My niece has been here less than an hour and my apartment is trashed. I really don't know why I spent the last 2 days cleaning it.

Thanks for all the prayers and kind words for my brother's girlfriend.

She had both breasts removed yesterday, and, unfortunately, they found more cancer in her lymph nodes. They are planned to start agressive chemo and radiation in a couple weeks. She's in great spirits, and she's ready to fight. Good for her!

I will keep her in my thoughts. Having a good attitude will help her so much!!

I hope you are all having a great afternoon! My day has been pretty good. I was cleaning out my basement closet last night with my Hubby and he told me until we get rid of a few things I cant buy anymore Christmas gifts :-? guess I need to get cleaning this weekend to decide on a few things to get rid of! Today is my wedding anniversary.. went to lunch with my Hubby on my lunch break. He is making steak for dinner..yum yum!

Elexis (my daughter) turns 2 tomorrow. I can't believe it. It justs seems like she was born yesterday. She's growing up wayyyy to fast. Well, I'm going to keep reading the forums. Greetings all! I hope everyone is doing well and to those who aren't - I hope you're better soon!!!

I went dress shopping yesterday and today and found some amazing dresses. Too bad they are all a bit out of my price range (especially the ones today, unfortunately they are the first two dresses that I've used the word "love" toward...sigh). So the search continues!

Travis and I also went to visit a second ceremony/reception venue Monday. It was a great place, very modern and unique, but at $135/plate, it was just SO far off from our budget. We went back to the first place we visited today and brought along both sets of parents. We were afraid that the price ($67.50/plate) would still be a little high for them, but everyone loved it and we think we're going to book it. It's...surreal to think we're actually going to book a place to get MARRIED!!! We still have a week to think it over, but we're almost positive this is what we're going to do. Especially since the parents are all on board...it just makes it so much easier! We don't even know yet if we're going to have any financial help. but we can afford it so I guess that's all that matters, right? On the subject of tattoo.s i have one sorry half a one !
About 10 years ago(young and stupid,still young not so stupid now ) i started to get one on the back of my neck..but no one told me that the needle wood be going at about 100 mile a minute
omg. I CANT HANDLE NEEDLES. should have known better..
The 1st time i fainted.. the 2nd time i fainted.. the 3rd time the guy doing it wont not do any more.
So now i have a heart on the back of my neck well between my shoulders actually that is half filled in with a kinda design round it. people ask me what it is. i just say that i will colour the rest in when i meet someone that takes my heart away.(load of crap but i have to say something)
Anyway how is everyone doing. hope everyone is doing what they need to do to have peace of time.
Not busy to day i hope think 3 hours will sort out what is needed for the shop
The girls in the shop are telling me that people are asking when the christmas stuff and toys are going out. usually i dont do it to about the last week in oct. but dont no, might put a few items out about middle of oct
Must go and get a cuppa..

I knew I would more than likely have time online I just did not want to make any promises. this one has been so different from Iraq or Afganistan. I've never been deployed to a peacetime region before now. The first two months were rough as far as work goes,double shifts and the like, but the last month has been like an 8 hour day almost!! anyway sooo glad to have time to be here,and I will be here 24/7 when i get home(well minus the 8 hour work day,and the first week after I get back!!!)

I heard the word "frost" in the weather report this morning! Not where I live but in other parts a bit more north of here. (near Barrie)
It has been really chilly here at night...I need to get out and clean out my flower beds. A real fall feel today! Only going up to 13c today.

Good evening, Christmas friends. I had to leave early for my first of four appointments today. Speaking of tatoos, I felt like I got a LOT of them today at my first appointment. The dermatologist zapped LOTS of benign thingies on my face. I thought I was really going to cry. About half were zapped with heat that felt like bacon grease splattering on my face, only splattering at great length. Then the other half were zapped through cryosurgery: quick-freezing with liquid nitrogen. Talk about PAIN!!! If tatoos feel like that, then I am not getting one!!! Oh, wait. I wasn't going to get one anyway! After that, I went to another doctor about my cold/sinus infection. My head is still bursting, but at least I am on antibiotics now. Then I went to the eye doctor who set up surgery for my eyelids. That should happen pretty soon. Then I went to the plastic surgeon to set up a face-tightening, wattle-removing surgery for December 14. I have to be out of school that whole week, plus another week of recuperating. Then, on my way to pick up the antibiotics, I stopped by my hair dresser's to set up an appointment to get my hair colored. Okay, now what is new with y'all???

Wowee! That's a lot of doctors visits! With all that plastic surgery and hair-fixin's, are we going to recognize you at the Pines?!?

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

The air is filled with smoke this morning (It was yesterday, too) from a wildfire in the Okeefenokee Swamp. The fire is about 90 miles from here, so I can imagine what the people who live closer to it have to breathe. Terrible!

I did a little work on my sign rental business yesterday afternoon, then I hopped in the pool to vacuum it. We have one of those Polaris automatic vacuums, but I kinda enjoy standing in the water and cleaning it manually. Any excuse to get in the pool, eh?

Good morning all!!! Going to be sort of busy today. I start clearing stuff out for fall cleaning and also thinking about doing the grocery shopping today IF I can get the coupons I need clipped soon enough (yea I know I should do that now instead of sitting on my getting smaller tushie in front of the puter). I have a support group meeting tonight which should be interesting since several people there have not seen mesince I had my WLS, so far 32 pounds down and slipping more each day. Just going to have to remember to take some safety pins LOL or wear a dress. And WOW 100 days to go....... I really should start my christmas shopping soon or it is gunna be another year of rushing to get things done and not really enjoying myself. Well off to get a walk in before I come back to clip coupons. Have a good day all!!!!:dance:

All through the USA you can get the flu shot at many different grocery stores and pharmacies. I guess it does sound silly if you are not use to seeing them at places like that. =)

Many of the Wal-Marts have pharmacies, and they offer the flu shot, along with other drug/department stores like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. We'll probably get our flu shots this weekend.

I still have a bad cough and they are giving me some weak stuff that is not working...so I asked for the hydromet I had for my bronchitis last year(dang it I should have brought it from home)and all the Dr did was laugh and shake his head

Why did he do that? Did he think you were trying to get a quick shot of narcotics? It's rotten that he won't prescribe something that will actually control the cough.
