I had to have surgery on December 23rd one year. I was in bed on Christmas Day but still had a great Christmas!

I usually fight the hot weather with Christmas weapons: music and movies! :grin:
Wayne has come down with a cold and is off work today. I was sick last weekend and he is sick this weekend. Bummer! I am not sure we will make it out for Christmas in July stuff but at least we have QVC this weekend!
They did say on the news a few weeks ago that the hot weather will cause an outbreak of illness because no one can get out in the fresh air. Looks like it attacked us!

Awesome! That's not too far from me and my hubby is sometimes in Royersford for work - I should tell him to look out for that house! :celebrate:

Good Friday morning, my Chirstmas friends!
Nancy came home from Campmeeting last night with our daughter who was crying. She said there were too many people who wanted to stay in her grandma's house at the campground, and there was no room for them. She almost never cries, and it breaks my heart when she does. :sad: We promised her we would take her back to the campground early this morning, then we put her in the bed with us. That made her feel a little better. We're carrying the air mattress with us tonight to make sure she has a bed.
Not much else happening here. Still working on the pool deck. Grrrr.

Maybe tea-sicles---iced tea on a stick? I've heard of folks who make ice cubes out of tea so as not to dilute their iced tea. Tea-sicles would be a logical next step.

woke up at 5;30 am this morning and at 6am decided to get up.......contrary to the terrible heat the United States is suffering from.....over here in Germany we hoping for at least 25-27 degrees.......and sun....been raining most of last week and most people I know came down with bad colds.....I was just outside and it feels like early October.....I usually love this.....but not in mid-july.....lol....but then on the other hand......weather is weather....moaning about it doesnt make it any better....lol.....
my boyfriends sister comes to visit today....Kandice is very exited to meet her again....the last time she was there, was in July 2008...so she will stunned at how big Kandice has gotten.
btw....it looks like I got a job......lets say 95 percent.....I will do a training day on Monday and if I like it....I can start the job....I ll be a mailwoman........if it works out....

Good Morning Christmas friends! Its 101 feeling like 117 here today. UGH after tomorrow we will get a break on Sunday with temps in the low 90's. Today at work Im putting up our Christmas tree..we will keep it up the rest of the day today and on Monday for our Christmas in July celebration!
Having my Christmas in July dinner on Sunday. My Mother in Law is even coming..and she doesnt normally come over so Im excited. My Parents, Brother and Grandma are all coming too. Im making a spiral ham with my own homemade glaze, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, corn, brown and serve rolls, my Mom is making cucumber salad and a pumpkin and apple crumb pie, my Grandma is making her famous stuffing and my MIL will be making deviled eggs..and I have some left over cookies from the other day. Its gonna be a feast! I also cant wait to have QVC on too! Ho Ho Ho

I do that too....in the middle of summer....when it is melting hot....I pop in a christmas movie and I feel cooler
