My daughter was crying last night and said they thought that tv was stable enough on the dresser. She said the tv is sitting on the floor now! She also checked all over the house for anything else that needed to be anchored or moved.

I did not sleep well at all last night thinking what "could" have happened. It's so good to see her today happy and smiling!

Please!!! If anyone has one of those old tv sets on something unstable remove it and keep it on the floor! Kids can die from this and my granddaughter is VERY LUCKY! When my kids were little their tv stayed on the floor because I feared this very same thing.

So sorry, I am glad she is going to be OK, you can never be too careful I guess where little ones are concerned.

Good Thisty Thursday morning!! It is COLD out there!! Sun is shining but it's a big tease! I just walked out to get the mail & Brrrrrr!! cold & windy!!! Thermometer said 43º this morning!

Good evening, Christmas friends. I had to leave early for my first of four appointments today. Speaking of tatoos, I felt like I got a LOT of them today at my first appointment. The dermatologist zapped LOTS of benign thingies on my face. I thought I was really going to cry. About half were zapped with heat that felt like bacon grease splattering on my face, only splattering at great length. Then the other half were zapped through cryosurgery: quick-freezing with liquid nitrogen. Talk about PAIN!!! If tatoos feel like that, then I am not getting one!!! Oh, wait. I wasn't going to get one anyway! After that, I went to another doctor about my cold/sinus infection. My head is still bursting, but at least I am on antibiotics now. Then I went to the eye doctor who set up surgery for my eyelids. That should happen pretty soon. Then I went to the plastic surgeon to set up a face-tightening, wattle-removing surgery for December 14. I have to be out of school that whole week, plus another week of recuperating. Then, on my way to pick up the antibiotics, I stopped by my hair dresser's to set up an appointment to get my hair colored. Okay, now what is new with y'all???

Wow Seawaters !!! You were in super-overdrive yesterday !!! You were beautiful before all this and you will be beautiful after but I wish I could get face-tightening too !! The commercial for LifeStyle Lift comes on and I watch it, mouth gaping like a kid watching a toy commercial !!:-D

Carl did not recognize with all of these zippedy do dahs on my face and neck. But when he heard my voice, he was so hospitable and concerned. Good ole Carl. Hmmm. Was he right when he said that camel spit is a cure all for face thingys?

Absolutely !! Camels are magic !! At least Carl is !!

I hope you get to feeling better soon man, I hope the flu season is not going to be too bad this year!!!


Oh the meds,the wonderful WONDERFUl meds!(rubbing my hands together with a sinister look on my face) actually I still have a bad cough and they are giving me some weak stuff that is not working...so I asked for the hydromet I had for my bronchitis last year(dang it I should have brought it from home)and all the Dr did was laugh and shake his head

Hope you feel better Dawg !! Isn't that JUST LIKE the military ??? You tell them you need something and they say no.....geez......

I knew I would more than likely have time online I just did not want to make any promises. this one has been so different from Iraq or Afganistan. I've never been deployed to a peacetime region before now. The first two months were rough as far as work goes,double shifts and the like, but the last month has been like an 8 hour day almost!! anyway sooo glad to have time to be here,and I will be here 24/7 when i get home(well minus the 8 hour work day,and the first week after I get back!!!)

Today is again my Friday. I can't wait to be finished tonight. It has been a very rough week. Oh well. At least its my Friday !

I am planning on trying to get out my Fall/Halloween stuff out this weekend !!

This was actually dictated by a physician...."The CT scan of the patient's head showed NOTHING......"

This physician MUST have been looking at my CT scan.......:-D

Why did he do that? Did he think you were trying to get a quick shot of narcotics? It's rotten that he won't prescribe something that will actually control the cough.

That would be my guess,as he said he would not prescribe anything under a schedule 3 drug unless it was for actual pain or the DEA would be breathing down his neck.

Hey Christmas buddies! I had the best night's sleep last night. I did not even wake up once! I have not been able to do that in recent memory! anyhow it's plain cold outside today...47F here in Bosnia that is cold if you ask me! it's 70f back at home so I guess I need to get use to warmer temps again! 13 days left!!have a good one everyone!

Good morning all!!! Going to be sort of busy today. I start clearing stuff out for fall cleaning and also thinking about doing the grocery shopping today IF I can get the coupons I need clipped soon enough (yea I know I should do that now instead of sitting on my getting smaller tushie in front of the puter). I have a support group meeting tonight which should be interesting since several people there have not seen mesince I had my WLS, so far 32 pounds down and slipping more each day. Just going to have to remember to take some safety pins LOL or wear a dress. And WOW 100 days to go....... I really should start my christmas shopping soon or it is gunna be another year of rushing to get things done and not really enjoying myself. Well off to get a walk in before I come back to clip coupons. Have a good day all!!!!:dance:

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!
The air is filled with smoke this morning (It was yesterday, too) from a wildfire in the Okeefenokee Swamp. The fire is about 90 miles from here, so I can imagine what the people who live closer to it have to breathe. Terrible!

I did a little work on my sign rental business yesterday afternoon, then I hopped in the pool to vacuum it. We have one of those Polaris automatic vacuums, but I kinda enjoy standing in the water and cleaning it manually. Any excuse to get in the pool, eh?
