:rudolph:Hello everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself~
I'm married, work for a general contractor, live in the desert, have a dog I swear is an angel, and am in love with everything Christmas!! I was raised in the midwest with many wonderful holiday traditions & am having so much fun making some of our own out here. I collect a Christmas village that is getting rather large, but don't plan to stop anytime soon! Most of all, I am very excited to be here. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hello and Welcome!!!!!

Thank you guys! I collect St. Nicholas Square from Kohl's. And some Mr. Christmas. It's very addictive!!
Please forgive me, I'm not sure if I'm replying correctly :)

It is. I got into several years ago when we just had a kid or two. I collected for quite a while before I got poor. Then as the kids were growing up I found they were a little hard them, what with Barbie taking over the village and GI Joe taking over the train and all.

Now that my kids are a little older, I'm getting back into it. It's expensive...and you never have enough. I collected the North Pole series from Department 56 because they matched my train so nicely. Not sure if I will keep that up or not.

Where about in Nevada are you? I'm in Utah, so we're practically neighbors!

Las Vegas~ Yes, we are neighbors. Where in UT?
And it does get expensive! I try to buy when they're on sale or at end of season :-) There's always that one piece that you just have to have...
I still want that train set. Maybe someday!

We're in Sandy, just south of Salt Lake a piece. I know LV all too well, used to go there a lot on business. Gotta be hot there these days!

Yes, I find my tastes get more expensive as we go along. I've always told my wife that when the kids move out I'm taking over one whole side of the basement to permanently set up my display and just go for it completely. I'm going make snow fall from the ceiling!

Welcome to the site! Feel free to share pictures of your collections here. There are many that collect villages, and figurines as well, and many of us love seeing pictures.

Snow from the ceiling? That would be amazing!!
My husband is really getting into setting the village up each year. He calls himself the "Town Planner"!

Yes, it's very hot here right now. Humid, too- "Monsoon season". Beautiful cloud cover, though!

Welcome to MMC, snowflake! cheesy
