in the back of the head with that horseshoe. Binger had me laughing so hard that I let it go a little bit to early. Hopefully the bump will go down before morning. With that out of the way I am going to go drink a gallon of milk before I start breathing flames.

It is a beautiful sunny morning here in Ontario. Excitement is mounting with Canada Day fast approaching. BBQ's, parties, fireworks, it's gonna be great!

Wonderful time, as usual, although (also as usual) it was sunshine one moment, showers the next. While we were there, I recorded some special material for a future podcast---stay tuned!

I didn't make it. I passed out early last night.

A quick stop in before I head to work. I am busy! Being a Camp Director at a Tennis Camp is a real handful. The days seem to (somewhat) fly by, but when I get home, I am exhausted! Plus, I have a bunch of things on the go, so I have very little time for the internet!

Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone. The count keeps getting small, which is awesome! Have a wonderful day, everyone. I'll keep trying to check in here as much as I can!

I am wiped out! I have had my 3 grandchildren for 11 hours, 3 days in a row and they will be over in a little bit. Thank God for my mom, she has helped me out some. This is my Friday and after today the kids will not be back over until Tuesday. Their parents are off until then for 4th of July. I will sure miss the kids but can certainly use the rest!

I do go to work on Sunday and for about an hour on the 4th. We are closed for the holiday but I go in and feed the animals.

I don't know how young your camp kids are, but it's a good thing you're still young, too!

Wow! June nearly gone already.
Six months down with six to go and another year will be complete.

But well before we reach that point, we will arrive at our grand and glorious Christmas Season!

Two weeks from today, Guys -- the 2/3 mark to Christmas Season 2011!

Well, at last we have started out a morning below the 70 degree mark.
It was 68 when I got up and still only 71 as I type this.
Lower humidity expected for today, too.
(A good day to get some of that outside work completed! Or maybe tak a walk.)

Travel/Countdown Volunteer alert.
The Crowns are off to the mountains tomorrow afternoon, returning Sunday.
A volunteer is needed for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Any takers?
(Carl said he would have but clean-up/restocking duties at the 'Pine following yesterday's wild party will be keeping him busy.)

It will be only 80 degrees here today, the coolest ever for my birthday girl daughter, who turns 11 today and traditionally has amongst the hottest days of the year as part of her big day. Don't know why but I've always used her birthday as a kind of half way point to get busy getting ready for the season ahead.

Should be near 100 for the 4th though....right on time.
