Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good evening, Christmas family !!

Last night I was about to lose my mind ! Right before I finished work, I had dictations by not only the King of Dr. Goobers but also the Queen ! UGH !!! And they say heavy metal is hard to understand !!!

A wonderful beginning of Autumn day today. It rained most of the morning here but had some things to do and headed out anyway !

I hadn't noticed that the leaves are changing so much !! We ran most of the morning and even went to Wal-Mart and they are putting out their Christmas stuff ( Hoorah !!)

After I got home I put out my Fall /Halloween stuff in the house. Now the mantle is adorned once again with lit Christmas garland and tons of Halloween figures (The season I call Christween !!!)

Tomorrow I am planning on going to Donzell's Fall Festival with my sister and maybe Hobby Lobby !! (I hope !)

Not on the porch but there is plenty of room in the yard. I'll run to the orchard and get some more cider. The store doesn't close for another 15 minutes. Make sure to bring your coats. It's a bit chilly out here.

Well my friends... Today has been a long day... I got to work at 3.. And fell violently I'll. Puking, vertigo the whole nines.. I was sent home and couldn't keep anything down, including water and gravol. Aaron decided to take me too the hospital around six as I was becoming weak and unable to comprehend things..
Since then I have had xrays on my abdomin, two bouts of bloodwork and 2 bags if Iv laced with gravol and some other stuff I can't pronounce.. Through my bloodwork they found that my white cells are very high so they have admitted me for overnight. I have also been isolated to my room they are checking too see if I have an infection in my blood... Here's to hoping I don't!!!

Long day at work, had to sit in a meeting for over 90 minutes today, it was so hard to stay focused. One more day until a day off, then we will be doing our autumn ritual of making our pilgrimage to the orchard with the whole family to go apple picking and cider donuts. Fall is here! Finally!

Good Thursday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

We have some good news: Bernie has been released from the hospital and is doing great! Apparently, he had a serious bladder infection that was playing havoc with his whole system. After some IV antibiotics and fluids, he's doing well. Hilda is starting to improve, too, so things are looking up! Thanks again for all the prayers!

I'll be glad to have my wife back home. She's been staying with her parents every night since this all started. I just don't sleep well when she's not there.

That's great to hear that everyone is starting to feel better! I am sure it is hard everyone involved, especially the caregivers, so I am glad for you too, that your wife will be back around to be with you.

No unfortunately I do not have any gluten free cookie recipes YET. But I think I know where to find some, I just have to remember who made the last batch I had (last year). I used to be able to eat stuff like that then within the past year or so I started feeling wonky after eating stuff made with regular flour. LOL I am ok with it though. :merry:

Aww...Thanks Sugar !! I am feeling much better !! I think I was using too much of my inhaler !! Lightheadness is one of the first side effects mentioned that it can cause !!! Ivy is holding her own. As long as she is not on her leg a long time and rests she is fine !!! Glad you are back !!!! xo

Great to hear about the both of you! I never even thought about that when you said you where having lightheadness. Meds can have so many side effects - it's crazy. I remember when taking my inhalers as well, I would get that way. Glad your feeling better! Thanks - I am glad to be back - almost caught up!!! XO

I feel better today, still have the sneezing going on but not so much. Might change though because now I have a tightness in my chest that signals the first chest cold of the season- but I will be fine.

Good evening, MMC friends! My family and I are back from a wonderful week of camping and I am FINALLY caught up on the thread. It's not easy to do that, which I am sure you all know. I see that we've met our goal of 20,000 posts while I was gone, plus, today was the first day of fall, so bring on the season!

My family and I had such a great week. We had campfires, went on walks, my daughter got to feed the ducks several times, but most of all, we got to just sit and spend time together, which was the best part.

My husband heads back to work in the am. He's been off for 18 weeks - I am sad to see him go back. I know he has to go back at some point, but some days I just wish he could always be home. I'm very lucky he's home as much as he is though! He was off for so long because he had tore a ligament in his foot while he was at a motor vehicle accident at work and a couple days before he was to go back, I went into labor, so then he got to be off because of the baby. I go back to work Sunday night at 11p. So excited (not). We've had a lot of changes there - new electronic charting and med dispensing electronically since I've been off, so there is going to be a lot for me to learn and catch up on once I get back.

Tomorrow, the kids and I are headed up to my husband's home town for the Potatofest. It's a very nice sized fall festival that we go to ever year. The fire deparment in town also holds a wine tasting that I plan on going to with my sister-in-law, while my mother-in-law watches the kids for me for a little while.

Well, sorry for ranting on. Hope everyone has had a good past couple of days. Have a great day tomorrow.

Thanks! I appreciate that! We did have a wonderful time! By the way, I've always wondered - when people do the "mega posts", how do you do that if I want to do that sometime? Do I just copy and paste all of them into one post and type into it or is there an easier way? Thanks! :-D
