Hey all! I'm checking in after a fun evening at work! We had our first family night at our new restaurant and did a them of "Under the Big Top." Everything was circus oriented and we had a blast. The guests really seemed to love it too!
I've got some fun links to post over in the recipes area and the radio area. I like being able to share the fun - so go check those areas out!
In other exciting news, a good friend of mine had her baby this morning. I'm so very happy for her. I'll get to go visit the baby on Thursday and I can't wait. She and her DH waited till the baby was born to find out the sex and its a little girl! Now I can finally go pick out some cutie little outfits cheesy
Tomorrow is my long day at work, so I may not make it to the Pines. What a bummer! I'll try to check in after work, but 13 hours is just too much! Maybe I'll stream MCR on my computer in the office in between the evaluations that I'm working through! That will help keep me relaxed and in the spirit.

My router is still working, another loooooonnnnnngggggg day of painting but we are done, in all it took us 21 hours to primer, paintn reprime and repaint the living room and hallway. I think Mr. Miyagi's technique of using painting has me ready for the karate tourney now. cheesy Just watching the Red Sox and Twins and catching up here before bed, back to work tomorrow for my late shift, then Thursday while I am at work, my sister and her little family will get here, it will be the first time I meet my nephew. I should probably get going for the night.

School always marks the beginning of a busy time....football, basketball, Halloween, and Thanksgiving all happen with about 10 family get-togethers and cookouts. This is my favorite time of year, no doubt!

The humidity has finally broken here in Mid-Michigan. It feels like fall outside :dance:
Last night my headache got so bad I decided to take a nap - 12 hours later I woke up. Guess I must have needed the sleep cheesy
Today I am visiting family and working - will try to fit two days worth of activities into one. It will be a fun and interesting, albeit busy, day!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!
Wow, a storm came up out of nowhere yesterday evening. I don't typically get nervous about weather, but this one scared me. Nancy and Jacob were over in the next town with his guitar lessons, and Elizabeth was a dance lessons. I thought I was going to have to go get her and come to work, where the walls are metal framed and the outer walls are bridge beams. The wind finally relented, and it rained for an hour. Whew!
The storm kept me from working on the deck yesterday, so I have to get to work on it today. Open house at school is tomorrow, so I can't work on it then. I'm trying to get it done, because everyone passes our house on the way to school. I hate to have such a mess in the yard!

The Crowns are off (no, the family, not tooth crowns) to SC for our annual family reunion Friday and a Countdown volunteer will be needed for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
First come -- first served!
On with the count:
Days to the Season: 95
Days to Christmas Day: 137
Scarcely over half a week off now from the 3/4 Season marker!
Finally some gradually cooling weather is predicted for the next few days.
Should make the trip nicer on Friday.
It is a pleasant 74 degrees here at this hour.
Allrighty, Folks!
Carl will be at the front door of the Shispering Pines today to welcome all comers with that ever-coveted first free Fired Twinkie and glass of Sweet Southern iced tea or cup of coffee - your choice.
(I would go with the tea, personally, but hey.....)
