We had a tournament in Rochester, New York on Saturday and Sunday. On the way there, we passed The Christmas Tree Shoppe in Syracuse. Now, I have been to and through Syracuse numerous times, but never to this store. There are a few of them throughout the US, but very little online information exists about them. Has anyone had the pleasure of visiting one of these stores?

I went to one back in june and was disappointed that they didn't have any christmas stuff out. I have been told that they get some nice stuff closer to christmas.

Good morning, everyone!

It seems that I took a week off from posting last week. Job hunting does take a lot out of you...
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I must go make some lunch and hope to get a phone call for a job today or at least sometime this week!

I know what you mean.. Job hunting is exhausting! after a week of doing it.. my mind was frazzled!

plus....I caught the worst bronchitis I had in years....my chest and back hurt from all the coughin....I went to work in the morning....did my route and when I came back, my bosses said I should go home for the week and rest and recover......at least they saw I tried......and I did since last
Tuesday...that is when the cold started.....inhaling, drinking, tea, vick s vapor and on....nothing worked....now I am on antibiotics and hope to recover quick

I hope you start to feel better soon.:sparkle:

Oh snap!! I just realized I'm almost at 1000 posts!!:???:

Hope everyones day is going well so far! Mine is going pretty good, called Walmart today to see how my "interview process" is going. Diane (from personnel) said everything looks great, just waiting for one more reference and that she would contact me later this afternoon and let me know what time my third and final interview was on Thursday. It sounds like I got the job, but I don't want to jump to any conclusions just yet...

Have a merry day! I'll be back lataaaaa:hi:

I was too. I went in and really thought there would be Christmas things and well, to me it was like going into a Bed, Bath, & Beyond store, nothing wrong with that I just was SO let down... Here is the Link to there web site Brent -

Yes, we have one in our neighborhood! As lauriebear found, in spite of its name, it's not a year-round Christmas store---it has lots of seasonal stuff relating to the current season. It's mostly a bargain basement. You can get some good discounted brand-name and bargain items there, but they also have their share of cheap junk. (I bought a watering can for $1.97 for my indoor plants and it leaked badly from the bottom seam! Had to throw it out.) It's a fun place to poke around in, at least our local one is. I can usually get some varieties of Twining's tea there for less than supermarket price.

Ooh, that's awful. I'm in your shoes a couple times a year, so I sympathize. Keep up with the fluids and get lots of rest.

Overall, the tournament was fun. Somewhat of a success - enough that we qualified to go to Boston next month and play in the Northeast Regionals. It should be a fun time!
Congrats on making the regionals! cheesy

Evening all!

Bad Friday at work. Good Saturday and Sunday. Back on Monday! Sheesh. heh. Oh well. Not much new with us. We need to replace the front steps on our deck. That will be done this weekend. We purchased a new mattress! That's coming this Sunday. Can't wait. Well back to work I go. Just checking in and saying hi. I'm having an interview for a job. Please throw prayers my way, I need a break! Thanks all!
