So glad tomorrow is Friday, but I gotta admit, I'm a little nervous for my East Coast friends. Just know, I have an extra bedroom if anybody needs it. I really mean that. Tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding...been a weird weather year. Maybe we can get some snow at Christmas!

I have to share...

Now - Canadian Tire is one store that has always been one of the first to bring out its Christmas deorations (in Brantford, anyway). For sure...by mid September they are well on their way!

I went to Canadian Tire on the weekend. Well....I walked to the area where they put the Christmas decorations out and looked behind one of the large shelves...and loe and behold...CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!! Well...it was all I ccould do to contain myself!!! Its all soooooo very exciting and I'm full of happiness!!!

I hope you all are feeling happy too...and I hope you have a merry (Christmassy) day!

I was listening to a local sports radio station here during my lunch today. They were talking about the Rangers and Red Sox game from the night before. Well the host of the show (Randy Galloway) made the comment that Marco Scutaro is a small guy but had a big hit during the game. He compared him in size to Brenda Lee. Well the younger co hosts of the show didn't know who Brenda Lee is, and one of them said that he just lost everybody under 70. Well I texted into the show that Brenda Lee sings Rockin Around The Christmas Tree. And when they came back from commercial they were playing that song and Galloway thanked me for texting that in. So I got a radio station to play a Christmas song in August, even if it was just a little bit of it.

That is AWESOME!!! Way to gooooooooo!!!

Good for you! Mr. works with a guy who never heard of Jimmy Cagney ... that makes me tremble.

You just got me thinking, MerryCarey...about how important it is to make sure generations after us know people such as Jimmy Cagney! My Mom did that for me with Shirley Temple, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Fred Astair, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Ginger Rogers...to name but a few.

I need to make sure that my granddaughters know who these people are too!

Hello friends!!! 120 days to go.. and less then 100 days here in Toronto until the Santa Claus Parade.. which I think I will go to this year as my son will be 4 and really gets it :hi:Wow.. Iam starting to make lists in my mind and planning my son's 4th Birthday party Time is flying!
