Oh..my...goodness..
Who knew squishing your finger with metal could hurt so bad hahaha

Today I woke up, feeling pretty nifty. Figured awe heck I can go to work.. well i lasted 3.5 hours, had to take some painkillers. thumb is bruised.. and still kinda swollen.. but the aching..oh the aching all the way up my arm is horrible! feels like a toothache! I am able to type.. but I can't hold onto things, my hand has become weak, and because of where the bruising is..it is very painful for me to grab onto things... even putting my hair up in a ponytail hurts:( However, besides my pain in the butt thumb.. I feel GREAT! I was the butt of quite a few jokes at work today, people poking fun at my clumsiness. (the steel lid fell out of my hand.. that's how it fell onto my thumb).
I am thinking I might have a nap.. But I haven't totally decided yet ha-ha.

Also, Never heard back from Walmart. I did call them about a week ago.. and The woman in personnel said she was talking to the manager about a good time to set up interview #3 and when i would start orientation... she said shed call back later that afternoon, but never did. I Don't want to call again, in the meer aspect that I don't want to come across desperate hahaha I have already called 3 times. Part of me thinks they are stringing me along, perhaps they already hired someone and if they don't work out, I'm available. Then the other part of me thinks that It is their anniversary week sale.. and they're super busy, so perhaps they haven't had time to discuss a good day for my final interview. Blah who knows!! all I know is.. I over-think stuff way too much.. and wish they'd keep me informed of what was going on!:point:

It's a good night! I had an awesome workout at the gym and now, I'm watching the NHL's first game back in Winnipeg!... Well, streaming the game. Great to see NHL hockey return to Manitoba!

Here in Texas I have heard a lot of people call all carbonated beverages, coke!

Would you like a coke?

Sure, what kind do you have?

Pepsi, Root Beer, 7-Up (sometimes no mention of Coca Cola at all).

I was guilty of that myself until I realized how silly it sounded!

I've always found this incredibly strange, too. It's like calling every restaurant McDonald's...

It's great to see the Jets back, I was a little disappointed by the logo and jerseys. I guess I am partial to the Teemu Selanne, Keith Tkachuk era jerseys.

Thinking of you, your niece, and your family. Honesty is always the best policy. I had a kiddo two years ago who had cystic fribrosis, which had just been diagnosed (3rd grade), so Mom and I thought it was best to educate the kids. Good luck to your niece!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! It is going to be around 80 degrees here today in central Indy. The air conditioner may have to be plugged back in while I'm running the dryer. I never menetioned it on here before but my niece in seattle has been battling juvenile idiopathic arthritis for the last year and an half. She has been on countless medicinies and nothing seems to help her. It has actually spread from just her knees to 12 joints now. She had been taking weekly shots of Methotrexate and Enbrel for the last month but they haven't seemed to help her either. So they did an mri of her knees last week and it showed the inflamation was far worse than anyone had thought. So they have decided to give her infusions of remicaide starting today. We are praying this finally helps her becuase she has been through a lot for a 7 year old. It's espically been hard on her at school. She can't do PE most weeks and she really can't play during recess. Her teachers have been great but the other kids just don't understand why she can't do things. Well I have some work to do so I'm off to get things done. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening,

I just want to start by saying the chicken in the crock pot experiment was awesome, it is the best chicken I ever had. I posted the recipe in the recipe section threads. It was so juicy and flavorful, it didn't need gravy. Enough about that, I am watching day 2 of DWTS, I've had enough of it already. cheesy Getting sleepy, late shift tomorrow, but it is Pines night!

Have a great night fellow Chritmas'ers

And with this post, MerryCarey is poster 19,800. All I can say is, "Wow!" For her efforts, MC wins a notary stamp for all her legal papers!!!! Sheesh! Less than 1,200 posts to reach our goal of 20,000. Any bets on the actual day??? How about the actual poster???

Made, my heart goes out to your brave little niece.

Gray, damp, and chilly today ... rather matches my mood, as I'm preoccupied with legal matters. And I haven't had my morning tea yet.

Just a reminder that Merry Podcast #10 is out! Please give it a listen!

Been there, done that. On Christmas Eve, 2007, my second son was diagnosed with leukemia. He was med-evac-ed to UC San Francisco. It was the worst day and worst Christmas season of my life. One good thing to remember is that our God is an awesome God!!! There is always a valuable life lesson to be learned in situations like these.

...but I too have found myself in search of comforting words and the attention of God's ear. We had bad news yesterday my friends little boy, age7, found out he has Leukaemia and has to start treatment next week. Its hit us hard as our boys play together and its going to be hard going for the family over the next weeks/months/years. I can't imagine feeling what they are as what I personally feel right now is terrible so it must be magnified for them. He's in hospital at the moment and the kids from his class all took gifts up of magazines etc to cheer him up. He will definitely be in my prayers and thoughts each day as will the family.

Also some news for my UK friends check out this weather report just posted http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...now-forecast-parts-Britain-early-October.html
Fingers crossed they got it wrong as the UK can't deal with that type of weather!

Best wishes to you all.
Naomi

Oh, me too. I really enjoyed those jerseys. Despite the logo, the jerseys actually look really good on the ice.

That is too funny! I never thought of it that way.

I am use to all soda's being called coke by others but I call it "soda". =)

I can totally understand calling it "soda." I have qualms with that at all.

Haven't seen them on ice yet, I'll have to check out NHL Network in the morning.

Good idea! They're no black and gold, but they work!

Glad you had fun at the concert! I love 3 Doors Down. I've been to two of their concerts. One of their's I was right on the floor and I stood right at the stage the whole entire time - it was awesome. Anyway, as for Penn State, the game was horrible to listen to - I couldn't watch because we had my daughter's birthday party and we put a radio outside and listened to it. We should have brought a tv out, but didn't. At least they won in the end!!!

Yeah, they were great, I'd see them again! As for Penn State...I just wish they'd pick a QB and stick with them! It's frustrating for fans and probably the entire team to be switching QB's every single play!!! I can't imagine how much better they'd be playing if they just picked someone!!! ARGH! I could go on all day about this but I'll spare you all. :)

I'm not going to complain about the rain this weekend. It's hitting us here in Indy and it's a nice light soaking rain. Just what we needed. It's also helping to hide all of the tears that are being shed after the colts lost again yesterday.

I cried too, made. I just don't understand...something needs to be done FAST! I can't take a losing Colts season!

Well today has started with a bang... Dropped a solid steel pressure cooker lid on my thumb... Currently in the waiting room at the hospital in emerge. It's super sore and swollen but I think it's just bruised..

So sorry to hear about this! Hope you are doing better and your finger is okay!

I am finally caught up!!! Anyway, today was a VERY busy day for me! My husband and I are taking the kids camping until either Thursday or Friday depending on the weather, so I packed all day and baked a banana nut bread to take along. I also cooked a chicken pot pie for dinner, all with two screaming kids all day by myself since my hubby was doing running around. It was an interesting day, let me tell you. I give credit to the stay at home moms and dads. I could never do that everyday! I would go crazy. I need a break everyonce in a while. (Sorry, but it's true. Even though I don't want to go back to work and I do LOVE my kids, it's nice for a break). So anyway, I obviously won't have interent there. I soon will be getting an Iphone, which will be so nice because I can then get on the internet on my phone whenever I want and check my posts on here! So...I will be behind AGAIN, but that is life. I am looking foward to spending the next few days with my family. "Talk" to you all at the end of the week. Have a nice week, everyone!

Have a great time!

Hey all! Quick note. Need prayers for a friend at work. His Mother has cancer that has spread. She wont make it but Ill need some prayers to help her have as little as pain as possible when she passes to see the Lord.

I am having an ok day. I heard back from TD. I have another phone interview with them. Just waiting to hear back the time, I have to work around my work schedule. They have a Crush pop out for Halloween. Dracula is on the front and its called Blood Cherry. Very good. Well back to work I go. Hope everyone is having a good day and I REALLY need the pines tomorrow!!!

I will keep your friend's mother in my thoughts, and I hope you hear back about the job!!!

You guys always get my prayers and undrtakr I'm sending them onto your friend right now, but I too have found myself in search of comforting words and the attention of God's ear. When I was growing up in the South, we mostly called it Co-coler or dope; yes, dope! Sometimes we would call it sody dope!! Yankees called it pop. Now I call it soda or pop or by its brand name! No more dope for me!!!

I was a bad girl this evening. Hubby is out of town until tomorrow. I turned the AC up so it is cold and then took a hot shower!!! It felt like late fall, early winter. Well, I am just tired of the heat. Just remember that what happens on the Forum, stays on the Forum!!!
