We just had an earthquake here a few minutes ago ... first one I ever felt! It was pretty mild---everything was shaking like when a big, heavy truck or train goes by. (I'm on the fourth floor of an office building that was converted from an old watch and clock factory.) I guess it's pretty common for you Californians, but on the East Coast, it's a new experience!

I'm eating candy corn! Mmmmm! 1st of the season!

same here I am in NYC working on the WTC. It was surreal. Almost like I had sea sickness or was very dizzy.

Looks like Made and I will be fighting to see who wins you over, xmas365! =)

No, no the G----- MAN!!!!!!!!! They need all the support they can get, I do not count last night they are a hurting team right now...

No wait I take that back for even in our dark days, and well let's be honest the G-Men had some real dark days, I stayed true. You can too, don't jump ship I love the Bangles even if they are hurting right now you keep the faith!!!

It gave us a pretty good shake here in Maryland. I work in a doctor's office on the second floor of a small building, and all of our drug samples got tumbled off the shelves. We almost got to the point where we asked the patients to evacuate the building, but then things calmed down. It was pretty scary. It couldn't have lasted more than 30 seconds, but it felt like it was much longer. I understand that the quake was centered in Richmond Virginia, and it was either 5.8 or 6.0 on the Richter scale. I heard from folks on my Halloween forum that you could feel it in New York!

CAH & LB,

I wish I could be more enthusiastic about the upcoming football season, I am a Cincinnati Bengals fan and I have no hope whatsoever this year for them. I honestly believe they will not win a game this year. I have been a fan of them for 30 years, and I am honestly thinking of changing my allegiance until the owner sells the team. A friend at work is trying to get me to switch to the Steelers, and my bro-in-law to the Patriots, (which will never happen, I hate the Pats) I don't know if I can deal with being a Bungles fan anymore.

Bring on hockey season!!! cheesy

OK, I know I said don't switch, but to be honest it would rip my heart out if you rooted for the Patriots (sorry my New England friends - I respect your teams but I love to hate them too it makes the games so much more passionate. In a good way not crazy like some people get.) I mean when I am at a Yankee - Red Sock game the passion is so much higher then when we play say oh the Rays or the Angels (who I believe are really just little pesky devils!!!).

But, back to football. You stay true to those Bangles I mean you had none other then Chris Collinsworth... Recruited by Dick Dickey, a First Time All American, a three time Pro-Bowler, oh and when he was a Gator he was part of a record breaking team for the biggest one time turn around in College Football. So don't turn for another team. We all hit bad times, you'll be back that is the beauty of sports up one year down the next!!!!

I just had this talk with my daughter last night who is not sure if she is a Cowboys fan anymore because they lost a few of her favorite players. I told her it's all part of the NFL and it's the way it goes. I have been bummed out in the past when my favorite players left too but still stuck with them.

I also said to her like I will say to you, stick with them until they pull through their rut. I know Cowboys have had their share of ups and down, last year for instance being terrible, but I will always stand behind them. There have been some years they were nothing but a joke to everyone then suddenly make the Super Bowl and win! It's times like that makes it all worth it to be loyal to them. I guess you could say it's like family to me, stick with them through the good and the bad. Then again, it's only football, it's up to you to decide. =)

.......But, if you really want to change your allegiance, be a Cowboys fan! :!!

That is too funny!!!!

I think he needs a team a little closer to home than the cowboys. You could always root for the COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is way funny too... Now, why oh why I ask the stars could my Manning be more like your Manning, oh the cruel hand of football fate that makes one brother great... ****Sigh**** I have often wished we could switch but hey he did win one Superbowl right, I should be sad... But, oh he makes me sooooooo mad.

Felt the house shake and rattle for about 15-20 seconds here in Raleigh close to 1:50 PM.
Thought they were doing their usual blasting at the rock quarry but it lasted too long to be that.

You are the closest, Bing. What did it feel like where you are?

.. Got about 3 hours of sleep due to an ill kitten. My poor buster has gotten sick about 9 times now In the last 6 hours... I'm very worried..however he doesn't go outside..

I hope he feels better soon!!!!!!

My brother was admitted into the hospital in NC for inflamation on his brain. Several things are collectively wrong with him--Agent Orange esposure in Viet Nam, diabetes, (now) blindness as a result of diabetes.

I'll keep him in my prayers.

There are people here in Indy that say they felt it. I didn't feel it though.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It will be another hot day here again today--99 degrees or higher! I will soon be off to school. My brother was admitted into the hospital in NC for inflamation on his brain. Several things are collectively wrong with him--Agent Orange esposure in Viet Nam, diabetes, (now) blindness as a result of diabetes. My niece is an RN and is keeping me informed. Hope all of y'all have a great day!

I will keep him in my thoughts

What on earth is "nice and cool"??????? Still 105+ temps here. Hopefully we will cool down sometime in the near future!

The commentators for the Red Sox game last night in Arlington, were speaking tongue in cheek about the heat last night. I thought of you and SIT when they were talking about it. I hope fall comes early for you this year.
