Mrs. Hilda did well in her surgery, and she may be coming home today! Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts!

So glad to hear your MIL is doing well!!! We will still keep her in our thoughts for a continued worry free recovery!!!

Haha - my husband made fun of me once we first started dating, but now he says it too. It's funny because we pronounce things so differently and it will be neat to see how our kids pronounce things. His mom is from Pittsburgh, so she has that slang and then my family from the Central part of Pa, so my dad and his mother both say things like: "wrsh" the clothes (I can't even spell that because I don't even know how you would) instead of wash, but him and I both say wash. It's just funny to see how people do pronounce things differently. Anyway, crick is a big way for creek in our area. Oh and your welcome for the memory!!!

Anyone dealing with this crazy rain??? I woke up at 3 to a slight leak in our bedroom (we have to get our roof repaired anyway so it's not a big surprise) but no biggie... there is some major flooding in our area, though. Before we bought this house, we put offers in on a few other places in towns nearby but didn't get the places. We were so bummed but now I know it is for the best - all of those towns are MAJORLY underwater right now, some homes to the first floor!!! Ay yi yi.

If you're dealing with this rain - stay safe!!

It is raining here today again, but not nearly as bad as it had been. Stay safe as well! It sounds like you guys are still getting it really bad there!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It is a rainy dreary morning here in central Indy. It's still nice and cool though so I won't complain. My cold is better this morning. I basically just have the annoying cough left. I have my normal cleaning to do today and then I may take a nap. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

I hope your great aunt is staying safe, Holidaysburg what a great name for a town, sounds like something from a Christmas cartoon or movie.

Made: this wouldn't be Hollidaysburg, Pa would it? I am sure there are more than 1 Hollidaysburg's, but I was just checking...we have been having flooding here too, so just checking.

I think central and northern PA has it even worse than us... hope your aunt stays safe and dry!

It has been pretty bad here - I am in Central Pa - it always floods here when it rains a good bit, depending on where you are. We have lots of cricks, rivers, and lakes around and they're always flooding.

My husband was just saying the same thing about his Bears. Game days are kind of amusing in our house...
Ironically, he'll be rooting for Rodgers tonight because he has him on his fantasy team! Maybe I won't get harassed as much tonight, lol.

I saw upstate has mandatory evacuations!! Nuts! The rivers here are wayyy over their banks, but that happens with heavy rains... just WAY moreso than usual. My husband got caught on a highway today and couldn't go anywher e- they shut it down, couldn't get off b/c the streets were so badly flooded. Took him over 2 hours to get 25 miles!!

Nancy had planned to spend the night in the hospital with her mother, but she started feeling very bad and had to come home. She was so upset with herself, feeling that she had let her mother down, even though her sister stayed. When she got home she cried & cried, till she cried herself to sleep. Bless her heart. With a good report from the hospital today, though, Nancy seems to be feeling better, too. She went back to the hospital in Savannah this morning to help bring her mom home.

I am bogged down here at work, so I better get on it. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

What a wild night at the Pines, I guess !! Thanks to Carl (what a sweetie) who gave me the special Goober blend of coffee so I can understand the doctors I listen to !!! Don't know what is in that Goober blend but it worked !!:lol:

I hope all who have flooding stay safe !! Our basement is basically always a water pit but never really gets very high. YUCK I HATE wet basements.

Lauriebear - Your project with The Christmas Angel sounds incredible !! What an amaing book !! Thank goodness our WONDERFUL Merry told me about it or I might never have had the pleasure of reading it.

Made - I am so glad your cold is better !! UGH A cough is not so pleasant though, hope that goes away as well.

Xmas - I know what you mean about tall grass !! When our little ones go out it is almost like they are in a jungle at times :lol:

I am just biding my time until I call the vet to see how the EKG went for Wishie. He is still there and I miss him.....Poor little guy still needs his dinner !!
