I love this kitten too cute!!!

I get to trap a cat today! We have a stray female cat that will be picked up today to get fixed. There is a non profit organization here that helps out with the stray cat population problem. We have already had 6 cats picked up. They neuter them, get their shots and release them back.

We have one cat left to be trapped. We call her, Mama, simple name but having kittens is what she does best and she keeps having them! She is the only one that is leery of everything and will not come near people. We were afraid we would never get her trapped. I set up the trap yesterday and we kept trapping the ones that have already been fixed. We would release them and FINALLY Mama walked right into the trap, ate all the food in there and WALKED BACK OUT! The trap door was stuck! At least I know she is not scared of it and I am going to attempt it again today.

They are strays but my neighbor and I take care of them, feed them, give them water and medicine if they need it. I have 2 cats of my own but they always stay inside.

Wish me luck!!!!!

Have a blessed day everyone. Prayers are with those who suffered the tragedy of 9/11.

Bless your heart Christmas-A-Holic - what a lovely thing to do and for no reason at all, that is so sweet.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be a warm one today here in central Indy. Tomorrow they are showing a high of 90 and then Wednesday we start to cool off again. It seems like I didn't get anything done last week so I need to get in gear and get some stuff done. So I guess it's time to turn on the Christmas music and get to it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC,
I will have a long long Day with a lot of things to do and to think about.
I got up to early for this long day. I have a bad cough. So I could not sleep long
My stepdaughter is moving about 400 miles away to the University. She is starting to study biotechnology. And so I have a lot to do. We are driving tonight with a car trailer. and it will be very exhausting.

Hope you're feeling better and good luck to your stepdaughter!!!

Good afternoon,

Lazy day here, I wish I could take nap, but the demons, err I mean children will not allow that. I am watching the free preview day of NFL Redzone, as a Bengals fan it is the only way I can watch some of their game in Patriotland. We did go to Walmart this morning, scouted the toy department for Christmas gifts for the boys, I think we have great ideas for LC now, just can't wait for the layaway to start now, just need to see if Kmart has the same toys to see if we could do layaway now.

Enjoy your games and day!

Go Bengals!

OMG!!! I almost choked on my preztels when I read the part about the errrr children!!! I totally did not expect that one!!!

Good Morning, My Christmas Anticipating Friends.
...
I'm really starting to look forward to the opening of "A Christmas To Remember" in Crabtree Valley Mall. It should be here within the next 2 weeks!
I'll snap a photo at that point and post it to launch the Christmas Blossoms 2011 thread.
We are all "anticipating" the start of the Christmas Blossoms 2011 thread!

A culinary question:

Canada's smallest province is Prince Edward Island, best
known as the home of "Anne of Green Gables", but what is it's
major crop?

Even though they are further North then Long Island I will venture to say Potatoes as that was Long Islands number one crop we have the perfect environment for them, although they are a hardy veggie, but I will stick to that???:-o Am I right teacher... OOOOOOOO please pick me, pick me!!!!!

Seawaters- the answer to your question would be POTATOES. It was and still is the highest grossing agricultural crop on PEI.

Good morning all you Christmas Kookies. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

YAY!!!! I WAS RIGHT!!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!! So glad I listen in some of my classes!!!! :wiggy:

And with this post, HollyJells is the winner!!! And for her efforts, she gets a little more info:

Every Stompin' Tom fan knows that PEI is the home of Bud the Spud. PEI's rich, red soil produces fine potatoes, and who doesn't like potatoes? You can boil 'em, steam 'em, roast 'em, bake 'em, fry 'em, deep-fry 'em and serve them mashed, hashed, sliced, diced, whipped, in soup or salad, a la Lyonnaise or Duchess-style and so on and so on. You can even make pancakes, bread, cakes, doughnuts, and scones
with the humble potato.

One other thing my Nana's homemade vodka!!! WOW, now you wanna talk about some Mid-western moon shine!!!! Wooo Hooo!!! Knock your socks off and I am NOT kidding!!! Tee Hee...

When I was younger (and maybe not soooo sweet) I would "challange" some to a drinking match, let's say if you didn't grow up on it - you couldn't do many!!! Tee Hee!!!!

Whew!! That took a while!!! I missed a lot over the weekend.

I have to admit I didn't watch anything on the 9/11 cerimonies, I just couldn't. At church we had a moment of silence and we had a few special prays. It felt good.

As for football, well I knew this year would be tough but I didn't realize this tough!!! OMG can SOMEBODY teach that nit-wit how to throw a FOOTBALL!!! Ugh, com'on Eli you have been in the league for 7 years now!!! And he thinks he is as good as some other QB's please!!! OK enough yelling at Eli, now for the Cow-pokes... Yeah I'll say it, Cow-pokes!!! What the 1st time in HISTORY a Giant fan routes for you and you LOSE!!! You let those Jets win!!! How could you do that... Ugh I just feel like this is going to be one long season!!!

I am getting ready for my vacation next week to Maine, I have been getting ready and planning this trip for a while now and I am super excited. We are going to take the Ferry to New London CT and drive the rest of the way, it is estimated as a 7 hour drive from that point, I just LOVE car trips and haven't had one in a very long time!

Good morning!!! It has been almost a week since I have made it here! What the heck?!?!? Hope everyone is doing great!!!

Some day I will get to PEI & check out the taters for myself! My brother is building a house there - S-L-O-W-L-Y - building a house there! In his "free" time! Sounds like an excellent vacation spot for family!

14 more Mondays til Christmas? Seriously? WOW! That makes it sound SO close! LOVE IT!!!

Went to Ben Franklin yesterday.... they have some pretty cool Christmas things out! So fun browsing!

Stay safe Shellie!

Make it a great day everybody!!!

Happy Monday everyone! It was a relaxing weekend for us; not much to do. We had a special service for 9-11 at Church yesterday, and we lit some candles and lined them up in front of the garden last night. I remembered that in the days just after 9-11, the people in our neighborhood had candles lit in their yards, so I thought I would do it for the anniversary. The rain held off until 10pm, which was nice, so that the candles could stay lit for the evening.

Good morning, everyone!

It seems that I took a week off from posting last week. Job hunting does take a lot out of you...

Barely more than half a week away from the 100 Days to Christmas Milestone? That is fantastic! I must admit I thought of MMC a couple times over the weekend.

We had a tournament in Rochester, New York on Saturday and Sunday. On the way there, we passed The Christmas Tree Shoppe in Syracuse. Now, I have been to and through Syracuse numerous times, but never to this store. There are a few of them throughout the US, but very little online information exists about them. Has anyone had the pleasure of visiting one of these stores?

Overall, the tournament was fun. Somewhat of a success - enough that we qualified to go to Boston next month and play in the Northeast Regionals. It should be a fun time!

Although it is September, the weather is still beautiful! The sun is shining today. Some leaves are falling, but most are still very green. I guess that may change within the next few weeks. I'll be sure to take some photos as soon as the colour changes.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I must go make some lunch and hope to get a phone call for a job today or at least sometime this week!

hey everyone.....for whatever reason....lol....I havent posted in here at lot in the last two weeks.....so here s a update....my boyfriend is in Finland for the graduation of his niece.....yesterday was a good and sad day....good...cos I found some cute things on the fleas market....bad for obvious reasons....September 11th still seems so close....it feels like it was yesterday.....besides my days of depression after child-birth and the weeks spend in a clinic.....September 11th was the worst day of my life....I choked up again several times yesterday....my five-year old Kandice asked me why the towers are burning...so I tried to explain it as easy as possible....just as I did with Hitler....the older she gets the more I will go into detail about it...of course now she is too little and it would be way to disturbing for her

plus....I caught the worst bronchitis I had in years....my chest and back hurt from all the coughin....I went to work in the morning....did my route and when I came back, my bosses said I should go home for the week and rest and recover......at least they saw I tried......and I did since last
Tuesday...that is when the cold started.....inhaling, drinking, tea, vick s vapor and on....nothing worked....now I am on antibiotics and hope to recover quick
