My sister texted me today that she is painting her bedroom & listening to the new Kohls Cares Christmas cd! YES! I'm rubbing off on her! Ha ha!!

I feel somewhat better after just now talking again to my mom who is at the hospital in Tx with my sister...at least she has seen her,I am sure my sister is confused waking up on a ventilator in ICU instead of the recovery room for minor surgery..she works at that same hospital as a nurse practitioner as well. They are going to do more tests tomorrow to find out why she was vomiting blood. I tell you social networking has helped as my family is spread out across the continental USA! Thanks everyone and please keep her in your prayers!

crazy weather in the UK - the sun is positively glowing in the sky, shorts and t-shirts have come out of hibernation and its the hottest september since 1985!

She lives in Texas like 1000 miles away from me...and she was suppose to have routine surgery this morning but before they could start it she began vomiting blood and she stopped breathing which is confusing to me because I thought everyone was a a respirator during that time..anyways I feel helpless because I don't know how accurate and complete my mom is being with me. SHe is in the ICU unit until they find out what is wrong with her...TIA Christmas family...

Long long post here responding to people's posts from the last three days! =)

Well we (me and my little family) are back from THE BEST VACATION EVER!!!

I'm so glad you had such a great time! It sounded like so much fun!

Here she is, The Cutest Kitten in the World - and yes, I am totally biased

She's totallyyyyyyy cute!!! I saw her picture while my own cat Sangria was in my lap sleeping, so I took a picture of her. I'll have to upload it here in a few days!

Thanks! It was actually a great first night back. It was like I hadn't left at all...haha. It wasn't too bad - the new stuff we got on the computers as far as the computer charting went came back to me very quickly. It was nice too because it wasn't super busy last night and I had time to actually sit and look at the stuff!

You're going to love having a Kohl's! One of the best stores out there!

I'm glad your first day back was great and you were able to get back into the groove quickly. And I agree about Kohl's, and not just because I work there! =p

We are still missing one, Sidney (named after Sidney Crosby) my boys favorite cat, who followed them around like a little dog, has not come home. He is the sweetest cat ever, such a great temperament, we have looked for him all night. We are all devastated because we can't find him, I just hope he comes home tonight, he is an indoor cat, so I hope he can make it.

xmas, my heart dropped when I first read this and I am SO glad to hear that he's back, even with injuries. I hope he's back at 100% soon!!!

Hey Guys! I got home at 2 am local time(est) and the first thing I noticed when I got off the plane was that my good friend From massechusetts who I have not seen in years showed up he is a dean of history at a set of colleges in Amherst. We have so little in common especially politically but when we are together I can talk to him forever because he is so smart and I ask alot of questions. Brandi of course is very pregnant now,I could not wait until I got back to find out the gender and it's a boy! it's so good to be home I have not been to sleep yet and I will try to stay awake all day..brandi is getting ready for work,the schools here are out thursday and friday for fall break so we will have a long long weekend before we both go back on monday!

Awesome news!!! How did it go at the other two? Did you book Yorktowne? How is the dress search coming along? What about your wedding party? What theme are you going with?

LOL, so many questions, I love it! The wedding and planning have become my new favorite things to talk about. =D I liked the other two, but nothing quite compared to the Yorktowne. We did book the Yorktowne, we just have to look over the contact and sign and then it's OFFICIAL, yay! The dress search is going...I've been to three places so far and am going to another tomorrow...I've had to go alone to 2 of the places so far since everyone has to work, so I'm hoping one of my matrons of honor and a good friend from work will be able to go tomorrow! Wedding party has all been asked on my side...DF still has one more to ask and then it's all set. We are having 8 (yes, eight) people on each side, so it will be a huge wedding party (but also a big wedding altogether what with all DF's family). We don't really have a theme per se, our colors are navy blue and silver for Penn State, but that's about all the theme we're going to have. Our overall theme will be HAVE FUN, lol! =)

For everyone else having a ookie time just know I was right therer with you over the weekend, spent the whole thing in the hospital due to dehydration. But I am all good now (I hope). Which means we didnt get anything done this past weekend but will probably do it sometime this week.

My pup, Harlowe, has been ill again for the past few days, and I'm concerned. I've put a call into her vet, her appointment is still a few weeks out. Waiting to hear back from her on how to proceed, where we go from here. Please say prayers and send good thoughts!

As I just posted in my mega post, as other people have been posting about their fur friends lately, my 5 year-old golden retriever Ella is healthy that we know of (thank goodness). However, my husband was petting her the other day and found a huge mass on her (it's located right below her rib cage). It's pretty big, so we're not sure what to think. She has an appointment with the vet this coming week. I don't want to freak out yet, but it's just scary. She's young and I just hope it's a fatty deposit or something along that line. If you guys could say a prayer for her, I would appreciate it. As you guys who have fur friends, you all know too well, their your buddies and she was our first "baby". Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

can I please ask You guys to pray for my daughter Kandice too? She had the most horrible screaming attack due to a terrible headache...now I dont know if it is a migraine...or if she was just overly tired...it was just heartbreaking to see her in pain......I cried after she fell asleep, too......so prayers would be highly appreciated

Sending good thoughts to Kandice! As someone who suffers from migraines pretty regularly, I can only imagine what it has to be like for a child. I hope she feels better soon!!!

This humidity is hanging on here in PA... making me slowly lose my mind! I turn into such a grouch when it's humid! I am getting through it knowing we won't make it out of the FIFTIES on Sunday!!! Yahoooooo!

I am ready too for the humidity to move OUT of PA!!! We could've had the windows open and the a/c on this whollllllle time if not for the humidity! I can't believe it's gonna be in the 50's for a high on Sunday...as much as I hate humidity, I'm not ready for such chilly temps, lol!

Nervous about it because I so need a good paying job, but also have a lot less experience that what they are wanting.

Well my niece's allergic reaction keeps getting worse. She has come home from school the last 2 days because it has been itching so much. The School won't give her any over the counter medicines and the doctors won't give her a prescription because she just had a 500mg dose of steroids. My sister is trying to get her in the allergist before they go down for her next infusion next week. On top of all that my nephew had a boy in his classroom come down with chickenpox so my sister has call the RA doctor to let him know. With all of the different medicines she's on it limits her immune system and she needs to be treated if she comes in any kind of contact with it.

This is the arm she got the IV in and her face is all broke out too.

OMG, that is terrible!!! I hope she gets to feeling better soon, and can find something to make the pain go away...so heartbreaking.

Dark and rainy today, after the Red Sox's BIG LOSS. In our "film room" we have a big plush penguin and a Wimpy doll that both wear Red Sox hats during the season. Now comes the sad time of taking off their caps and putting them away for next year.

I have been a bad Sox fan since getting engaged and I had to work at Hallmark last night...they LOST?? So the season is definitely over??? What the freak happened? They were up by so much and then just...argh. I need to stop before I get p-o'd...

awe shucks, totally missed out on the pines tonight!

On the bright side, applied to a trucking company that my friend works at to try and get a job as a driver of straight truck / van. This is much more to my liking than the big semi truck that wanted me our 24/7.
The smaller trucks will have me home most nights, occasionally I will be over night somewhere. Most trips will take me to Detroit, Chicago and Ottawa areas.

Nervous about it because I so need a good paying job, but also have a lot less experience that what they are wanting.

But I feel the same way as you CM3, I never met a furchild I didn't love and I mean that, I work with a rescue group to foster abandon and abused dogs/cats/ferrets/birds/you name it and we had some pretty bad cases come in, and I always find kindness no matter what is understood universally....

I go to the airport tonight to pick up my sister- I'm so excited to have her here!!
Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers for Harlowe. I spoke to her vet last night, and she wants me to bring her in this weekend for complete labs. She did say that a bug was going around, and that she's seen quite a few dogs this week with stomach/nausea issues. Hope it's just that. It's been difficult to get her to eat, so she'll on a mild diet for a bit. I'll keep you posted on the results when I get them back next week.

Interview went well yesterday. It was close to 2 hours. Sheesh! So I will know by the end of next week if I have the job! Lets hope I do! When I brought my Halloween stuff out I had to take the Christmas tree out. I wanted to put it up lol. So did William. He kept pointing at it saying "Crimis Tree Daddy!" hehe. Like Father like Son! Looks like we are going to have great weather this weekend. Highs in the upper 50's and lows in mid 30's. It will really feel like football weather Friday night at the high school football game. High School football is the community event in our county. We only have 1 high school and everyone is there for the games.

Wow, that is so wild, we are still at 78 degrees today and it is pouring rain, I don't get it - this time of year we are in the mid 60's, we had 3 days in the 60's, and Sept is usually the BEST month on Long Island dry, warm not hot, no humidity, BLUE - BLUE skies, not this one it has rained, it is hot, humid, and just plain yucky!

The rouladen at mom's last night was just as wonderful as I wanted it to be! I ate so much, it was painful...but it was worth it! There were ten of us eating, and so much was leftover, I hope we get to go back!

My son's math teacher is from Germany, so he took a tupperware bowl full for him, too. I can guarantee a "A" in that class after he eats that meal!

Hmmm, more black mail I see, I think I like that plan though, how about a little strudel next time!!!

The weather seems to be getting to more seasonable temperatures. A high in the low 70s today. From there, nothing but low 60s and 50s for the next week. Fall is finally arriving. Believe it or not, there is a possibility of a little bit of snow showers on Sunday, too. Wouldn't that be interesting?!

Hello Christmas family!

It's been a very busy few days! Worked at Hallmark last night and again tonight. I love looking at all the Christmas stuff...we are getting more and more in each day, so much so that we don't have places to put everything yet! It made for a very stressful night last night and I'm hoping tonight will go much more smoothly. We shall see.

Kohl's has been very busy as well. I'm not sure what's going on but it seems like it's just all happening at one time. Just can't wait for the weekend!

Tomorrow I have another bridal shop appointment, my 4th different salon and this one has a lot of dresses that the previous 3 haven't had. Hoping one of my matrons of honor and a work friend can go with me...I really don't like dress shopping by myself!

I keep thinking there was something else I wanted to share, but for the life of me, I can't think of what it was! I guess if I think of it later, I'll write it down and post it later, haha. Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!! =)

He certainly did! He graduated with a degree in Geography, and currently makes maps for a living. So, he actually has all the best spots to take photos in the area all mapped out. He's also not really a fan of photographing people, so he just sticks to scenery, which he seems to have mastered.

The Sox's 7/20 September had a lot to do with wtf happened. The story of last night's game is here. We were ahead until the ninth, then they started hitting off of Pap---two doubles and a single. We lost + the Rays won = end of season. It's gonna be a long October in New England ...
