Days to Christmas Day: 158
Two weeks from the day after tomorrow = the 100-day Season Milestone!

Well, the weather service has changed our heat predictions.
Seems like 99 was not sufficient for Friday. They now say it will be 101.
And that's before calculation of the heat index from our high humidity.
"I'm melting....I'm melting! What a world, what a world!"

Well, not to worry.
Carl has the old A/C cranked up full blast at the 'Pines just in case the fresh mountain air on the rooftop deck isn't sufficent.
Lots of Sweet Southern Iced Tea on tap too!

I have to take mom for a 1 year check up on her foot tommorrow and then we have to babysit awhile.

It's been a year already?! Time flies! I hope she gets a good report!

He did that. I think the big problem is that he's using Vista and the security settings there are notoriously a pain in the you-know-what.

I was wondering where he was. I have Vista but not sure what to suggest. My son is in college for Computer Tech and they are learning that stuff so I will ask him this evening.

It's hump day, and I'm glad! It's a weird weeks with Nancy & the kids staying at the church campground, while I'm home with the dog. They say there's just not enough room for another person to sleep there. Trouble, is, I don't sleep well in an empty house, either. Come on Friday!

I had trouble logging in after the overhaul too. I followed Jeff's instructions but it still took another full day before I was able to get back in after dumping the cache. Guess that sucker was full!

Beaten to the punch! I was going to suggest an index card and some masking tape. A Band-Aid is even better!

Best of all: Leave the webcam ON and wear that Christmas Hawaiian shirt!

Good morning,

I am at my in laws house quickly catching up, my computer at home will not let me access MMC. My bro-in-law is checking out my computer, seeing if he can figure it out. I have missed this place. I am off until Saturday for a bereavement for my grandmother in law, and I can also help with my mother in law who is home now. My bro in law has seemed to figure it out now so I will see when I get home if it is working correctly.

Good evening everyone! I may have a few days to be around more because I have gotten sick...my blood glucose keeps getting very low and I passed out yesterday and today,so I am on bedrest(yay!!) for an undetermined amount of time. yesterday it was 43 after I blacked out and today it was 55..it's suppose to be in between 70 and 120. I have never had this problem before so it does have me conserned..anywho I am trying my hardest to catch up here,but it is nearly impossible! You guys have lit this thread on fire! I think yall are already to the page where I thought you would be at when I came home in october! I take it alot of you are watching Christmas in July!! I never have watched it before but I hope you all get that warm christmas feeling when viewing it. I think I would go bankrupt from ordering everything I saw on it! have a great day everyone...and thanks everyone for the warm welcome back yesterday!

When I was looking into laptop computers and had my eye on the one I have now the guy said, "the only problem is, there is not a built in webcam on this one". I said, "good, then I will buy it then"! I don't want a built in webcam on mine AT ALL!

I will keep the bandaid in mind if I purchase another laptop. =)
