Hello everyone :)

Just checking in I haven't read thru all the posts yet. Hope you are all well and you had a good weekend. I pick up all my Halloween decorations, the kids in my neighborhood were happy they kept running by to see them, and my dog Snicker's was excited to see them she would run in circles!!! What a blast.

So. I hear that Anoka, MN is the Halloween Capital of the world. My question for you; is your constituency going to be the Christmas Capital of the world? (Please say Yes!) :celebrate:
I've been working on drafting my resolution for that very thing:

  • Whereas the mayor of Bellville is a known Christmas nut, and
  • Whereas his wife reports an inability to adjust his nuttiness in any appreciable way, and
  • Whereas he's been know to have a tantrum when he doesn't get his way,
  • Therefore, we, the Mayor and Council of Bellville, do hereby decree that our fair city should hereafter be known as "The Christmas Capital of the World".
What do you think? cheesy

Spicy Cabbage Soup, (sausage, cabbage, celery, onion, grn pepper, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes) & Cheesy cornbread & German Apple Cake to go with it!

Do you have left overs!!!! That sounds delish!!! Hope you had a good time at the lake.

It's been a long day.... Had a 2 and a half hour flight to Amarillo Tx,and sat in the hospital waiting room for hours on end.but the good news is my sister is going to be alright... turns out when they put her under for her surgery they rammed the tube down her throat to intubate her too hard and it ruptured her esophagus. So I guess that is why they have you sign all kinds of crap before surgery...you know liability issues and such. Im just glad she is okay and off the ventilator. She will have to have her orginal surgery much later after her throat heals.

I am so happy your sister is feeling better Dawg, how is Brandi and the son to be lil dawg!!!

Good evening,

Really sleepy tonight, one more day until my day off, my wife and I have a much needed date on Sunday. We are always go, go, go, with the kids in tow. Just need a break from them and have a little time to ourselves. JP had his second Cub Scouts meeting tonight, they are having a Pumpkin Festival tomorrow, but I will miss it due to my job. He really seems into this, which is a good thing, because soccer was a big failure, he lasted 15 minutes at that before not wanting to do it.
According to USA Today, Lowe's is supposed to be set for Christmas tomorrow, I may have to run over during my lunch break to check. And the way Kmart has disappointed I'm not holding my breath..

Have a great night!

Soon to be in "Ber" #2!

Too cool "Ber" #2!!! Wow, it goes fast doesn't it, feels like I couldn't wait for "ber" #1 and here we are at 2, how cool you and your wife have a date night, how was is? Hope you had a wonderful time, also glad to hear your son is enjoying the cub scouts.

Good evening, MMC family! Just quickly checking in. I am still going to be behind - I had to work daylight again today and I am exhausted, so I am not going to even sit here and try to read for the next few hours. I'm going with my mom to a fall festival tomorrow - it's only supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow - big change from the 60 - 70's! Then we're supposed to get back up into the 70's again next week. Well, I am going to head to bed. I will try very hard to get caught up tomorrow. Oh...I just ordered my cookbook before the deadline!

What temps right!!! On Sat by me it was 72 and on Subnday 68, today 63... But by next Sat we will be back up to 70. This weather is very warm for us... Did you like the festival?

1st of october getting near the big day. some of the shops in the town have put out there biscuits and things like that. not that there is a lot in out town. there is only me and another shop that do christmas stuff and the otehr shop every thing is really expensive in it. but lovely stuff
So thank god i have the run of the town there. as i get my stuff direct from mail order firms.(returns, overstock, stuff like that)
SO you all have a nice saturday

That is so cool, do you get to decide where things go and what gets ordered?

opps sorry forgot to say..
am kinda a bit stressted out this morning
there is 3 in my family 1 sister and 2 brothers.
So about a month ago i went to them and said about putting a headstone up at out parents grave. only one brother speakes to the sister as we cant get on with her as she is so cold hearted you wood not beleive and we got him to ask her
She said yes thats ok and we all agreed the money wood be paid this weekend as the headstone wood be ready on the 5th oct
The brother went to her last night, and she said she had not got it and wood not have it......(she has 2 jobs and get paid the last day of the month) i wood not have minded if she had of said at the time i cant aford it, at least us 3 wood have known where we stood
Which means that her share is left to us 3 now the 2 brothers are saying that they cannot aford to pay her share
I REALLY DO FEEL LIKE GOING DOWN TO HER but know if i did i wood lost the plot. and am better than that..
Am siting there thinking i will have to put her share in. but what can i do. i know shes my sister and i should love her but hell i cant i dont even like her. i dont no what happened her. she is really cold hearted. can give you a look that wood cut you in 2 and everything she says . she has the gift of making you feel so small. not just to us but to everyone. she has no friends. SORRY TO GO ON AND ON.. but honestly if you knew her she wood annoy a saint in heaven
So that my rant over >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> o have a good day talk soon

Hey, n/p on the rant we all need to from time to time... My Nana would tell me you know L we cannot pick our family, we can only accept them for who they are, doesn't mean we have to like them, or even love them, but know that they are there and might come around one day, so keep your heart open to the possibility they may come seeking your love & understanding. I am not sure if it makes sense really, and while it may seem that she is being hurtful to you and your brother's the one she is really hurting is herself, as for not putting up her share after she said she would, that stings, now it has fallen to you. I am sad for you, sometime it is hard to know why someone hurts the ones close to them.

well HELLLLOOOOOOOOO october!!!!!!

can't believe it's here! so many presents to buy and so little time.

i really hope time between now and december goes slow, i want to enjoy every second, i don't want it to rush by.

have a fabulous october weekend everyone

Thank you, hope you did as well. Right for me The Season starts on 10/1, I just try to savor every moment as I know it speeds by.

I just saw a hersheys kiss halloween commercial it's the first one I have seen all season,I am downright giddy today..I feel like it's the kickoff to the holiday season! The only thing that would be even better would be that Georgia will win today against Mississippi State! Go Dawgs! woof woof.:)

I know I have been too, it is SO awesome!!! And the Giants pulled out a win WOOO HOOO!!!!

Brad -Still praying for your brother's girlfriend and of course, your friend Gail ((HUGS))
You're very sweet to remember them, thanks!

So glad you and your wife will have time together ...!! I can't wait for Lowe's to put their Christmas stuff out !! Hurray !!

CM3 - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new avatar and the signature picture!!! They are AWESOME!!!!

Hello Hello Hello

Gingermel - Swop you Strongbow for an elf!

Am slightly envious of you guys and the fall celebrations that you have. We don't really decorate for fall but I would love to. I may see if I can get some bits and bobs tomorrow :pumpkin:

Right I am off to print some info on the St Francis for the kids for tomorrow. I was telling my 7 year old about how he could talk to the animals and he said 'He must be one of the X-Men!' I love kids logic!!!!

After QVC Bethlehem Lights are over, HSN will be showing Fall Harvest Preview (a selection of fall-themed food). 4-5 pm central time.

Can someone abbreviate in one sentence what all I have missed on here this last week?

I cannot seem to catch up!

Poor Wayne is very sick and has been throwing up all night long. He is suppose to teach Sunday School tomorrow but not sure if he can make that. Please send your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery! Thanks!

I hope Wayne is feeling better.

As for the abbreviated posts... I don't know if anyone can keep up!!! HA, HA, HA!!!

PS !! Saw my doc yesterday...got a Kenalog shot and my flu shot. Asthma is no longer a problem !!!! I actually SLEPT last night with only one pillow behind my back !!! In the coming days I should actually be able to lay flat again.....like a normal person (well sort of normal person !!8-))

xoxoxo

YAY Good for you CM3!!! And for Wish too!!! As for the "Normal" hmmm, I think because you are so nice/sweet we can let that slide, but you better never call your self normal again!!! The very idea that someone as unique as you would say that about herself!!!

Perfect weather here for fall lovers....56 degrees..hanging out on the deck drinking coffee....about to let my dogs go jump in the bed with the wife...I think it's time for her to get up....she tried to act mad when I do that....but she ends up just laughing with dog slobber all over her face...good times...good times...

I can't believe in two weeks we will be under a month til the season...

Told the wife we better get busy buying presents...we are going to clean out the garage (it's a one car) because in a couple of weeks I'm getting the lights out and replacing bulbs...I have no idea how I'm going to decorate the house since this is really our first year in it (moved in two days before Thanksgiving) and last year we didn't go all out....that's going to change shortly.

I agree Xmas that it seems like September started like yesterday...just think...November will be here before we know it...like tomorrow...and December will be here the day after tomorrow....good times coming...I wish the year was just three months...Oct, Nov, Dec.....that would be nice...

I like the sound of the dogs waking you up that is so cute... It is kind of exciting I bet to plan what you will pit where and the lights, that is one good thing about a new house too!!!

Uh...would never, ever root for the Yankees! I mean, maybe if they played...no. Nope. Sorry Lauriebear! =p

Yep, went and looked at more dresses. Tried on about 11 or 12, loved 7 of them. While I love the experience, I'm starting to wonder if I will ever be able to narrow down the search. I've been to 4 places now and I loved 3 at the first appt, 5 at the second, 2 at the third, and now 7 here. UGHHHHH. And pretty much none of them are in my price range. It sucks!

.

OMG!!!! I laughed so hard after that!!! Funny!!!

I agree with MC I believe once you find "The" dress you will know. But, it sure is fun trying them all on... As for the price range my girlfriend did look through the discount racks, she found one she loved, also another girlfriend bought a used one on-line. Good pricing and both had them fitted, Maybe you can look into that route?

I will soon be on the Lear jet to come over and give her my teacher stare. Trust me. I am meaner than she is, and I DO NOT back down!! The very idea that she would treat her family like that.

Ohhh no not the "TEACHER" stare!!!!

G

I had one of the busiest days yesterday...I was hardly able to get any work done during my 4.5 hours at Kohl's, so I had to go back in after my hair appt (which was awesome) and my dress appt (which was awesome). I went back in at 5:30 and didn't leave til almost 8:30 (which was not awesome). The worst part was unloading a pallet of really heavy supplies by myself...for those who don't know, I'm a pretty small girl who can barely lift 30 lbs (yeah yeah, I'm a weakling, I'm aware, lol) and these boxes were at least 45-50lbs. So with no one to help me, that alone took almost 2 hours. Needless to say, when I finally got home, I had DF make me a drink and I passed out somewhere around 11 (VERY early for me on a weekend night!). I am more than looking forward to a relaxing weekend watching lots of football and hanging out with friends!

Ever since Hallmark got their new Christmas CDs in earlier this week, I haven't been able to get "Everybody's Waiting for the Man with the Bag" out of my head! Not that I'm complaining...but I really think I'm gonna have to buy that CD. Actually, there are about 4 CDs they have this year that I think I'm going to buy! Sometimes it's hard to work in the stores I do...not good for the bank account or wedding fund! =p

I'm gearing up for Penn State football today! I've already got the PSU pants on...next comes the jersey, socks, earrings, bracelets, slippers, and maybe even the Santa hat if they need some extra juice! It's their first Big Ten matchup and while it's only Indiana...with the way they've been playing lately (and not able to choose a FREAKIN' STARTING QB /football rant), I'm not taking anything for granted!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Love to all! <3

Hope you enjoyed your game!!!

Hubby and I are on our way out of town to take a bed to his sister. We will stay until late Monday. I will award prizes then for the milestone posters. Besides, I might find a good bargain on some prizes during our four-hour trip! Have a great day, everyone. I will try to check in later.

Hope you have a GREAT time!!!

Lauriebear: I loved that you posted the links to the special posts last year - I never did get to read them last year as that is when I had so much trouble accessing the site.

Good morning, Christmas family!

It is a grey and gloomy morning out. I woke up with a monster of a headache which is going away, but the meds I took are making me very sleepy. I have work to do, though, so must fight it off. This morning I let Palmer run around the house for a bit and Mouse had a hissy fit and hid behind my bed. Palmer got scared and wanted to hide, too, but the only place she feels safe is in the bathtub. Needless to say, I have a wee (as Shellie would say) bit of a problem on my hands.

I am going to start work in a few minutes, but I will have on MCR, so it will be a rather pleasant time!

Thank you, again, to Lauriebear for posting the links to last year's special posts. Christmasstar, Binger, Maureen, AuntieMistletoe and Seawaters - thank you for the beautiful posts - reading them really helped me out this morning!

Have a wonderfully MERRY Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome, they were awesome right!!! Just thinking about them makes me want to re-read them now!!! I think I just might!

vsuclaribnl: I'm pretty sure that when you find the right wedding dress, you will know it! In the meantime, enjoy trying on all the other ones that catch your fancy

I agree!!! You will know!!!!

Can you come and be Mayor for our city!?!?!??!?!

You should start something where you live. Maybe it will catch on and more people will start decorating for fall! =)

Im a HUUGE weather nut..to the point I plan on moving in 2 years to a completly different climate. Maybe I will be sick of snow then..But I dream of living on a farm up north and sitting in the living room looking out to see it snow.ahhh

That is one of the nice things about living in the Midwest - we get all four seasons and I look forward to all of them to a certain degree but I'm unusual in that Fall/Winter are my favorite seasons of the year.

I am not sure if anyone else is watching Home Shopping Network but David's Cookies are about to come on. They look so good and have the cutest cookie jars. They have Christmas and Halloween cookie jars. The Christmas one is a Santa. I want that one!

Hope Joes Mom will be okay!! and I hope you feel better soon!!!!

someone on my facebook made a status about seeing eggnog in a grocery store too! hahaha

I AM a weather enthusiast!!!!! always checking websites etc.. when I was younger my mother told me too be a weather girl hahaha8-)

I think I missed my calling - every time I watch a weather forecast I'm jealous that they can make a living studying what I always study on my own for free!

Forget the jars. I just want the brownies!!!!!!!

Well my niece's just left. I was coughed and sneezed on for the last 3 hours so I'll probably be sick tomorrow morning.

Forget the Brownies. I want the cinnamon rolls!!!!!!

I want the brownies! I don't know why I bother watching it because I can't eat them anyway. :x Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa! If they were wheat/gluten free then I could! Stupid allergies!!!!

But what about the Santa jar!? He was cool!

That's true. I just bought 2 Santa cookie jars last year after christmas but you can never have to many Santa's. So bring on Santa filled with Brownies and side order of those cinnamon rolls. cheesy
