Hey everyone! I've been MIA for a bit while hubby and I demolished the kitchen on a whim and hung all new drywall and new woodwork throughout. We started that with a deadline of 10 days to be mostly finished, as we were hosting a bbq for the 4th of July in which we usually have 50-60 people over!! With about 30 min to spare, we got the house at least presentable and the food finished and had a successful party!

Since then, I turned a business trip visiting other restaurants in our chain into a vacation for DD and myself. We got to visit with my family in Oklahoma City and Kaylin did GREAT on the road trip of 9 hours. I was worried about doing the drive by myself with a 3yo, but she was awesome.

The rest of the summer has been a blur and I'm hoping the rest speeds by just as fast. I can't wait for fall and the easy going days turning into crisp, cool nights! Apple picking, Halloween, Thanksgiving and then....well, you all know! Its only 157 more days folks!

Alright, well, I'll be checking back in more often now as things are settling down. For now, I'm heading to bed. I got a cavity filled at the dentist today and my mouth is in a TON of pain!! Hoping that it calms down over night and I can eat like normal again tomorrow.

Have a great night! Can't wait till midnight tomorrow so that we can tune into QVC for their Christmas in July!

my boyfriends sister comes to visit today....Kandice is very exited to meet her again....the last time she was there, was in July 2008...so she will stunned at how big Kandice has gotten.

btw....it looks like I got a job......lets say 95 percent.....I will do a training day on Monday and if I like it....I can start the job....I ll be a mailwoman....:D....if it works out....:D so cross ya fingers for me

I am off to bed, it is still very hot here, still 32c and very humid.

My son insists on sleeping in his room and I am worried about him as there is no AC up there. But he is being very stubborn about it and refuses to sleep in the basement where it is cooler. There is a couple of fans in his room, but it is still stifling in there. Lots of warnings about being careful in this heat, I sure hope he does not get sick.

I am sure he will be fine...but I do understand Your concern!!! I would be worried, too

my washing mashine is broken!!!!! just now......it was shaking so much....I am sure if i didnt stop it I would have crashed into the shower booth....lol.....no problem tho......my dad is moving in with my bro s fam and has a spare washing mashine...so guess who will get this one? yup...I will.........

Hello all!! just popping in to say hello before i mozy off to bed! Hope everyones day was a good one.. and that all your ac machines held up!!!!

Good Morning MMC !

Morning!

Sooo not going outside today with the kids. They said it'll probably be the hottest day of the year (102). Ugh. My poor husband came home just exhausted last night from the heat. He said they took it very slow outside but were still hotter than ever. I pray he is safe today! Stay cool, friends!

Good morning, MMC!

There is an overcast sky outside right now - I'm not sure if there are storms forecast or not. It is a comfortable temperature right now - I'm going to go out and take care of the fur kids and then get ready for work. I need to do a lot of paperwork again and I want to get a few things ready to take to the store tomorrow.

Binger's mentions of iced coffee convinced me to drink one this morning - absolutely delicious!!! Thank you for the idea, Binger!!!!

Have a great day, all, and stay cool and hydrated!!!!!!!!

I'm an iced coffee addict, too! I put our extra coffee from the morning in a thermos and keep it in the fridge so I can have an iced coffee anytime!

Never had a frozen coffee....just can't bring myself to do it. Doesn't seem right.

Just took dogs outside. I had to push the male out. I opened the door and he just looked at me, as if to say.....are you crazy, it's hot out there!

Imagine seeing a grown man trying to fight his 160 pound dog to go outside. My neighbor laughed. I didn't think it was funny. But when he took off running towards her, she didn't think it was funny anymore! Thank God we have a fence.

Keep cool and healthy, everyone. It's supposed to hit 100 even in New England today. I wore one of my Hawaiian shirts to keep cool. Even Mr. wore a Hawaiian shirt today---take it from me, that's a Very Rare Event.

trackrebel, good luck on that job! You may wind up carrying all the Christmas Card Exchange cards and Ornament Exchange ornaments going to Germany! cheesy

it was so hot upstairs the candles were melting and my son was using a bottle of frozen water in front of the fan to try and keep it cooler July 21, 2011

Good morning,

I am jonsing for some MMC! I am still having router issues and standing here connected my laptop to the ethernet cable just to get on here. I don't have enough time to catch up on all the posts, so I skimmed through and welcomed some newbies. The heat is on up here also, we were at a heat index of 104* yesterday, it was so humid my in laws weather center was saying it was raining, but of course the sun was out cooking everything in its path. Well I have my Dr. appt today I will find out if I have to have the surgery on Dec. 23, it looks like it will be that day because it is the next time my wife will be home to help me out while I am down, and there is still to much going on the rest of the summer before school starts. Its not the greatest time to have it but it guarantees I will have ten days off during Christmas. cheesy
It may be a little while before I get a new router, but I will get a longer cord so I can get on when I can until then.
I miss talking with all of you.

CM3 I will keep Wes in my thoughts.

Have a great day and keep cool.

Good Morning!

Oh I know what you mean, Coach.
TEA! Now that's the drink to serve cold! (Well, maybe not frozen. But.....interesting idea!

And with that cool thought.....on with the count!
Days to the Season: 114
Days to Christmas Day: 156
Two weeks, Folks -- and we will be at the 100-day Season Milestone!

Wowzers. No, Double-Wowzers! (Shall we try for Triple-Wowzers??)
Temperature-wise, that is.
The weather service originally predicted 99 for yesterday, then upped it to 101. Our actual count was 102. And the heat index pushed us over 105!
The prediction is again 101 for today.
<< Gasp! >> Enough is enough!

Well, to take our minds off the heat, let's focus on the fact that it's WEEKEND EVE once again.
You have a Fabulous Friday and a Wonderous Weekend to boot, Everyone!

Good morning everyone.. saw on the local news this morning about a man in PA who decorated his house this week for Christmas...
http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news...istmas____in_July_Philadelphia-125993558.html

Took my mom out shopping last night and we stopped at the Christmas Tree Shoppe ... picked up a couple small christmas gifts for hubby and the kids and some Christmas books for me to read. They had some tropical and beachy themed Christmas decorations out. It was a nice break from this miserable heat most of us are suffering from.

Tonight we are taking the kids to the Soul Football game. Should be fun...

Stay cool and safe everyone...
