Hello Everyone!!

Hello All, I have not been here for awhile, but I have kept my Christmas Pals and the spirit of Christmas alive in my heart everyday. I have read through some posts but of course I have LOTS of catching up to do. I woke up this morning and looked at my countdown calendar and can't believe the holiday is almost here again. Only 130 days!!! For some that seems like forever, but for those of us who keep it alive all year, it is just around the corner. My heart filled with such joy when I signed on today. It really brings the holiday to life when I am here among people who share my love for the season. I would like to wish everyone a MERRY day, and tell you all how so very happy I am to be here and see everyone!!!

Hey all! Busy day today, heading to bed. Hope everyone had a great day. See everyone in the morning for coffee.....
I'm here with coffee in my Santa mug!!

Good late evening,

I was just hanging around with my sister and bro-in-law, they leave in the morning while I will be a work. It was a great visit, and just like the feeling when Christmas is over, I'll get the blues not knowing when I will see them again.
I did have a great dream last night, Kmart had already set up their Christmas displays, but instead of being in the lawn and garden section it was right in the very front of the store, my family and I were playing with all of the interactive decorations...and then I woke up. I wish it was true.

One more thing, I was able to score an antique sleigh for free, it needs some work, like re-upholstering and paint job? But it will be the centerpiece of my Christmas store, it will be where Santa sits at Christmastime for pictures, and just a great way to merchandise the "Hot" items of the month when it is time for that store to come true. I will take pictures of it when I get it home. I am so excited about this!

I will catch up on today's posts tomorrow.

Have a great night!

Oooh, I want to see this sleigh!!! Have any pics????

Have not for the first time in just forever, had time to catch up here! That will come next week when I am on vacation. This week will be busy so am sure it will go quickly.
So...

MORNING!

Morning all :yahoo:

How is everyone today??
Doing well - exhausted!! How are you?

Our cell phones kept buzzing around 3am with an Amber Alert for a missing 3 year old in the city.. and having a 3 year old myself, I was so terrified and couldn't fall back askeep for over an hour! I am beat! And the "3 year old" was really a 5 year old who was found sleeping on a bus that he took for a field trip at day camp... phew!

Oh duh, xmas... you said you would take pics!! I can't wait to see!! It sounds beautiful! Can you use it for decorating at home until you have your store, too?

Good morning, MMC!

Lovely morning here in Mid-Michigan. It did not start out that way, though, as I had a major headache. The pain relievers have kicked in and I am feeling human. Yay!!! Unfortunately, there went my excuse for a nap later today

Work is on tap today - store business this morning and my assistant job this afternoon. I'm trying to identify decanters so I can put my collection on sale at the store. After looking at numerous pictures yesterday and the day before, I am no closer to identifying them. It will be a very busy day again!

Have a Terrific and Merry Tuesday!!!!!!!!

Nice dream and it will come true soon!

I can't wait to see the pics!
I'm glad things worked out well for Wayne. Just a thought: my cell phone does not work in certain areas - the next town over it is hard for anyone to get a signal. Maybe that guy had the same problem.
That's true!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

There's not much to report today. One of my coworkers just went home with the stomach flu. Ack!! Where's my bottle of germ-X??

I did put my blue rope lights out on the deck handrails last night. It looks pretty cool! Nancy wasn't too sure about it, but she'll come around...I think.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good into-the-week Morning, Friends of the Christmas Season!

Yes, Monday is behind us and we have a head of steam up as we progress through the week with the Shispering Pines to look forward to tomorrow.

Let's check in on the count:
Days to the Season: 89
Days to Christmas Day: 131
SINGLE DIGITS now to the 2/3 Milestone to Christmas Day!

We had the nicest day yesterday in about 2 months or so.
With lower humidity and a high of 85 it was a good day to spent time outside.
No rain is predicted until at least Friday, and then it's only a 30 percent chance.
Whew! 'Bout time we had a break.

You have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!

Wayne had a similar situation that scared me to death when he told me about it later. He said a guy approached him at a gas station and told him a long story about he and his wife are staying at a hotel and did not have a home. They needed more money to stay another night. Wayne told him he didn't have any cash, which was true he was using a debit card. The guy then asked if he could just go to the hotel and pay for a nights stay with his debit card. Wayne agreed but the guy said he would ride with him to the hotel. That part freaked me out! Wayne should have agreed to just meet him in the hotel office. He drove the guy there which was just across the street from the gas station and paid for a night at the hotel. It all ended safely!

I have told Wayne many times that I just don't hand out money to strangers but I am more than happy to buy them what they need (if I am able to). At least Wayne knew where the money went. If you give them cash you don't know where it's really going to. I have given them stuff (food/clothing) but not cash.

Anyway, I am glad your situation turned out good and that was nice of you to help. The part I don't get is I thought everyone had cell phones. Surprised they didn't have one to call for help.

Well I can tell you I wasn't all that comfortable with the situation. When I got him there and paid the rent for him, he invited me to the room to meet his wife. That's where I drew the line, I told him I needed to get home, but thanked him for the offer. I found out later that the motel he was staying at is know for drug dealers and stuff like that, so who knows what was in his room.

That IS exciting! Can't wait for the pics!

Take the nap anyway! Naps are good.

Good morning everyone :) hope you are all having a merry start. I but the HUGH cup of tea at Starbucks today, I think I need another one!!! I cannot wake up today. Even Snickers wanted to just cuddle in bed today, I soooo wanted to stay, but someone has to earn the kibble!!! Tee Hee... The kitties were very fresh this morning milling about at the front door wanting to go out. I tell you I am sure that I am in charge, right?!?!?!????

Anywho, I wanted to run this by you all... see what you have to say, now I know we only know each other thru posts and whatnot. But, I have been kicking around an idea for a while and just wanted to see what others thought of it. I want to start my own business. Now, I know this economy, but I wouldn't need to leave my job right away, it would be a sort of girl friday type, I have been in construction lord I for over 20 years now, and one thing I noticed is that a lot of this companies run from their trucks, and some can afford help and some cannot but one thing remains they all need help. Today's market in NY anyway demands that they meet certain standards and well, I think I could help by providing this - running an office without them having to pay into a persons health care, vacation, etc. It would be a service that they pay for I can do their quotes, submittals, shop drawings (all industry terms). I can ensure their insurance is correct, up to date, maintain files, type & file all DOB certificates, etc. Also, receive and print drawings for quoting, I mean there is a lot that could be done. Well, I think I am going to do it, hey right if you do not try you will never know! So I think I am going to work on starting this up. Thanks for letting me get this out there it helps just sharing and creates more ideas.

Be well all....

Wow!! That's a great score and it sounds like you have a great plan for it.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is going to be a warm day here in central Indy and it looks like the humidity is going to return tonight and tomorrow. I never ran my errands yesterday so I need to get them done today and then I have some work to do on my truck. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Tuesday!

The weather at night has been so nice now, we don't need to have the air on and we can open the windows. Yesterday I even smelled a hint of fall in the air! (leaves and fireplaces!). Its almost that time! I was talking to my Mom saying how very soon we will be pulling out the fall/Halloween stuff. She is excited too. Not much new with us. Watched the newest episode of Haven. Very good. Brrr my work building has the a/c cranked up way to high in the summer/late summer. Almost need a coat. haha. I'm heading to Mr Sub for lunch soon, didn't bring a lunch because I didn't make anything! hah. Hope everyone has a good day! Ill be watching!! ho ho ho!

I was just thinking the same thing! I know its still August, but the temps have been a bit cooler, there is that faint fall smell in the air...Perhaps my favorite fall barometer is that the craft brewers are shipping their fall seasonal brew (pumpkin, octoberfest, etc) I've already enjoyed my 1st pumpkin ale of the season, and I'm brewing some Octoberfest this weekend!

Anywho, have a great Tuesday all!!

Does anyone want to come change the oil in my truck for me? I have lost my motivation to go lay on the ground.
