I was listening to a local sports radio station here during my lunch today. They were talking about the Rangers and Red Sox game from the night before. Well the host of the show (Randy Galloway) made the comment that Marco Scutaro is a small guy but had a big hit during the game. He compared him in size to Brenda Lee. Well the younger co hosts of the show didn't know who Brenda Lee is, and one of them said that he just lost everybody under 70. Well I texted into the show that Brenda Lee sings Rockin Around The Christmas Tree. And when they came back from commercial they were playing that song and Galloway thanked me for texting that in. So I got a radio station to play a Christmas song in August, even if it was just a little bit of it.

Great job getting them to play a Christmas song!

weather has now moved on, kids are fine. Lots of downed trees in many areas, no more major damage.

Evening, everyone!

Well, we've made it... 2/3s of the way to Christmas! Extra cheers to those who have stuck it out day-in and day-out throughout 2011. I've probably only been around for about 20 days total, but this year has definitely flown by for me. Now, however, it seems that I am entrenched with the Christmas Spirit.

Yes, I have missed this place a lot and hope to continue posting each day! I am excited to hop aboard the sleigh and ride into the Christmas Season with you all!!

I'd be lying to say I wasn't looking forward to this weekend. Only one more week in my summer job... and I must admit, I do not have much energy left. The kids are fun, but wow! It is incredibly draining.

Hope all is well with everyone. I need some more rest (I just got home from practice)!

Good Milestone/Rudolph Day Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! It is going to be a little cooler today here in central Indy with a high of 84. I stayed up until 8am and then I had to take a nap. Now I am up and at it again.

That's what I call dedication!

Good afternoon, Christmas family !!

What a WICKED storm last night !! Lost power for about an hour and a half. All kinds of branches and wind damage in our town (not at our house, thankfully !)

Just bought a 2 foot tree from QVC !!!!! I figured I will keep it in my room and have a decorated tree ALL YEAR !!!!!!:-x

Today is my Friday. Thank goodness. Now it's on to Jim Shore !!!

Oh.........I love that Jim Shore Santa and Baby Jesus that they have on as a preview !!!!! xo

I have always wanted a year round tree, glad your house is okay.

People are taking the storm threat seriously, very busy day only going to get busier as Irene approaches. Just finished watching the movie Unstoppable, I really enjoy that flick. Haven't watched much QVC, which is probably a good thing, always want Christmas stuff.
