I wish we even had a DQ near me!!! Dang it all anyway (but I did have some in Maine last week)!!! Us, too today it is a glory day but rain this weekend...

November 13th is a Sunday ... maybe we should all meet at Christmas Chat that day to kick off the season!

Oh, maybe I can schedule it so I can be around, weekends are really tough for me to get on... Must be here!!!! Great IDEA!!!!!




The only sports we follow in Carey House is baseball, so once the Red Sox are done, we reach for the DVDs instead of NESN. That's okay, 'cause it gives us more time to get ready for Christmas!

I live on Long Island, there haven't been bears here maybe over a a 100 years very suburban - is is possible if you see them out your windows to take a picture? Or would that make them mad? Do you have to lock your garbage cans up? I think I would pass out from fright, even though I do go hiking in Bear Country in what we call Upstate (NY) I have never seen one I really don't know if I could handle it, I would be very scared but I have done the Ranger training program of safety but a controlled enviornment is one thing it actually happening is quite another...

YAY too awesome for words, I know here the official start is 11/13 but for me I have always thought 10/1 was although I don't have all my decorations up it is just how I feel... OH YAY!!!!

Snow!?! I was happy to see mid-70's around here for tomorrow!

I have a picture I uploaded from my cell phone but I haven't been able to get pictures to upload to MMC from my work computer. I can't get on MMC from home because all we have is dial-up and it is way tooo slow. DSL is not available in our area. We don't have outside trash cans because of bears and other critters. We throw our trash bags in a dumpster that we pass on our way to town.

gabulldawg - have a safe trip. I don't blame ya a bit for flying out to be there! Hope everything turns out just fine!

Supposed to get down to 33º tomorrow night. Brrrrr! 38 tonight ! We will be turning on the furnace or turning on the Edinpure at the lake this weekend. I have 2 crockpots of soup for tonight at the lake. Sounds like a good night for it! So cold/windy/rainy right now! UGH!

Wow you go to a dumpster it is wild to learn how different areas live their normal days right, here I take my car to the train station, the train to NYC, and a subway to get downtown... I know it sounds like a lot but it really isn't as bad as it sounds. In your area do you get wild turkey's too???

All I have to say is OH no I hope I can do this I better get to thinking what to write upon... I too was awestruck... Never in my wildest dreams have I thought their was hundreds like myself and not just here in the US I mean we are all over the world!!! It make me so happy to know that, it renews my faith in God above that other like me embrace this time of year not just in late Nov to Jan 1 but all thoughtout, kind of like Maureen's post from last year...

Ok, so now my PM (sorry project Manager) is looking at me with two heads as I chock down my veggie wrap, and I tell him to stop laughing at me...

PS - he is a great boss he lets me play the MMC radio ALL DAY and NO ONE is allowed to touch it or turn it off!!! He RULES!!!!
 
And here is Seawaters from last year, now I am a complete happy mess... I loved these, I hope you all didn't mind me pulling these out... God, these have to be kept somewhere, just these posts!!! They have to be read by everyone... Ok, ok, sorry I am all worked up...

hey dont be silly its nice of you to do to do that. as i said they make good reading and anyone that was not in mmc last year like myself i think wood like to read them and we will soon have more so thanks again and dont be cross at me saying this but can you not do one for this year ???? :merry:

hi there not a chance of me doing it am not saying i dont feel the same hell i do maybe more about christmas
but am a talker not a writer i could not do anything like that
i think you wood be a nice person to do it. your kind. your love christmas and your on mmc a while and wood it not be nice for you to say the things thats in your heart for one year so yes i have someone in mind that i think wood write a good wee story YOU :merry:

:lol: you are way too sweet maybe we can collaborate (SP???) I just LOVE IT when you write "wee" it is almost like I can hear it, we have A LOT of Irish Carpenter's here and a few speak with such an accent I can bearly understand them, but the wee I love it!!!!!
