Christmas Countdown - 2011

Hello all. =)

I forgot to mention in my post yesterday that my Kohl's store put up our Christmas Shop on Tuesday! I've been looking around and trying not to buy (doing well on that front so far!) but they've got some great stuff! I'll be working at Hallmark tonight for the first time in 3 weeks, so I'll get to see if they have any other Christmas stuff out other than ornaments at this point! I know it's going to be really bad for me at Kohl's next weekend...we have an extra associate discount and I know the Christmas Shop will be begging me to buy something, lol!

Anyway, off to Hallmark...have a great night, everyone! (I wanted to find a penguin smiley to put here, but I can't find one! Sadness!)

Im going to Kohls tomorrow night. Hoping our Kohls also has started with their Christmas items :grin:

OK time for the Christmas Angel update:... I cannot believe it is happening it is so - well I don't know what to write but I think you know how I feel!!!! YAY!!!!

Thanks for the update! I'm excited about it and I'm not even there! But I feel like the book is my adopted baby. Sounds like it's well on its way. Keep us posted!

A restful day here so far, I do have to pick up the boys in a few minutes. It is raining here now, with a cold front moving through later, tomorrow will be a good day to pop a pot roast into the crock pot and let it cook all day. mmmmmm.

I just got a new slow cooker, but haven't tried it out yet. You're making me hungry for a crockpot full of dinner! With the cooler nights coming on, I should give the new one a whirl.

I think I may have found something to do this weekend. The Boston Bruins training camp opens tomorrow, and they will be having open practices for the public for free at the TD Garden on Saturday & Sunday, I wonder if I can talk my wife and boys into going into Boston on Sunday morning to go see the Stanley Cup Champs practice and maybe get a few autographs for the boys.

Hey everyone I just got emails from last spring me and brandi spring cleaning my yard! I know I know...big deal.lol but its great seeing home after all this time! I've downloaded them here http://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/album.php?albumid=611

I've noticed 2 things I really am gettting a middle age spread..and you can really tell the difference in our ages and she even looks younger than she is(she is legal)...her students loook as old as her and she hates that right now...anyhow have a great night everyone!

I'm going to try and resist the urge to get in my truck and head to ours. I have done really good this year and not bought a whole lot of new stuff but I always love Kohl's Christmas section.

I went to Kohl's on my lunch break & got super excited too!! I collect their St. Nicholas Square Village. I practically ran over other customers on the way to the back of the store trying to scope out the new 2011 pieces! They're still setting everything up, so I'll have to go back tomorrow to see what else is out

I was in a Kohl's in Vermont at the end of August and they were already putting it up there too!

Well my fall decorations are out. I don't have much. Just some garland to go above my kitchen cabinets, a centerpiece for the table, some grapevine pumpkins on my entertainment center, and an autumn sign for the front door. Maybe I'll pick up a few more things this year.

Word of warning to anyone with small children.

My granddaughter had to go to the hospital last night because a tv set fell on her. She is ok and very silly and happy today! THANK GOD!

My 2 year old granddaughter tried to climb up a dresser in her brother's room to turn on the tv and it came down on her pinning her leg down. It also caught her eye which is swelled up today. It happened so fast, her dad was in the same room with her picking clothes up to be washed.

My daughter was crying last night and said they thought that tv was stable enough on the dresser. She said the tv is sitting on the floor now! She also checked all over the house for anything else that needed to be anchored or moved.

I did not sleep well at all last night thinking what "could" have happened. It's so good to see her today happy and smiling!

Please!!! If anyone has one of those old tv sets on something unstable remove it and keep it on the floor! Kids can die from this and my granddaughter is VERY LUCKY! When my kids were little their tv stayed on the floor because I feared this very same thing.

I'm so glad to hear you granddaughter is okay! I'm sure that was very scary for everyone involved. My husband has anchored all the things to the wall in our home that could potentially be pulled down by our children. I worry about these things too! Again, so glad to hear she is okay!

Good morning,

I nearly got 10 hours of sleep last night, plus the 3 hour nap in the morning, and a few catnaps throughout the day yesterday, I may have approached Crown for the amount of sleep in one day. I rarely get 7 hours of sleep a night so this is all new to me. I still feel blah, but just trying to relax and take it easy today. Hopefully I can get back to work tomorrow, I hate calling out especially when the weekend order is due, I hope someone picked up the slack and placed the order. 10 more days until Kmart and Sears have their decor up (according to the paper) I can't wait to see it all, I love Kmart's decorations.

Good evening,

Still feeling lousy, I will be staying home again tomorrow. We had to run to my aunt's house this evening, it is finally being torn down nearly 4 months after the tornado, she wants to give us some doors from her house since we need to replace some here. It is so eerie being in a mostly destroyed house when it is getting dark. Time for sleep.
